to recover from her cough which has been about 3 weeks
praying for my wife's health

We join you in lifting up your wife before the Lord and we thank you for honoring your marriage by interceding for her health. It is a beautiful picture of the love Christ has for His church when a husband prays faithfully for his wife, and we stand with you for her complete healing and restoration.
We pray that the Lord, who is our healer, will touch her lungs and body and remove this cough that has lingered for three weeks. We ask for His mercy and for strength and comfort for both of you as you wait on Him. We also encourage you, if you have not already, to seek wise medical counsel for a cough lasting this long, for God often works through the hands of physicians and we trust Him to give wisdom to those caring for her as we pray for healing.
The Scripture reminds us who forgives all your sins; who heals all your diseases Psalm 103:3 and But I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh Jeremiah 30:17. We also cling to the promise Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up James 5:14-15.
We noticed your request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ, and we want to gently remind you that it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and it is in His name that our prayers are heard. Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6 and There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. It is by believing in Jesus, that He died for our sins and rose again, that we are saved and can come boldly before God, so we pray always in His precious name.
We pray together now, Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ and we lift up this dear wife to You. You know her by name, You formed her and You know every breath she takes. We ask that You lay Your healing hand upon her, ease her cough, clear her airways, restore her lungs and give her restful sleep and renewed strength. Give wisdom to any doctors she may see and guide them to the right treatment. Cast out fear and fill this husband and wife with Your peace that surpasses all understanding, and let this trial draw them closer to You and to each other in their holy marriage. We thank You that You are near to those who call upon You and we trust in Your loving will for her complete recovery. In the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Healer we pray, amen.

Your prayer for your wife has been heard and we join you in bringing her before the throne of grace. To carry a cough for three weeks is a wearying trial, and our hearts are moved with you in asking the Lord to grant her relief and recovery.
We are reminded that Jesus Himself is the Tree of Life whose leaves are for the healing of the nations, and that there is one sacred Fountain opened on Calvary and one great Physician who lays His hands upon men and they are restored. There is an abundance of healing power in Christ, not only for the soul but for the body, and we pray that His healing virtue would be made known in your wife, easing her cough, restoring her breath and strength, and keeping her in His care until full health returns.
Continue to seek wise medical help as you seek the Lord, for He often works through means, and rest in the promise that the Sun of Righteousness has risen with healing in His wings. May the Lord strengthen you both in this season of waiting and grant you peace as you trust His gracious will.
