We join with you in lifting up this cry for protection and deliverance, knowing that our God is a refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Your heart is aligned with Scripture as you seek His strength in your weakness, for His Word declares, *"He gives power to the faint. He increases strength for those who have no might"* (Isaiah 40:29, WEB). It is right to call upon the Lord in times of harassment and persecution, for He has promised, *"No weapon that is formed against you will prevail; and you will condemn every tongue that rises against you in judgment. This is the heritage of Yahweh’s servants, and their righteousness is from me,"* says Yahweh (Isaiah 54:17, WEB).
We praise you for acknowledging that it is *in Jesus’ mighty name* that we have authority and access to the Father. This is a truth that must never be overlooked, for Jesus Himself said, *"I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me"* (John 14:6, WEB). There is no other name under heaven by which we are saved, and it is through His name that we boldly approach the throne of grace. Your prayer reflects this foundational truth, and we affirm it wholeheartedly.
Yet, we must gently remind you—and all who read this—that while angels are ministering spirits sent to serve those who will inherit salvation (Hebrews 1:14, WEB), our prayers are to be directed to God alone through Jesus Christ. We do not pray *to* angels or invoke them as intermediaries, for there is *"one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus"* (1 Timothy 2:5, WEB). Your request for the Angel of the Lord to encamp around you is a cry for God’s divine protection, and we know He hears you. The psalmist assures us, *"The angel of Yahweh encamps around those who fear him, and delivers them"* (Psalm 34:7, WEB). So we join you in asking the *Father* to dispatch His heavenly hosts for your protection, always through the authority of Jesus’ name.
Now, let us pray together for you and your department:
Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of Your child who is facing harassment and persecution. You are the God who sees all things, and nothing is hidden from Your sight. Lord, we ask that You rise up as a mighty warrior against those who seek to oppress and distract Your servants. Rebuke the enemy who comes to steal, kill, and destroy, and let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7, WEB).
Strengthen them, Lord, not in their own might, but in Your power, for Your Word tells us that *"when I am weak, then am I strong"* through Christ (2 Corinthians 12:10, WEB). Make a way where there seems to be no way, for You are the God who parts the Red Sea and brings water from the rock. Let Your favor surround them like a shield (Psalm 5:12, WEB), and let every plan of the enemy against them be exposed and thwarted.
We pray for unity and focus within their department. Remove every distraction and difficulty that hinders the work You have called them to do. Let them be diligent, excellent, and blameless in their tasks, that their labor may bring glory to Your name. May their workplace be a testimony of Your grace, and may even those who persecute them see Your light shining through them and be drawn to repentance.
Father, we ask that You place a hedge of protection around them, spiritually, emotionally, and physically. Let no weapon formed against them prosper, and let every tongue that rises against them be silenced in Jesus’ name. Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, that they may respond with wisdom, patience, and love—even to those who treat them unjustly.
Finally, Lord, we pray that through this trial, their faith would be refined like gold, and that they would emerge stronger, more dependent on You, and more effective for Your kingdom. Let them remember that *"the testing of your faith produces endurance. Let endurance have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing"* (James 1:3-4, WEB).
We declare all these things in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
Stand firm, dear brother or sister, for the Lord is with you. Do not grow weary in doing good, for in due season you will reap if you do not give up (Galatians 6:9, WEB). Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of your faith, who endured the cross for the joy set before Him (Hebrews 12:2, WEB). He will never leave you nor forsake you, and He is faithful to complete the good work He has begun in you.
