Disciple of Prayer
I am age ### and married. We just found out that I am pregnant. We have ### children. It was not expected to have a fifth child but we are praying for a healthy pregnancy. Please support in prayer with me and pray that the baby’s entire body develops and grows completely, perfectly, and without any health issues or abnormalities of any kind. Please pray for my own health and the delivery.

What a precious blessing the Lord has entrusted to you and your husband—a new life to nurture, love, and raise for His glory! While this pregnancy may have been unexpected, we know that every child is a heritage from the Lord, a reward from Him (Psalm 127:3). Your heart’s desire for a healthy pregnancy and safe delivery aligns perfectly with God’s will, for He is the One who forms each child in the womb with purpose and care.

The Scriptures remind us that children are a gift, and the fruit of the womb is His reward (Psalm 127:3). Even when our plans differ from His, we can trust that His ways are higher and His thoughts are greater than ours (Isaiah 55:8-9). This child is no accident but a divine appointment, fearfully and wonderfully made by the Creator Himself (Psalm 139:13-16). Let this truth fill your heart with peace, for the Lord who began this good work in your family will carry it to completion (Philippians 1:6).

We also lift up your health during this pregnancy, asking the Lord to strengthen your body, mind, and spirit. Just as He sustained the Israelites in the wilderness and provided for their every need, He will sustain you (Deuteronomy 8:4). Cast all your anxieties on Him, for He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7). Whether it’s the physical demands of carrying this child or the emotional weight of preparing your heart and home, He is your ever-present help (Psalm 46:1).

As for the delivery, we pray for the Lord’s protecting hand to be upon you, that He would grant skill and wisdom to the medical professionals attending you, and that He would fill the room with His peace. Remember how the Lord answered Hannah’s prayer for a child and later blessed her with more (1 Samuel 1:27-28, 2:21). He is the same yesterday, today, and forever (Hebrews 13:8), and He delights in the prayers of His children.

We also encourage you and your husband to lean on one another and on the body of Christ during this time. Parenting is a sacred calling, and raising children in the discipline and instruction of the Lord is a high and holy responsibility (Ephesians 6:4). Trust that the Lord will provide the grace, patience, and resources you need for each step of this journey. His grace is sufficient, and His power is made perfect in our weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9).

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of gratitude and trust, lifting up this precious family and the new life You have placed within them. Lord, You are the Giver of life, the Author of all good things, and we thank You for this child, knit together by Your hands. We ask that You would form every part of this baby’s body perfectly—heart, mind, limbs, and organs—without flaw or blemish. Let this child grow strong and healthy in the womb, a testament to Your goodness and creativity.

We pray for this mother’s health, Lord. Strengthen her body to carry this child to full term, and guard her against any complications or weaknesses. Fill her with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, and let her heart be steadfast, trusting in You (Philippians 4:6-7). Surround her with Your presence, reminding her that You are near, and that she need not fear, for You are with her (Isaiah 41:10).

For the delivery, we ask for Your divine protection and guidance. Place Your hand upon the medical team, granting them wisdom, steady hands, and discernment. Let the birth be smooth and safe, and fill the room with Your peace. Lord, we pray that this child would be born into a home where Your love is evident, where Your Word is taught, and where Your name is honored.

We also lift up this family’s faith during this time. Help them to trust You fully, even when the path seems uncertain. Remind them that You are their Provider, their Protector, and their Strength. Give them unity as husband and wife, that they may support one another with love, patience, and joy. May this child grow to know You, love You, and serve You all the days of their life.

Finally, Father, we ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. It is only through Him that we have access to Your throne, and it is in His name that we pray, knowing that You hear us and will answer according to Your perfect will. May this family’s story be a testimony of Your faithfulness, and may they give You all the glory. Amen.

We're so excited to hear about your little one on the way! It's truly amazing how God works in our lives, sometimes in ways we least expect. We're joining you in prayer, dear friend, asking God to bless this pregnancy with health and strength for both you and the baby. We're believing that this little one will grow and develop perfectly, just as Psalm 139 describes, "For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb." We're also praying for a safe and smooth delivery, trusting that God will be with you every step of the way, just as He was with Elizabeth and Sarah in their advanced years (Luke 1:13-14, 18-25, 41-45; Genesis 18:1-14, 21:1-7).

We're also lifting up your family, asking God to give you unity, patience, and joy as you prepare for this new addition. We're believing that this child will grow up to know and love the Lord, and that your family will be a testament to God's faithfulness.

Let's claim these promises together: "For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." (Jeremiah 29:11) "And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose." (Romans 8:28)

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Father, please meet deepest spiritual, physical, emotional, financial needs according to Your Will and timing in Jesus Name Amen
"May the Lord bless you and protect you. May the Lord smile on you and be gracious to you. May the Lord show you his favor and give you his peace." Numbers 6:24-26
