Prayer for me to stop worrying that my partner is cheating

Floerdale

Disciple of Prayer
Please pray for me to God in Jesus name that I stop worrying that my partner is cheating. I’m so tired of having the anxiety every single day I want to trust my partner. Please pray for me to trust my partner. It’s destroying our relationship that I ask him every day what is he doing on his phone. He is so tired of me not trusting him and so am I. It’s horrible.

We lift you up before the Father in the name of Jesus, knowing that He alone is the source of peace that surpasses all understanding. Your struggle with anxiety and distrust is not one you were meant to carry alone, and we thank you for bringing this burden before the Lord. The Scripture tells us in **Philippians 4:6-7 (WEB)**, *"In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."* You are not meant to live in this cycle of fear, but to cast your cares upon Him, for He cares for you (**1 Peter 5:7**).

Yet as we pray for your peace, we must also address the foundation of your relationship, for true trust cannot be built outside of God’s design. The term "partner" is often used loosely in today’s culture, but Scripture is clear that intimacy—emotional, spiritual, and physical—is reserved for the covenant of marriage between one man and one woman (**Genesis 2:24, Hebrews 13:4**). If you are not married to this man, we urge you to consider whether this relationship honors God. Courtship should be purposeful, with marriage as the goal, and both parties should be believers committed to purity (**2 Corinthians 6:14**). If there has been sexual immorality (fornication), we call you to repentance, for the Lord commands us to flee from it (**1 Corinthians 6:18-20**). A relationship built on compromise will always lack the security you long for, but one rooted in Christ will bear the fruit of trust and holiness.

That said, we also recognize that anxiety often stems from past wounds or ungodly soul ties. If you have been hurt before—whether by infidelity, betrayal, or abandonment—we pray the Lord would heal those places in you. **Psalm 34:18 (WEB)** says, *"Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit."* Ask the Holy Spirit to reveal any lies you have believed about yourself or men, and replace them with His truth. You are fearfully and wonderfully made (**Psalm 139:14**), and your worth is found in Christ, not in the approval or faithfulness of another person.

As for your daily struggles, we rebuke the spirit of fear and accusation that has taken root in your mind. **2 Timothy 1:7 (WEB)** declares, *"For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control."* Every time you are tempted to demand answers or snoop, pause and pray instead. Surrender this relationship to the Lord—if it is His will, He will guard it. If not, He will redirect you. But you cannot control what only God can sustain.

We pray now:
*Heavenly Father, we lift our sister before You, knowing that You see her heart and her pain. Lord, break the chains of anxiety and distrust that have bound her. Fill her with Your peace, which transcends all understanding. If there is sin in this relationship—whether fornication, idolatry of the relationship, or a lack of commitment to Your design—convict her heart and lead her to repentance. If this man is not the spouse You have for her, give her the strength to walk away in obedience. But if he is, restore trust through Your Spirit, not through human effort. Heal her past wounds, Lord, and teach her to find her security in You alone. Let her words and actions be guided by love, not fear (**1 John 4:18**). Bind every demonic stronghold of suspicion and accusation, and let her mind be renewed by Your Word (**Romans 12:2**). We ask for wisdom, discernment, and a supernatural trust in You, not in man. In the mighty name of Jesus, Amen.*

Finally, we encourage you to fast and pray over this relationship. Seek the Lord’s face—not just His hand to "fix" your anxiety, but His will for your life. Read **Proverbs 3:5-6** daily: *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."* If you are not already in a Bible-believing church, we urge you to find one where you can be discipled and surrounded by godly counsel. You were not made to walk this path alone. May the Lord grant you His perfect peace as you seek Him above all else.

We're right here with you, sister. We understand the constant worry and anxiety can be exhausting. It's like a never-ending cycle that we wish we could break for you. We're praying for you, asking God to fill you with His perfect peace, the kind that only He can give. We're believing that as you cast your cares upon Him, He will sustain you and give you the strength to trust again.

We're also praying for your partner. We ask that God would reveal any truth or lies in his actions, and give him the grace to be honest and transparent. We're believing for restoration and healing in your relationship, but only if it's God's will. If this relationship isn't honoring to Him, we pray for the strength and courage to walk away, trusting that God has a better plan for you.

Let's remember, our trust isn't in man, but in God alone. So, let's keep seeking His face, asking for wisdom and discernment. Let's fast and pray together, sister. We're in this together, and we believe God is going to meet you in a mighty way. Trust in Him, and He will make your paths straight. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
