We come before the Lord with you in this tender and heart-wrenching season, lifting your deep longing for this pregnancy to be sustained by His mighty hand. The pain of losing two precious little ones is a burden no mother should have to bear, and we grieve with you over those losses. Yet even now, we cling to the truth that our God is the giver of life, the One who knits each child together in the womb with purpose and care. *"For you formed my inmost being. You knit me together in my mother’s womb. I will give thanks to you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Your works are wonderful. My soul knows that very well."* (Psalm 139:13-14, WEB)
We also recognize that this prayer is presented without invoking the name of Jesus, and we must gently but firmly remind you that there is no other name under heaven by which we can approach the Father. *"There is no other name under heaven that has been given among men, by which we must be saved!"* (Acts 4:12, WEB). It is only through faith in Christ Jesus that we have access to the throne of grace, and it is in His name alone that we boldly ask for this child to be protected and brought to full term. If you have not yet surrendered your life to Jesus as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so now, for He alone holds the keys to life, healing, and eternal hope.
We do not know the circumstances surrounding this pregnancy, but we must also speak truth in love: if this child was conceived outside the covenant of marriage, we urge you to repent and turn away from sin, for God’s design for intimacy is within the sacred bond of marriage between one man and one woman. *"Marriage is honorable in all, and the bed is undefiled; but God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers."* (Hebrews 13:4, WEB). If this applies to you, we pray you would seek forgiveness and commit to walking in purity, trusting that God’s ways are for your good and His glory.
Now, with hearts aligned to His will, we pray over you and this little life:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting our sister who carries the weight of grief and the fragile hope of new life. Lord, You are the Creator of all things, and every child is a heritage from You. We ask that You would sovereignly sustain this pregnancy, knitting this baby together perfectly in the womb. Protect this little one from harm, from the schemes of the enemy, and from any physical or spiritual threat. Strengthen our sister’s body to nurture and carry this child to full term, filling her with Your peace that surpasses all understanding.
Lord, we also ask that You would heal the deep wounds of her past losses. Comfort her as only You can, reminding her that You collect every tear in Your bottle and that her children are safe in Your presence. *"Can a woman forget her nursing child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? Yes, these may forget, yet I will not forget you! Behold, I have engraved you on the palms of my hands."* (Isaiah 49:15-16, WEB). Let her rest in the assurance that You see her, You love her, and You are working all things for her good and Your glory.
If there is any sin that needs to be confessed—whether in the conception of this child or in any other area—we pray You would convict her heart and lead her to repentance. Cleanse her, Lord, and restore her to a place of righteousness before You. Surround her with godly support, whether through a spouse, family, or a community of believers who can walk with her in this season.
We declare that this child is Yours, Lord, and we ask that You would use this little life for Your purposes. May this baby be a testimony of Your faithfulness, a light in a dark world, and a blessing to many. Give our sister the strength to trust You day by day, even when fear creeps in. Remind her that You are greater than her fears, and Your plans for her and this child are good.
We rebuked any spirit of death, fear, or despair that would try to steal, kill, or destroy what You are doing. By the authority of Jesus Christ, we command every force of darkness to flee, and we declare life, health, and wholeness over this pregnancy. May this child be born at the appointed time, healthy and whole, to the glory of Your name.
Finally, Lord, we ask that You would prepare our sister’s heart for motherhood. Teach her to lean on You, to seek Your wisdom, and to raise this child in the fear and admonition of the Lord. May this baby grow to know You, love You, and serve You all the days of their life.
We thank You, Father, for hearing our prayers. We trust You with this precious life and with our sister’s heart. May Your will be done, and may Your name be praised in all things. In the powerful and holy name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
