Adonai Jehovah Tsuri, Rock...Abba...
I can't make You do anything, LORD...I can't do it. Sometimes I feel completely helpless when I appeal to You...So many prayer requests, but sometimes You seem so far away, so far, far away...
LORD, I don't want to be guilty of the sin of witchcraft: prayers that seek to manipulate You or fellow believers, LORD. I know that You are Sovereign, and that it is by YOUR good will and pleasure, not mine, that all things transpire. Yet, LORD, I see so much heartache on this board. So much hurt and pain...watching fellow believers have their lives devoured by the evil one. Watching marriages getting detonated, finances ruined, people getting sick and dying in spite of the most intense prayer efforts.
LORD, I'm discouraged. I know that You answer prayer, LORD. I know that You do, ***because I've seen it, and because I've seen direct supernatural events in my life.*** So, I know that You exist and that You are a rewarder of people who diligently seek You...
LORD, I'm begging You that if there is ONE prayer of mine that I post here on this board, I'm asking You in the Name of Jesus to grant it. I'm asking the following:
1) That You prepare the believers who pray on this board for the coming Tribulation, that You prepare them to face things such as rape, torture, murder, and brainwashing efforts, **because the evil one is loose in the world and the Antichrist is just around the corner.** Many to most of us are going to face persecution and death for daring to believe on the Name of Jesus...
2) I'm asking that You prepare the believers on the board to face famine, pestilence, and all kinds of horrible things, because America is under judgement: this Gulf Oil Spill is only getting worse and is now threatening the East Coast and the Atlantic. We are going to see the end of plentiful food and clean water: famine and poisoned water are coming our way, and we need to be prepared with fasting and prayer and reading Scripture, putting to death the deeds of the body...
3) I'm asking that You prevent satan from taking the Word out of people's hearts by continually stirring up constant cares and anxieties and putting them in the hearts of believers.
4) I'm asking You to help believers realize (me included) that YOU ARE THEIR PROVISION, NOT THEIR JOBS OR ANYTHING ELSE.
Free us, LORD, from the tyranny of the "now" and "stamp eternity on our eyeballs," to paraphrase Leonard Ravenhill. I'm asking You to help us all crucify our flesh and make us realize that the time for being a "carnal Christian" is OVER, that we must absolutely seek first YOUR Kingdom everywhere and always...and LORD, teach this to me FIRST so that I do not be a hypocrite.
