Praying for ### for healing and relationship

Anonymous

Beloved of All
My dad has been suffering from chronic back and tail bone pain, he’s a driver so he needs complete healing also healing for his cloudy vision, weak immune system constantly getting canker sores, he’s also heart broken because my brother rarely calls him and his careless wife, after my dad got them green card through a long wait for sponsoring, my brother rarely calls him and checks on him, please pray for this for their relationship.

We come before the Lord with hearts full of compassion for your father’s suffering—both physically and emotionally—and we lift him up in prayer, trusting in the power of our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom all healing and restoration flow. It is only in His name that we can boldly approach the throne of grace, and we are grateful you have brought this request before us, though we must gently remind you that there is no other name by which we are saved, and it is by faith in Jesus alone that we find hope and healing (Acts 4:12, John 14:6). If your father does not yet know Christ as his Savior, we pray this trial will draw him to the foot of the cross, where true peace and eternal healing are found.

First, we pray for your father’s physical afflictions. The pain in his back and tailbone, the cloudiness in his vision, and the weakness of his immune system are not beyond the touch of our Heavenly Father, who is Jehovah-Rapha, the Lord who heals (Exodus 15:26). We claim the promise of Isaiah 53:5 over him: *"But he was pierced for our transgressions. He was crushed for our iniquities. The punishment that brought our peace was on him; and by his wounds we are healed."* We ask for complete restoration of his body, that his pain would cease, his vision would clear, and his immune system would be strengthened by the power of the Holy Spirit. May the Lord grant him the stamina and health he needs to continue his work as a driver, providing for his family with joy and without hindrance.

We also lift up the deep emotional wound in your father’s heart—the betrayal and neglect he feels from your brother and his daughter-in-law. This is a grievous sin, for Scripture commands us to *"Honor your father and your mother,"* that it may go well with us (Ephesians 6:2-3). Ingratitude and abandonment are not only painful but are an affront to God’s design for family, which calls for love, loyalty, and mutual care (1 Timothy 5:8). We rebuke the spirit of ungratefulness and hardness of heart in your brother and his wife, and we pray that the Lord would convict them deeply of their sin. May they repent and turn back to honoring your father as they ought, lest they bring judgment upon themselves for their disobedience (Proverbs 30:17). We ask that the Lord would soften their hearts, remind them of the sacrifice your father made to secure their future, and compel them to reach out to him with love, respect, and regular communication.

At the same time, we pray for your father’s heart to be guarded and filled with the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). May he release any bitterness or resentment, trusting that the Lord sees his suffering and will vindicate him in His perfect timing (Romans 12:19). Let him find comfort in Psalm 27:10: *"When my father and my mother forsake me, then Yahweh will take me up."* Though man may fail him, the Lord will never leave him nor forsake him (Deuteronomy 31:6).

Finally, we encourage you to be a source of comfort and support to your father during this time. Call him often, remind him of his worth in Christ, and point him to the hope we have in Jesus. If he is not yet saved, share the Gospel with him—that though this world brings pain, our eternal hope is secured through faith in Christ’s sacrifice on the cross (Romans 10:9-10). And if you have not yet done so, we urge you to place your own faith in Jesus, for without Him, we have no access to the Father (John 14:6).

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up this father who is suffering in body and spirit. Lord, You are the Great Physician, and we ask that You would touch his back, his tailbone, his eyes, and his immune system. Restore him completely, Lord, that he may serve You and his family with strength and joy. Let no weapon formed against his health prosper, for You are his shield and his healer (Isaiah 54:17).

We also bring before You the pain of his heart—the betrayal and neglect he feels from his son and daughter-in-law. Father, convict them of their sin and turn their hearts back to him in repentance. Let them honor him as Your Word commands, and may their relationship be restored in love and gratitude. Break the chains of pride and selfishness in their lives, Lord, and replace them with humility and a spirit of thankfulness.

Comfort this father, Lord, and remind him that You see his tears and his sacrifices. Fill him with Your peace and let him know that his worth is found in You alone. If he does not yet know You, Lord, draw him to Yourself through this trial. Open his eyes to the truth of the Gospel, that though man may fail him, You never will.

We also pray for the one who submitted this request—that they would be a light to their father, pointing him to Christ in all things. Strengthen them to walk in faith and obedience, and may this family be united not only in love for one another but in love for You.

We ask all these things in the precious name of Jesus, our Savior and Redeemer. Amen.

We're here with you, standing in the gap for your dad. We're lifting him up before our Heavenly Father, asking for complete healing - from the pain in his back and tailbone, to the cloudiness in his vision, to the weakness in his immune system. We claim the promise of Psalm 103:3 over him, "who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases." We're believing for a miracle, that he would be completely restored, strong, and pain-free.

We're also interceding for his heart, for the hurt he feels from his son's and daughter-in-law's neglect. We're asking God to soften their hearts, to remind them of your dad's love and sacrifice, and to compel them to reach out to him with love and regular communication. We're claiming 2 Corinthians 5:19, "God was in Christ, reconciling the world to himself, no longer counting people's sins against them. And he gave us this wonderful message of reconciliation."

We're praying for your dad's heart to be filled with God's peace, that he would release any bitterness or resentment, and trust that God sees his suffering and will vindicate him in His perfect timing. We're reminding him of Psalm 147:3, "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds."

And we're encouraging you to be a source of comfort and support to your dad. Call him often, remind him of his worth in Christ, and point him to the hope we have in Jesus. If he's not yet saved, share the Gospel with him - that though this world brings pain, our eternal hope is secured through faith in Christ's sacrifice on the cross.
