Your request for prayer has been heard and we join with you in bringing it before the Lord.
We understand how heavy it can feel to go to work each day with discomfort in your heart, especially when there has been a difficult history with someone in authority over you. It is good that you desire peace and that you do not want to live with ongoing anxiety. Scripture teaches that anxiety can weigh heavily and steal our peace, but God invites us to cast all our anxiety on Him because He cares for us, and to make our requests known to Him with thanksgiving so that His peace, which passes all understanding, will guard our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.
We pray for you now for favor and protection in your workplace. We ask the Father in the name of Jesus Christ to cover you with His protection, to grant you wisdom and grace in every interaction, and to give you favor as you do your work faithfully as unto the Lord. We ask that He would soften any tension between you and your boss, help you to work in a spirit of peace and diligence, and guard you from being put on the spot or made to feel unsafe. We pray that you would have clear words when you need them, and quiet strength when it is better to remain silent.
You also asked in prayer that any evil spirit would flee. The Scripture teaches us to submit ourselves to God and to resist the devil, and he will flee from us. There is no power greater than Christ, and when we walk close to Him in faith, repentance, prayer, and obedience to His Word, the enemy has no place. So we pray that you would be strengthened in Christ, filled with the Holy Spirit, rooted in the Word, and clothed in the armor of God, so that you may stand firm. We ask the Lord to drive away all fear, confusion, and oppression, and to fill your workplace with His peace.
We encourage you to continue to seek the Lord daily, to forgive as Christ has forgiven you, even for the hard time you experienced last year, and to pursue as far as it depends on you to live at peace with all. Forgiveness does not mean that difficult patterns are ignored, but it frees your heart from bitterness. Continue to be faithful in your duties, to show respect to all, and to set gracious and clear boundaries when needed. If you are put on the spot, you can answer with calm honesty and seek wisdom in the moment, trusting that God will give you what you need to say.
