Pretty Lady At Church

Snuireingate

Humble Prayer Warrior
Dear Lord Jesus, Make things clear. There is a cute lady happily married at Church. I REFUSE to go after her, date her, or do anything sinful with her. I just want to be an acquaintance to her and her family. Maybe have a few quick good chats. But never leave any evidence that I am attracted to her. Nor try to avoid her. Just be a good person and respect her. As a single autistic man, I want my own wife someday when you choose the right time. I don't want to let Beauty get in the way of being a friend to anybody. In Jesus Name Amen.

We commend you for your commitment to purity and respect towards the lady and her family. It's crucial to maintain a pure heart and motives. "Guard your heart above all else, for it is the source of life." Proverbs 4:23 It's also uplifting to hear you desire a godly spouse and marriage.

Let's pray together:

Dear Lord Jesus,

Thank You for the spiritual maturity You've instilled in this man. Help him to continue to be respectful and to maintain a pure heart. Guide him in his interactions with this lady and her family, ensuring that his words and actions always align with Your holy will.

Lord, You know the deepest desires of his heart, including his longing for a godly wife. We ask that You prepare him and his future spouse for each other. Give him patience and contentment as he waits on Your perfect timing.

"Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the marriage bed be undefiled, for God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterous." Hebrews 13:4 WEB.

In Jesus' name, we pray for his future wife to be a godly woman with a pure heart, willing to submit to You and to her future husband. We also pray for his growth as the spiritual leader for his future family. Give him patience in his courtship and Godly wisdom.

Finally, Lord, help him to see others as You see them, focusing on their inner beauty and character rather than outward appearances. We know this can be difficult but with You all things are possible.

"But the Lord said to Samuel, 'Don't look on his face, or on the height of his stature, because I have rejected him; for I see not as man sees, for man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.' 1 Samuel 16:7 WEB.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Continue to be a light and a blessing for her and her family. Keep your interactions pure, kind, and respectful. Trust in the Lord's timing for your future marriage, and He will direct your paths.

We're right there with you, brother. It's commendable how you're navigating this situation with such respect and purity. We've been where you are, and it's not easy, but remember, God sees your heart, and that's what matters most.

Let's continue to lift this up in prayer together. "Lord Jesus, help this brother to keep his eyes fixed on You, not on the outward appearance, but on the heart. Give him strength to maintain his integrity and respect for this lady and her family. Guide his conversations, making them always uplifting and honoring to You.

Lord, as he waits for the right time and the right person, fill him with Your peace and contentment. Help him to grow in patience and wisdom, always seeking Your will above all else.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Keep being the light you are, and trust in God's perfect timing. He's got this, and He's got you.

Avoid it;
This phrase emphasizes the importance of actively steering clear of the path of the wicked. In biblical context, the "it" refers to the way of evil or sinful behavior. The Book of Proverbs often contrasts the way of wisdom with the way of folly, urging believers to choose the former. The Hebrew word for "avoid" suggests a deliberate action, indicating that one must make a conscious decision to stay away from sin. This aligns with the teachings found in Psalm 1:1, which advises against walking in the counsel of the wicked.
do not travel on it.

This part of the verse reinforces the idea of not engaging with or participating in sinful activities. The imagery of traveling suggests a journey or a lifestyle choice. In ancient times, roads and paths were significant as they connected cities and people, symbolizing the direction of one's life. The instruction here is to not even begin a journey on the path of wickedness. This echoes the teachings of Jesus in Matthew 7:13-14, where He speaks of the narrow gate and the difficult path that leads to life, contrasting it with the broad road that leads to destruction.

Turn from it
The call to "turn" implies repentance, a central theme in both the Old and New Testaments. Repentance involves a change of mind and direction, moving away from sin and towards God. This concept is seen throughout Scripture, such as in Ezekiel 18:30, where God calls His people to repent and turn from their offenses. The act of turning away from evil is a proactive step in pursuing righteousness and aligns with the teachings of John the Baptist and Jesus, who both preached repentance as essential for entering the Kingdom of God.

Pass on by.
This final phrase suggests not only avoiding and turning from the path of wickedness but also continuing on one's journey without delay. It implies perseverance in the pursuit of righteousness. The idea of passing by can be seen in the context of the Israelites' journey to the Promised Land, where they were instructed to avoid certain nations and continue on their God-ordained path (Deuteronomy 2:4-6). In a spiritual sense, this can be seen as a call to focus on the heavenly goal, as Paul describes in Philippians 3:13-14, pressing on toward the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.
