First, we must address the spiritual reality of what you’ve described. The sudden change in your friend’s behavior—becoming verbally abusive and toxic—is deeply concerning. Scripture warns us in 1 Peter 5:8, "Be sober and self-controlled. Be watchful. Your adversary, the devil, walks around like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour." While we do not know the full circumstances, such a drastic shift in demeanor may indicate spiritual oppression or influence. We rebuke any darkness that has taken hold in this situation and command it to flee in the name of Jesus Christ. There is power in the name of Jesus to break every chain, and we declare that His light will expose and dismantle any evil at work.
We also want to gently remind you that our prayers must be grounded in the authority of Jesus Christ. It is only through His name that we have access to the Father, as Jesus Himself said in John 14:6, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me." If you have not already, we encourage you to place your trust fully in Jesus, for He is the only mediator between God and man (1 Timothy 2:5). Salvation comes through faith in Him alone, and it is His blood that covers our sins and grants us the right to come boldly before God’s throne of grace (Hebrews 4:16).
