Praying for my Beloved

One painful reality after another,
My beloved has survived helplessness and disillusionment starting very early on and to the extent that he is almost aimlessly blissful in his pain as it has been showing up as stagnancy.
I have watched him quietly cry behind the tough face he puts on and I've watched him try to rebuild for a while now.
I pray for his well being.
I pray for his betterment.
I pray for his growth.
I pray for his journey.
I pray for his health.
I pray for him with every bit of me even as Im not always able to help him practically.
I pray that he finds his confidence in its humble strength, a safe and a fruitful path, and realistic opportunities and possibilities in real time.
I pray for good that allows him to live, have faith in himself, the Lord, and in life, and to find everything he can for himself.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Prayer Focus: God, Thank You for loving me. Thank You for loving me, Jesus. God, I ask You in Jesus’ name please bless me with everything that I stand in need of and everything You want me to have. God bless me to prosper, walk in excellent health, and never stop growing in the love, grace, wisdom, and knowledge of Christ Jesus. God bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, mind, soul, body, and strength and never fall out of love with You. God, bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, Your righteousness, and to always respect and obey You. Bless me to know You, the way You want me to know You. So that I will trust You with my life and anyway that You move in my life. Bless me to trust You with all my heart, lean not to my own understanding, acknowledge You in all my ways, and allow You to direct my footsteps and actions. Bless me with knowledge, wisdom, and understanding in all You have called me to do.

God heal me in every area of my life. Deliver and cleanse me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God-conscious-solution-focused-heart-mind-spirit-and-attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God, all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, and all those I love and care about. We join with you in lifting up your beloved before the Lord and we are moved by the depth of love and compassion you have shown for him as you have watched him carry so much pain behind a tough exterior. We hear your heart for his well being, his healing, his growth and his future, and we bring him before our Heavenly Father together in Jesus name.

We see that he has endured helplessness and disillusionment from a very early age and that this has left him in a place of stagnancy, even a kind of numbness to his own pain. The Word tells us that Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit Psalm 34:18 and that He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds Psalm 147:3. We take comfort that nothing he has suffered has been unseen by God, and that God is able to rebuild what has been broken, for He gives power to the weak and to him who has no might he increases strength Isaiah 40:29.

We want to gently encourage you about a few things in your prayer. You prayed that he would have faith in himself, in the Lord, and in life. We understand your desire for him to have confidence, but Scripture teaches us not to place our faith in ourselves, for our strength will fail us. Rather we are to trust in the Lord with all our heart, and not lean on our own understanding Proverbs 3:5-6, and to find our strength in Christ, for His grace is sufficient for us, for power is made perfect in weakness 2 Corinthians 12:9 and we can do all things through Christ, who strengthens us Philippians 4:13. True humble strength and confidence will come not from believing in himself alone, but from believing in Jesus Christ and what He has done for him.

You refer to him as your beloved, and we want to speak to that with love and truth. If this is a romantic relationship, we pray that it is being pursued in a way that honors God. We believe that God designed romantic love to lead toward holy marriage between a man and a woman as a lifelong covenant, and that courtship should be with the goal of marriage to a fellow believer in Christ. If you are in a courtship, we encourage you to pursue purity and to abstain from sexual intimacy before marriage, for outside of marriage this is fornication and does not honor the Lord, as the body is a temple of the Holy Spirit and we are called to flee sexual immorality 1 Corinthians 6:18-19. If marriage is not yet your commitment, we pray you will seek God's will clearly whether He intends this relationship to become a Christ centered marriage, for His plans are for peace and to give you hope and a future Jeremiah 29:11.

We also noticed you prayed to the Lord, and we want to lovingly remind you that it is only through Jesus Christ that we have access to God. Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6 and there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. It is by placing our faith in Jesus, His death and resurrection for our sins, that our prayers are heard and our lives are made new. We pray that both you and your beloved would know Jesus personally as Savior and Lord, and that your faith would be rooted fully in Him.

Father in heaven, we lift this dear man to You in the name of Jesus Christ. You know every painful reality he has faced, every early wound, every tear he has cried in secret, and every effort he has made to rebuild. We ask that You touch his heart and heal what has caused this stagnancy and disillusionment. Lift the heaviness from him and renew his mind. Help him to cast all his anxiety on You because You care for him 1 Peter 5:7. Give him a humble and realistic confidence not in himself but in Christ who dwells in him. Lead him to a safe and fruitful path where he can walk in Your will, open doors of realistic opportunity for work, purpose and growth, and provide for his health in body, mind and spirit. Teach him to trust You fully and to know that You work all things together for good for those who love You Romans 8:28. Draw him close to You, make him a man after Your own heart, and if it is Your will, prepare him to be a godly husband and prepare this relationship for a marriage that honors You. We ask that You also strengthen the one who loves him, that she may encourage him with wisdom, boundaries and godly love, and not grow weary in doing good Galatians 6:9. We ask all this in the precious name of Jesus Christ our Lord, amen.

We encourage you to continue to pray for him but also to point him gently to Christ as his true source of hope, to encourage him to seek the Lord in His Word daily, to seek fellowship with mature believers, and if his stagnancy and quiet despair continue, to encourage him to seek wise counsel from a pastor or biblical counselor. Keep trusting the Lord for his journey, for God is faithful to complete the good work He begins Philippians 1:6.

We hear how deeply you care for him, and how heavy it has been to watch someone you love carry pain for so long and try to keep rebuilding behind a tough exterior. It means a lot that you have noticed both his quiet tears and his effort to keep going, and that you continue to hold him in prayer even when you cannot help in practical ways.

What you describe as stagnancy is so understandable after early helplessness and disappointment. Real growth often does not look like steady progress. It tends to happen gradually, almost imperceptibly, with highs and lows over a long time, and seasons that feel stuck do not necessarily mean nothing is happening. Knowing that can make it a little easier to stay patient with him and with the process.

One gentle way to come alongside him is to keep offering steady, low-pressure presence. Listening without needing to fix, noticing and naming small steps forward when he takes them, and letting him share at his own pace can help him feel less alone. If he is open, encouraging connection with a trusted pastor or counselor, and with a doctor for his health alongside prayer, can be a supportive next step.

We are carrying both of you in prayer.

Father, we lift this dear man to You and ask for Your care over his health, his mind and his heart. Give him humble confidence, a safe and fruitful path, and realistic opportunities he can see and take hold of in real time. Draw him closer to You and help him know he is not alone. Give wisdom and strength to the one who loves him and is praying so faithfully. In Jesus' name, amen.

Your tender and watchful prayer for this dear one has been received with sincere sympathy and with thanksgiving for the love that prompts it. To see one so tried, bearing helplessness and disillusionment from early years, hiding tears behind a brave face, and now held in a kind of stagnancy, is a burden that well may press heavily upon a loving heart. The Lord sees what you have seen, and He marks the quiet cry.

Be encouraged that our God is not without purpose in all that befalls us. He is in one mind and who can turn Him, what His soul desireth that He doeth. Not one of these sorrows cometh by chance, nor out of order, but all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to His purpose. His purpose is not changed by our pain, and it is sure to be effected, for He who has begun a good work will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ. This is our confidence for the present and the future, that our help is in the name of Jehovah, the Creator of heaven and earth.

You pray for his well being, his growth, his health, and his journey, and for confidence in its humble strength. This is right to bring before the throne, yet let us remember where true confidence must rest. Man is but a treacherous quicksand where confidence is shipwrecked, but the Lord is a haven of security. We do well neither to boast in ourselves nor to place our reliance on the promises of our fellow creatures. The humble strength you desire for him will not be found in faith in himself alone, but in knowing whom he has believed, even God in Christ Jesus, who is able to keep that which is committed unto Him. When the heart cleaves to God, when the soul is fixed upon Him, then we have no confidence in the flesh, but rejoice in Christ Jesus.

Therefore let our prayer be chiefly for his soul, that if he does not yet know the Lord, he may be brought to salvation through Jesus Christ alone, for there is no other name under heaven whereby we must be saved. And if he does know Him, that he may be anointed with fresh oil, afresh assured of the Divine favor, strengthened for every step of the path that God ordains.

Let us pray together. O Lord our God, Thou who seest the tears that are shed in secret and knowest the weight of early wounds and long disillusionment, look in mercy upon this man for whom prayer is offered. Thou knowest his helplessness, his striving to rebuild, and his stagnancy of soul. Grant him, we beseech Thee, life indeed, health of body and health of soul, and a fruitful path ordered by Thine own wisdom. Deliver him from aimless sorrow and give him purpose in Christ. Teach him to place his confidence not in himself, but in Thy grace and power, that he may walk humbly and yet boldly before Thee. Work in him that which is well pleasing in Thy sight, and carry on Thy good work within him according to Thine unchanging purpose. And grant to the one who loves him and intercedes for him, grace to trust Thee fully, to walk in holiness and wisdom, and to commit every relationship and every hope to Thy holy will, that all things may be ordered according to Thy Word, for marriage is Thy holy covenant of one man and one woman for life, and all our ways are to be pure before Thee. Let truth banish error in our hearts, and let Thy Gospel reign over all our affections. Guide them both into that safe and fruitful path which Thou hast ordained, and let Thy glory be seen in the building up of their lives. In the name of Jesus Christ our only hope, Amen.
