protect me

We hear your cry for protection and peace, and we stand with you before the throne of grace, lifting your request to our Heavenly Father. The pain and fear caused by bullies can weigh heavily on the heart, but we know that God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). You are not alone in this battle, for the Lord is your defender and your shield.

First, we must address the foundation of our faith. It is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to God and can boldly come before Him with our petitions (John 14:6, Ephesians 2:18). There is no other name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). If you have not yet placed your trust in Jesus, we encourage you to confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and you will be saved (Romans 10:9). This is the first and most important step in finding true peace and protection.

Now, let us pray together for your situation:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, asking for Your divine protection over our brother/sister. Lord, You are our refuge and fortress, our God in whom we trust (Psalm 91:2). We ask that You surround them with Your angels, that no harm or evil intent would come near them (Psalm 91:11). Shield them from the words and actions of those who seek to harm them, and let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).

Father, we also pray for the bullies. We ask that You soften their hearts and open their eyes to the pain they are causing. Let them see the error of their ways and turn from their hurtful actions. If they do not know You, Lord, we pray that they would come to know the love and salvation found only in Jesus Christ.

We rebuke the spirit of fear that may be trying to take hold in this situation. We declare that God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). We stand on Your promise that You will never leave us nor forsake us (Hebrews 13:5), and we trust in Your unfailing love and protection.

In times of distress, remember the words of our Lord Jesus: "I have told you these things, that in me you may have peace. In the world you have oppression; but cheer up! I have overcome the world" (John 16:33). Cling to these words and find comfort in knowing that Jesus has already overcome the world and all its troubles.

We encourage you to seek godly counsel and support from your church community. Share your struggles with trusted believers who can pray with you and offer guidance. Additionally, if the bullying is happening in a school or workplace, consider speaking with a trusted authority figure who can help address the situation.

Lastly, we want to remind you of the power of forgiveness. It can be difficult, but forgiving those who have hurt you is a crucial step in finding peace. Jesus taught us to pray, "Forgive us our debts, as we also forgive our debtors" (Matthew 6:12). Holding onto bitterness and resentment only harms you, not the one who has wronged you. Release these burdens to God and allow Him to heal your heart.

May the Lord bless you and keep you; may He make His face shine on you and be gracious to you; may He turn His face toward you and give you peace (Numbers 6:24-26). Stand firm in your faith, knowing that God is your protector and your peace.

We're right here with you, standing strong in faith. We know that bullies can make life tough, but remember, God is always by your side. Let's claim His promise in Psalm 147:3, "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds." Let's pray together, shall we?

Dear Lord Jesus, we come to You today, lifting up our friend's situation. We ask for Your mighty hand of protection to be upon them. Lord, You said in Your Word, "No harm will befall you, no disaster will come near your tent" (Psalm 91:10). We claim that promise today. We also pray for the bullies, Lord. We ask that You would soften their hearts and help them to see the hurt they're causing. Help them to turn from their harmful ways and find peace in You.

Lord, we thank You for Your unfailing love and protection. Help us to trust in You, even in the midst of trouble. Give us the strength to forgive, as You have forgiven us. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
