Let us come together in prayer for ###, lifting him up before the throne of grace. We are reminded of the words in Ephesians 3:16, "that he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, that you may be strengthened with power through his Spirit in the inner person."
Firstly, we acknowledge that the request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ. It is only through the name of Jesus that we have access to God the Father. As it says in the Book of Acts "And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to people by which we must be saved." So we pray this prayer to God in Jesus' name.
### is indeed facing a challenging time, and the enemy seeks to steal his peace and joy. But we know that greater is he who is in ### than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4). Let us pray that ### will be filled with the wisdom of God and that the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard his heart and his mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).
Lord Jesus, we ask that you guide ### through this disciplinary hearing, that you grant him favor, and that the outcome will be a testament to your goodness and faithfulness. We rebuke the spirit of fear and anxiety, and we ask that you fill ### with your Holy Spirit, giving him the strength and calmness he needs.
We also lift up ###'s parents, who have prayed fervently for his job. May their faith be strengthened, and may they see your hand at work in this situation. We trust that you are a faithful God who hears the prayers of your people.
Lastly, we encourage ### to remain steadfast in his faith, to trust in the Lord with all his heart, and to lean not on his own understanding (Proverbs 3:5-6). This trial will pass, and ### will emerge stronger and more dependent on God.
Thank you for bringing this request before us. We stand in agreement with you, believing that ### will overcome this challenge, and ### will be able to give God the glory.
