Probably Christianity is not suitable, I can't get any money or anything from it. Thus, now I stop going to church already and start my way of getting cash which your God will had never provided this but countless insults and mockery or reduction to do MacDonald job just for God will where I had a diploma in computer science and years of experience in Business Analyst so now, I stopped going to church and it will be permanent as such and faith will be cast aside.

We have read your words with deep concern and we are praying for you together in Jesus' name. We hear your disappointment about money and work and the feeling that God has not provided as you expected, and that you have decided to stop going to church and cast aside faith to pursue cash in your own way. We must speak to you honestly and in love because what you are describing is not Christianity failing you, but a misunderstanding of what Christianity is and what God has promised.

Christianity was never intended to be a way to get money or material gain. The Lord Jesus did not come to make us rich in this world, but to save us from sin and give us eternal life. We must rebuke the idea that faith is unsuitable because it does not produce cash, for that makes God into a servant of our desires rather than we being servants of His will. Jesus said in Matthew 6:24, No one can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will be devoted to one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and Mammon. And in Matthew 6:33 He said, But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. God promises to supply what we need, not all that we want. Philippians 4:19 says, My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. Our needs are met in Christ, but our greed is not satisfied by Him.

We also must address your view of work. You mention having a diploma in computer science and years of experience as a Business Analyst and that a job at McDonald's would be a reduction and an insult. We understand the discouragement of underemployment, but we must gently correct the pride in that view. God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble in James 4:6. Honest work of any kind done unto the Lord has dignity. Colossians 3:23 says, Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men. No honest labor is beneath a child of God, and God often uses humble seasons to refine our character and teach us contentment. 1 Timothy 6:6-8 says, But godliness with contentment is great gain. For we brought nothing into the world, and we certainly can’t carry anything out. But having food and clothing, we will be content with that. And 1 Timothy 6:10 warns, For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some have been led astray from the faith in their greed, and have pierced themselves through with many sorrows. When we make getting cash our way and our god, we pierce ourselves and wander from the faith.

You also say you have stopped going to church and that it will be permanent. We must tell you this is disobedience to God's will and dangerous for your soul. Hebrews 10:25 says, not forsaking our own assembling together, as the custom of some is, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching. To forsake fellowship is to isolate yourself from encouragement, correction, and the means of grace God has given. To cast aside faith is to turn away from the only hope of salvation. Hebrews 3:12 says, Beware, brothers, lest perhaps there be in any one of you an evil heart of unbelief, in falling away from the living God. And Jesus asked in Matthew 16:26, For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world and forfeits his life? Or what will a man give in exchange for his life? Even if your new way of getting cash succeeded, what would it profit if you lose your soul.

We also notice you speak of God but you do not mention the name of Jesus Christ. We must tell you plainly that there is no access to God except through Him. Jesus said in John 14:6, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. And Acts 4:12 says, There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. Christianity is not a system of morals or a way to get blessings, it is reconciliation with God through the blood of Jesus who died for our sins and rose again. If you have not truly trusted in Him, your faith may have been in what God could give you rather than in Christ Himself. We urge you to repent and believe in the Lord Jesus Christ for forgiveness and new life.

The insults and mockery you have felt are painful, and people can be cruel, but God Himself has not mocked you. He sees your struggle and He invites you to humble yourself before Him. Romans 8:28 reminds us, We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, for those who are called according to his purpose. Even disappointment in your career can be used for good if you turn to Him.

We pray together for you now.

Father in heaven, we lift up this dear one before You in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son. We ask You to have mercy and open eyes to see that You are not a means to money but the holy God who offers eternal life through Jesus. We pray You would convict of the love of money and of pride and of forsaking Your assembly, and grant repentance. Lord, forgive the turning away and the casting aside of faith, and draw this heart back to Yourself. Reveal Jesus as the only way of salvation and the true treasure. Provide for daily needs according to Your riches, give contentment and humility, and give dignified work that honors You, whether great or small in the eyes of the world. Heal the hurt of insults and mockery and let Your comfort be known. Restore a love for Your church and for fellowship. We pray that instead of pursuing cash in a way that departs from Your will, there would be a surrender to Your will and trust in Your goodness. Lead back to the cross and to new life in Christ. We ask this in Jesus' name, Amen.

We urge you not to make this departure permanent. Turn back to the Lord while there is time, confess your sin, trust in Jesus alone to save you, and return to fellowship with other believers. Seek first His Kingdom, and trust Him to provide what you need as you walk humbly and work honestly before Him.

It makes sense you would feel let down when you had hoped your faith would lead to provision and stability.

When work and income are shaken, it is not only money that is affected. So much of our daily structure and sense of worth is tied to what we do, so a loss of job security can feel like grief even while you are still trying to keep going. We understand why stepping away from church feels like the honest choice right now after the hurt you have experienced.

If it helps, one small step we have seen steady others is to separate the immediate financial pressure from the larger questions about faith, so they do not have to be solved all at once. For the work side, would you be able to talk with one trusted former colleague, mentor, or a local employment service about analyst roles that fit your background, and name the one most pressing bill or deadline so you can make a plan just for that piece. For the faith questions, you do not have to make a permanent decision today while you are still in the middle of disappointment. Giving yourself some space and talking honestly with one safe person as you process can keep you from closing a door in a moment of deep hurt.

Give him wisdom for next steps, protect his dignity, and guide him toward work that uses what You have given him. Provide for his daily needs and give him clarity as he seeks Your direction. Your honest words have been heard with heaviness of heart, and there is no desire to answer you with insult or mockery, but with truth and tenderness. You have spoken plainly that you have turned aside because faith did not bring you money, and that you count it better to cast faith away and seek cash by your own way. This is a sorrowful exchange, for you are seeking to trade a jewel for that which cannot keep the soul alive.

You say Christianity has not provided what you expected. Hear then what faith truly is, lest you mistake its purpose. Faith is not a bargain by which we hire God to give us wealth. Faith is a dropping down into the arms of Christ, a trusting in His person and His finished work. Without this faith it is impossible to please God, and with it, though it be but as a grain of mustard seed, a man is saved, for the least faith in Jesus is the gift of God and is like precious faith. It is true faith when it begins and ends with Jesus, and that little faith, though weak, belongs to the family of the saved and shall be tenderly handled by the Lord who does not quench the smoking flax.

Do not think that to have little faith, or to have been tried and disappointed, proves that faith is worthless. Little faith is still faith, but its littleness is its infirmity, not its excellency. The question is not whether you have strong faith, but whether you have any faith at all in the Lord Jesus Christ. That faith which saves the soul is a real faith, and a real faith will cling to Christ when there is nothing else to cling to. The just shall live by faith, not by wages or by position, and that means a faith about everything, a faith that can take nothing and be content with it because it finds everything in God, a faith that endures through the long dark dreary winter as well as in summer weather.

You speak of insults and of being reduced to low work though you have a diploma and experience. This stings the heart, and it is not light. Yet hear what the Scripture says, By faith Moses gave up the wealth of Egypt, choosing rather to suffer than to enjoy the riches of sin for a season. Faith does not promise that God will place you in the station you think you deserve, but faith gives you a shield that quenches the fiery darts of the wicked, whether they come from Satan, from mocking men, or from your own wounded spirit. This is the victory that overcomes the world, even our faith. Faith laughs at tribulation not because tribulation is not painful, but because it sees Him who is invisible and knows that all things are possible to him that believes.

To cast faith aside for cash is to cast away the shield and keep the darts. Money can buy bread and pay rent, but it cannot forgive sin, it cannot give peace with God, it cannot keep you in the hour of death. And that way which seems to promise quick gain will in the end prove to be the skulking place of cowards, not the shield of proof which God provides. Faith and repentance are twins born together. That faith which allows a man to think lightly of sin and to walk away from Christ has not the faith of God's elect. True faith says, Lord, thou hast forgiven me, and therefore I will not sin against thee.

There is yet hope for you, even now. If there remains in you even a mustard seed of desire toward Christ, that desire is itself a sign that God has not utterly left you. He who gave you faith at the first must give you more faith if you are to become strong in it. Ask Him for it. Cry to Him, Lord, increase my faith. Confess to Him that you have sought from Him gifts rather than Himself, and that you have been angry when He gave you Himself instead of money. Turn again to Him, for He is merciful.

Do not make your purpose permanent to forsake the assembling of the people of God. That path leads away from the very place where faith is fed by the Word and by prayer. Come back and hear the gospel again, not as a means to get cash, but as the means to receive Christ Jesus the Lord. As you have received Him, so walk in Him, bringing nothing in your hands but simply clinging to the cross. He knows your need for daily bread and He has promised to provide for His children, though often not in the way or the timing we demand. Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and trust Him for what is needful.

We will pray for you, not that God would bless your resolve to walk away, for we cannot ask Him to bless what leads away from His Son, but that He would have mercy upon you, open your eyes to see Christ as better than all gain, restore to you a living faith, and in His providence open honest work for your hands by which you may provide with a clear conscience. May the Lord bring you to that true faith which trusts Him in want and in plenty, and keeps you till the end.
