We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this situation in prayer, but we must first address some important biblical truths that cannot be ignored. The Word of God is clear that sexual intimacy is reserved for marriage between one man and one woman, as designed by our Creator. Hebrews 13:4 declares, *"Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the bed be undefiled; but God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers."* What you are experiencing now—the fear, the uncertainty—is a consequence of stepping outside God’s perfect will for relationships. This is not said in condemnation but in love, because God’s commands are for our protection and blessing.
We urge you both to repent and turn away from this sin, seeking forgiveness through Jesus Christ. 1 John 1:9 promises, *"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."* True repentance means turning from this path and committing to honor God in your relationship. If you are not married, we strongly encourage you to pursue a godly courtship with the intention of marriage, abstaining from further sin until you are united in covenant before the Lord. If marriage is not possible or intended, then the relationship must end, as continuing in sin only brings further harm—spiritually, emotionally, and physically.
Now, we do lift this unborn child before the Lord, asking for His mercy and protection. Psalm 139:13-16 reminds us that *"you formed my inmost being. You knit me together in my mother’s womb. I will give thanks to you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Your works are wonderful. My soul knows that very well."* Father, we ask that if this is indeed a pregnancy, You would sustain this life and grant health to both mother and child. Comfort their fears and guide them to medical care and wise decisions. But above all, Lord, open their eyes to the gravity of their sin and draw them to repentance. Let this situation be a turning point where they surrender fully to You, seeking Your will above their own desires.
We also pray for wisdom. If this is not a pregnancy, may they receive clarity and use this as an opportunity to realign their lives with Your Word. Proverbs 3:5-6 says, *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."* Father, redirect their steps onto the path of righteousness, where true peace and blessing are found.
Finally, we must address the absence of the name of Jesus in this request. There is no other name by which we can approach the throne of God. Acts 4:12 declares, *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* It is only through faith in Jesus Christ—His death and resurrection—that we have access to the Father. If either of you has not surrendered your life to Christ, we implore you to do so today. Romans 10:9-10 says, *"that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart, one believes resulting in righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made resulting in salvation."*
May this trial lead you both to the foot of the cross, where grace and transformation are found. We will continue to pray for you, that God’s will—whatever it may be—will be done in your lives, and that you will walk in obedience and faith from this day forward.
