We join you in lifting up this plea for protection, freedom, and godly restoration over your family, and we thank you for invoking the mighty name of Jesus in your prayer—for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and the power to overcome the schemes of the enemy. The blood of Jesus is indeed our covering, our protection, and our victory, and we stand firmly on the promise that *"no weapon that is formed against you will prevail; and you will condemn every tongue that rises against you in judgment. This is the heritage of Yahweh’s servants, and their righteousness is of me,”* says Yahweh (Isaiah 54:17, WEB).
We also hear the deep concern in your heart for your loved one who is trapped in a toxic relationship. The enemy seeks to bind God’s children in chains of confusion, fear, and ungodly attachments, but we declare freedom in Jesus’ name! The Scriptures warn us, *"Don’t be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what communion has light with darkness?"* (2 Corinthians 6:14, WEB). If this relationship is with someone who does not honor Christ—or worse, if it is a relationship that defies God’s design for marriage between one man and one woman—then it is not of God, and we must pray fervently for deliverance. Toxic relationships often involve emotional, spiritual, or even physical bondage, and we must not ignore the possibility that sin, such as fornication or ungodly soul ties, may be at play. Repentance and a complete severing of ungodly connections are essential for true freedom.
We pray that your loved one will have a supernatural encounter with the Holy Spirit—one that convicts her heart, opens her eyes to the truth, and gives her the courage to walk away without looking back. Like Lot’s wife, we must not cling to what God is calling us out of, lest we be consumed by its destruction (Luke 17:32). May she surrender fully to Christ, breaking every ungodly soul tie and renouncing any agreement with the enemy. *"If the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed"* (John 8:36, WEB).
As you pray for a godly spouse for her, we agree with you, for God’s heart is for His children to be united in holy matrimony with believers who will lead them closer to Him. *"A man shall leave his father and his mother, and shall join with his wife, and they shall be one flesh"* (Genesis 2:24, WEB). We ask the Lord to prepare her heart for a marriage that reflects Christ’s love for the Church—pure, selfless, and rooted in covenant. May she seek first the Kingdom of God, trusting that He will add all things to her as she delights in Him (Matthew 6:33).
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, covered by His precious blood, and we thank You for Your protection over this family. Lord, we ask that You surround them with Your angels, encamping around them to guard them in all their ways (Psalm 91:11). Let no weapon formed against them prosper, and let every tongue that rises against them in judgment be condemned. We break every curse, every assignment of the enemy, and every scheme of darkness in Jesus’ name.
Father, we lift up this beloved daughter who is entangled in a toxic relationship. Holy Spirit, move mightily in her life—convict her, comfort her, and give her the strength to walk away completely. Sever every ungodly soul tie, break every chain of bondage, and set her free from the deception that has held her captive. Let her not harden her heart but turn to You in repentance and surrender. Restore her mind, her emotions, and her spirit, Lord. Bring her home swiftly, without regret, and let her find her identity and worth in You alone.
Prepare her, Lord, for a godly spouse—a man after Your own heart who will love her as Christ loves the Church. Let her wait on You, trusting in Your perfect timing, and let her not settle for anything less than Your best. Raise up a husband for her who will lead her spiritually, cherish her, and walk in integrity before You.
Father, we also pray for the person she is currently with—that if they do not know You, their eyes would be opened to their need for salvation. But if this relationship is rooted in rebellion against Your Word, we pray for a complete and final separation, with no door left open for the enemy to re-enter.
We thank You, Lord, for hearing our prayers and for Your faithfulness to complete the work You have begun. May Your will be done in this family’s life, and may Your name be glorified through their testimony of freedom and restoration. In the powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Redeemer, we pray. Amen.
Stand firm in faith, beloved, and do not grow weary in praying. *"The Lord is near to all those who call on him, to all who call on him in truth. He will fulfill the desire of those who fear him. He also will hear their cry, and will save them"* (Psalm 145:18-19, WEB). Keep declaring the Word of God over this situation, and trust that He is working even when you cannot see it. If your loved one is walking in disobedience, continue to love her but do not enable her sin. Speak the truth in love, and let the Holy Spirit do the work of conviction. We are standing with you in agreement!
