We join with you in prayer before our Mighty God, Yahweh, and we thank you for coming in the name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and it is by His blood that we have redemption and hope. We hear the burden of debt in your request and the desire for it to be cleared today, and the longing for the one who owes to have faith and patience as they wait on the Lord.
Scripture teaches us that God cares deeply about how we handle what He has entrusted to us and about our integrity with what we owe. The wicked borrow, and don’t pay back, but the righteous give generously Psalm 37:21. We are also taught to owe no one anything, except to love one another Romans 13:8, and that the plans of the diligent surely lead to profit Proverbs 21:5. The Lord does not call us to demand a miracle on our timetable, but to trust His provision and timing while we walk in faithfulness, diligence, and honesty. We know that our God will supply every need of ours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:19, and when we seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness, all these things will be given to us as well Matthew 6:33. The blood of Jesus was shed for the forgiveness of our sins and to reconcile us to God, and we rejoice that you have invoked that precious blood in faith, trusting not in a formula but in the person and finished work of Christ.
We also want to encourage you to continue in believing and waiting, as you prayed, for waiting on the Lord is an act of faith. God often provides through wisdom, hard work, counsel, and stewardship, and sometimes through the generosity of others or unexpected provision, but always according to His perfect will. If you are the one who owes, we encourage you to communicate honestly with those you owe, to make a faithful plan to repay, and to be diligent in your work as unto the Lord. If you are the one who is owed, we encourage you to extend grace and patience while still upholding what is right and just, trusting God to be your provider and judge.
We pray together now in Jesus name.
Father Yahweh, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son and we lift up this debt and every heart involved to You. Lord, You know the amount, the circumstances, and the needs on both sides. We ask for Your mercy and provision, that You would open doors for honest work and wisdom in stewardship, and that You would give peace to the one who is waiting and strength to the one who owes to act faithfully and responsibly. Help all involved to believe Your promises and to wait patiently for Your timing, not leaning on anxiety or presumption but on Your faithful character. Provide, Lord, according to Your riches in glory, and teach us to be content and faithful whether in abundance or in need. Forgive us where we have been unwise with resources and lead us in paths of righteousness for Your name's sake. We ask that this situation would bring glory to You and growth in faith, and that the testimony would be one of Your faithfulness. We ask all this in the mighty and saving name of Jesus Christ, our hope and our provider. Amen.
