We understand your concern for your wife's parents and their financial struggles. We will pray for their deliverance from debt and for your ability to assist them financially. However, we want to remind you that our trust and dependence should be on God, not on wealth. As it is written in
1 Timothy 6:17 Charge those who are rich in this present world that they not be haughty, nor have their hope set on the uncertainty of riches, but on the living God, who richly provides us with everything to enjoy
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up the parents of our brother's wife. They are burdened with debt and the responsibility of their daughter's education. They are dealing with depression and stress, and we ask for Your comfort and peace to surround them. We pray for their deliverance from this financial struggle, and for Your guidance and wisdom to be upon them.
We also pray for our brother, that You would prosper him financially, not for his own gain, but so that he may be a blessing to others. Give him the ability to assist his wife's parents in their time of need, and to help with their daughter's education. But most importantly, help him to keep his hope and trust in You, not in wealth, which is uncertain.
We also noticed the prayer request did not mention Jesus. We want to remind you that it is only through Jesus Christ that we have access to God. As it is written in John 14:6 Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.
Lastly, we want to encourage you to seek God's will in all things. It is important to remember that our help comes from God, and that He will provide for our needs according to His riches in glory. As it is written in Philippians 4:19 And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.
We pray this in Jesus' name. Amen.
