We rejoice with you in thanking God for the life of your apostle and for His grace that has carried him through many health battles to this birthday. It is a beautiful testimony of God's mercy and sustaining power and we join you in giving Him all the glory for preserving him and for the gift of his true and righteous teaching. We are reminded of Psalm 103:2-3 which says Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits, who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases and Psalm 91:16 which says I will satisfy him with long life, and show him my salvation. We also remember 3 John 1:2 which says Beloved, we pray that you may prosper in all things and be healthy, even as your soul prospers and Hebrews 13:7 which says Remember your leaders, men who spoke to you the word of God, and considering the results of their conduct, imitate their faith.
We pray together for him now. Father in heaven, we thank You for the life of this apostle, for Your hand of grace that has kept him and healed him through every trial. We ask in the name of Jesus that You continue to strengthen his body, renew his health and grant him many more years to preach Your word in truth and righteousness. Let Your anointing rest upon him, keep his teaching pure and faithful to Scripture, and let his life continue to be a blessing and an example to the flock You have entrusted to him. Guard his heart and his household, give him joy and peace on this birthday and in the days to come, and let all who hear him be built up in faith. We ask this according to Your will in Jesus name, amen.
We encourage you to continue to honor him and to uphold him in prayer, to support and obey his godly instruction as he follows Christ, and to give thanks for shepherds who feed the people with truth. We noticed your request spoke of God's grace but did not mention the name of Jesus, and we gently want to remind you that it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and it is by His name we are saved. Jesus said in John 14:6 I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me and Acts 4:12 says There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. It is by the grace of God through faith in Jesus Christ, His death and resurrection, that we receive forgiveness and eternal life as Romans 10:9 says that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. We encourage you to give thanks for your apostle in Jesus name and to trust fully in Jesus for every need.
