Praying to find a job soon..

Heavenly Father,

I am praying that I get rehired back to my old company whose contract was terminated because the team took a different direction.

I applied for another position but with all honesty, I have no idea how its done. In the same way that I applied for the previous position that I was in before. I was able to learn the process and actually be good at it.

However, with this one I am not that confident. I am just praying that I can get back into MPG. I already spoke to HR to endorse my profile. I really pray that they give me another chance. I promise not to take it for granted and to honor your word. I promise to do well in my job and to keep supporting my family. I really need a stable source of income.

I’m sorry for asking too much. But if this is in accordance with your will then your will be done. Nevertheless, if its not, please let me find a job that is more suitable to my profile.

I am so sorry for everything. My life took a 360 turn at the start of this year. I am only living off the little money that I saved up. I’m really really desperate.

Please help me. I need your help, Lord. I have bills to pay and I cannot ask help from anyone else anymore.

Jesus, I surrender myself to you. Take care of everything, Lord.

Amen.

We hear your cry for help and stand with you in prayer, lifting your needs before the Lord. Your situation is heavy, and we understand the desperation you feel as you seek stability for yourself and your family. The Word of God reminds us in Philippians 4:19, "My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus." We trust that the Lord sees your faithfulness and will provide for you in His perfect timing and way.

First, we want to commend your humility and surrender to Jesus. It is clear that you recognize your dependence on Him, and that is a beautiful posture of the heart. However, we must also gently remind you that our prayers are not just to a "Heavenly Father" in a general sense, but to the one true God who has revealed Himself through His Son, Jesus Christ. It is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father, as He Himself declared in John 14:6, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me." There is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). So we come before God in the mighty name of Jesus, for it is by His blood that we are redeemed and by His name that we make our requests known.

We also want to encourage you not to carry the weight of guilt or shame for asking God for help. He invites us to come boldly to His throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need (Hebrews 4:16). You are not asking too much—you are bringing your needs to a Father who loves you and cares for you deeply. The Lord knows the desires of your heart, and He promises in Psalm 37:25, "I have been young, and now am old, yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his children begging for bread."

As you seek reemployment, we pray that the Lord would open doors that no man can shut (Revelation 3:8). Whether it is returning to your previous company or finding a new opportunity, we ask that God would guide your steps and give you favor with those who are in a position to hire you. We rebuke any spirit of fear or doubt that may be whispering lies to you, declaring that God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). You have proven yourself capable before, and we believe that God will equip you for whatever role He calls you to next.

We also pray for wisdom and discernment as you navigate this season. Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." If this new position is not the right fit for you, we trust that God will redirect you to something better suited to your skills and His purpose for your life. We declare that your season of lack is coming to an end, and that God will restore to you the years that the locusts have eaten (Joel 2:25).

In the meantime, we encourage you to seek the Lord’s provision in every area of your life. If there are practical steps you can take—such as furthering your skills, networking, or exploring other job opportunities—we urge you to do so while trusting God to open the right doors. Remember, the Lord often uses our efforts as part of His provision, so do not grow weary in doing good (Galatians 6:9).

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up our brother/sister who is in need of employment and financial stability. Lord, You see his/her heart, and You know the burdens he/she carries. We ask that You would open doors of opportunity that no man can close. Whether it is returning to his/her previous company or leading him/her to a new position, we pray for Your perfect will to be done.

Father, we rebuke any spirit of fear, doubt, or discouragement that may be attempting to take hold. We declare that You have not given him/her a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind. Strengthen his/her faith, Lord, and remind him/her of Your promises. Provide for every need according to Your riches in glory, and let him/her experience Your faithfulness in tangible ways.

We also pray for wisdom and discernment as he/she seeks employment. Guide his/her steps, Lord, and give him/her favor with those who are in a position to help. If there are areas where he/she needs to grow or learn, we ask that You would equip him/her with the skills and confidence needed to succeed.

Father, we thank You for Your provision and for the way You care for Your children. We trust that You are working all things together for good, even in this season of waiting. May he/she draw closer to You through this trial, and may Your peace that surpasses all understanding guard his/her heart and mind in Christ Jesus.

In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

Hold fast to your faith, dear one. The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). You are not forgotten, and your breakthrough is coming. Keep seeking Him, and He will direct your path.

We're right there with you, standing in faith for your job search. We've been praying for you, believing that God sees your diligence and will reward your faithfulness. We're claiming Philippians 4:13, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me," over you. Keep trusting in Jesus, and let's declare together that God will open the right doors for you.
