Praying that I will soon find a job and for my ### partner

Faithful Servant
Praying that I will soon find a job and for my marriage partner soon as I have not been working for ### months. I do not know what to do besides praying and the government kept abusing and neglecting locals while favoring ### until the land almost became their land of ###.

We come before the Lord with you in this time of need, lifting up your heart’s cry for provision and a godly spouse, while also seeking His justice and wisdom in the face of the struggles you’ve described. First, we must address something vital: you did not invoke the name of Jesus in your request, and it is only through Him that we have access to the Father. As Scripture declares, *"There is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus"* (1 Timothy 2:5, WEB). And again, *"There is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* (Acts 4:12, WEB). If you have not yet surrendered your life to Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so now, for without Him, our prayers are empty and our hopes are vain. Repent of your sins, believe in His death and resurrection for your salvation, and you will be saved (Romans 10:9-10, WEB). Only then can you stand firmly in His promises, including His provision and His perfect will for your life.

Now, let us turn to your request for employment. The Lord knows your need, and He is faithful to provide. Jesus teaches us in Matthew 6:31-33 (WEB), *"Therefore don’t be anxious, saying, ‘What will we eat?’ ‘What will we drink?’ or, ‘With what will we be clothed?’ For the Gentiles seek after all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well."* We encourage you to continue seeking the Lord first, trusting that He will open the right door in His perfect timing. Have you been diligent in searching for work, using the skills and opportunities He has already given you? Proverbs 13:4 (WEB) reminds us, *"The soul of the sluggard desires, and has nothing, but the desire of the diligent shall be fully satisfied."* If you have not already, consider reaching out to your local church for support, networking with believers who may know of opportunities, or seeking vocational training if needed. The Lord often works through our obedience and effort, combined with our faith in Him.

As for your desire for a marriage partner, we rejoice that you seek this blessing, for marriage is a holy and beautiful covenant established by God between one man and one woman (Genesis 2:24, WEB). However, we must clarify that the term "partner" is often used in ways that do not align with biblical marriage, so we will pray for a *godly spouse*—a man or woman (depending on your gender) who loves the Lord with all their heart and is committed to His Word. Scripture warns us not to be unequally yoked with unbelievers (2 Corinthians 6:14, WEB), so we urge you to seek a spouse who is a born-again believer in Jesus Christ. Pray for patience and wisdom as you wait, for the Lord’s timing is perfect. Proverbs 18:22 (WEB) says, *"Whoever finds a wife finds a good thing, and obtains favor of Yahweh."* Similarly, a man who finds a godly wife is blessed indeed. But remember, singleness is also a gift from God (1 Corinthians 7:7-8, WEB), and this season can be used to grow closer to Him and serve His kingdom without distraction.

We must also address the bitterness and frustration you’ve expressed toward the government and the injustices you’ve witnessed. While it is right to grieve over corruption and oppression, we are called to respond in a way that honors God. Romans 13:1-2 (WEB) tells us, *"Let every soul be in subjection to the higher authorities, for there is no authority except from God, and those who exist are ordained by God. Therefore he who resists the authority withstands the ordinance of God; and those who withstand will receive judgment to themselves."* This does not mean we remain silent in the face of evil, but we must trust that God is sovereign even over unjust rulers. Instead of harboring anger, we are to pray for those in authority (1 Timothy 2:1-2, WEB) and seek to be salt and light in a broken world (Matthew 5:13-16, WEB). If there are righteous actions you can take—such as advocating for justice, supporting godly leaders, or serving your community—do so with wisdom and love, always pointing others to Christ.

Lastly, we sense a deep weariness in your words, and we want to remind you that the Lord is your strength. Isaiah 40:31 (WEB) promises, *"But those who wait for Yahweh will renew their strength. They will mount up with wings like eagles. They will run, and not be weary. They will walk, and not faint."* Lean on Him, not on your own understanding (Proverbs 3:5-6, WEB). Cast your anxieties upon Him, for He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7, WEB).

Now, let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother/sister who is in need of Your provision, guidance, and peace. Lord, You know the longing of their heart for employment, and we ask that You open the doors that no man can shut (Revelation 3:8, WEB). Provide them with a job that not only meets their financial needs but also allows them to glorify You in their work. Give them favor in the eyes of employers, and grant them wisdom to recognize the opportunities You place before them. Help them to be diligent and faithful, trusting in Your timing.

Father, we also lift up their desire for a godly spouse. You have said it is not good for man to be alone (Genesis 2:18, WEB), and we pray that You would prepare them and their future spouse for a marriage that honors You. Let them be patient and content in this season of waiting, using it to grow in faith and holiness. Surround them with godly counsel and protect them from relationships that would lead them away from You. May their future marriage be a testament to Your love and faithfulness.

Lord, we ask for Your comfort and strength in the face of the injustices they have witnessed. Help them to release any bitterness or anger, trusting that You are just and that You will one day make all things right (Revelation 21:4, WEB). Give them wisdom to know how to respond righteously, whether through prayer, action, or both. Remind them that their ultimate citizenship is in heaven (Philippians 3:20, WEB), and that You are their refuge and strength (Psalm 46:1, WEB).

Finally, Father, we pray that if our brother/sister has not yet surrendered their life to Jesus Christ, that today would be the day of salvation. Open their eyes to see their need for a Savior, and draw them to repentance and faith in Him. Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, that they may walk in Your will and experience the peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7, WEB).

We ask all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
