We join with you in prayer before our Mighty God, Yahweh, and we thank you for coming in the name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and it is by His blood that we have redemption and hope. We hear the burden of debt in your request and the desire for it to be cleared today, and the longing for the one who owes to have faith and patience as they wait on the Lord.

Scripture teaches us that God cares deeply about how we handle what He has entrusted to us and about our integrity with what we owe. The wicked borrow, and don’t pay back, but the righteous give generously Psalm 37:21. We are also taught to owe no one anything, except to love one another Romans 13:8, and that the plans of the diligent surely lead to profit Proverbs 21:5. The Lord does not call us to demand a miracle on our timetable, but to trust His provision and timing while we walk in faithfulness, diligence, and honesty. We know that our God will supply every need of ours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:19, and when we seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness, all these things will be given to us as well Matthew 6:33. The blood of Jesus was shed for the forgiveness of our sins and to reconcile us to God, and we rejoice that you have invoked that precious blood in faith, trusting not in a formula but in the person and finished work of Christ.

We also want to encourage you to continue in believing and waiting, as you prayed, for waiting on the Lord is an act of faith. God often provides through wisdom, hard work, counsel, and stewardship, and sometimes through the generosity of others or unexpected provision, but always according to His perfect will. If you are the one who owes, we encourage you to communicate honestly with those you owe, to make a faithful plan to repay, and to be diligent in your work as unto the Lord. If you are the one who is owed, we encourage you to extend grace and patience while still upholding what is right and just, trusting God to be your provider and judge.

We pray together now in Jesus name.

Father Yahweh, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son and we lift up this debt and every heart involved to You. Lord, You know the amount, the circumstances, and the needs on both sides. We ask for Your mercy and provision, that You would open doors for honest work and wisdom in stewardship, and that You would give peace to the one who is waiting and strength to the one who owes to act faithfully and responsibly. Help all involved to believe Your promises and to wait patiently for Your timing, not leaning on anxiety or presumption but on Your faithful character. Provide, Lord, according to Your riches in glory, and teach us to be content and faithful whether in abundance or in need. Forgive us where we have been unwise with resources and lead us in paths of righteousness for Your name's sake. We ask that this situation would bring glory to You and growth in faith, and that the testimony would be one of Your faithfulness. We ask all this in the mighty and saving name of Jesus Christ, our hope and our provider. Amen.

We hear how heavy this debt feels and how much you are hoping for relief today. Waiting on money and waiting on another person's patience is a hard place to be, and we are glad you brought it to the Lord so honestly.

We are praying with you for God's provision and for wisdom as you navigate this. We also join you in praying the person you owe would be gracious and willing to wait while you work toward clearing what is owed.

One step that has helped many carrying debt is to get a clear plan in place with someone trustworthy at your side. If you are able, consider talking with a reputable financial counselor or a consumer credit counseling service in your area who can help you look at income, expenses and a realistic repayment plan and, if needed, help communicate that plan to your creditor. Having a plan often brings a little more peace while you make the sacrifices to follow through, and it can also show the other person you are acting in good faith. If you already have a pastor or another wise person you trust, inviting them to pray and keep you accountable can be a steady help too.

Father, we lift this need to You in Jesus name. You know the amount owed and the weight it carries. Please provide for them, give wisdom for each next decision, and soften the heart of the one waiting for payment to be patient. Give peace today and guidance for the days ahead. Amen.

Your prayer concerning the burden of debt has been heard and we have carried it before the throne of grace in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord.

There is a debt greater than any sum of silver or gold, the debt of sin which none of us could pay, not half a farthing in the pound. When we were absolutely bankrupt, then did Jesus Christ step in as our Surety, and by the blood of the Covenant He has procured freedom indeed for all who trust in Him. Justice demanded our freedom and mercy has secured it, and blessed be God, that freedom is freedom indeed. If you know this release in your soul, you may cast every lesser care upon Him who has already made provision in abundance for all your need, though like the starving citizens of Samaria you may not yet see it within reach of the gate.

We have prayed to Jehovah, the Mighty God who hears in the name of His Son, that He would in His wisdom and mercy provide for you in this temporal trial, that He would open ways for honest provision and give you grace to walk uprightly as one bought with a price. We have prayed also for the one to whom the money is owed, that the Lord would grant him patience. You have heard of the patience of Job, and you have need to enter into the patience of Christ. The Scriptures inculcate patience and by meditation and prayer they also produce it in the heart. May the Lord direct both your heart and his into the love of God and into the patience of Christ, that there may be forbearance and quiet waiting upon the Lord's timing.

Be diligent in what your hands find to do, be truthful and faithful in all dealings, and trust not in uncertain riches but in the living God. He who taught His people under the old law to remit the debt at the year of release teaches us still that He delights in mercy, and He will not leave His children without help. Wait upon Him, continue in prayer, and feed upon His promises, for they are meant to work patience, comfort and hope within you.

May the Lord keep you from anxiety, sustain you under the trial, and show you His perfect provision in His own good time. We ask this in the precious blood of Jesus, through whom alone we have access to the Father, and in whom all our debts are fully and forever discharged. Amen.
