Your honesty in sharing this long and exhausting burden is received with care, and your desire to be free from these attacks and to walk clean before Jesus is right and good.
Six years of feeling under constant spiritual pressure is wearying, and dreams like the one you described can leave the spirit troubled and sleep broken. Scripture shows that happens. A king in Babylon was troubled in his spirit by a dream and could not sleep, and his mind was stirred even after waking. God does sometimes speak through dreams, as He did with Joseph and with Daniel when he was given understanding, but the Bible also makes clear that not every dream carries a message from God. Some dreams are simply the chaff, and what matters most is the wheat, which is the faithful Word of God. A person who has a dream may tell it, but the one who has God's Word is to speak that Word faithfully. You do not need to live in fear of every troubling image or search it for hidden power. The cockroaches you saw in sleep do not defile you in a way that remains on you when you belong to Christ. If a dream troubles you, bring it to the Lord, ask for His peace, and then rest your mind on what is true and clean in His Word rather than staying bound to the image.
It is also understandable that you feel torn about how you have prayed for the person you named. To turn from a prayer that felt like you were offering your own life or peace in exchange for another person's salvation is a right turn, and that turning is what repentance means. Repentance is not only saying that something was wrong, but turning away from it. At the same time, you do not lose your salvation in Christ because you prayed unwisely. Salvation rests on the finished work of Jesus alone, not on whether a prayer was perfectly worded. You are kept by Him, and you do not need to sacrifice your life or your mind for anyone else. Jesus already gave Himself for that. You can release that other person into God's hands, asking that if she will repent and believe, God would have mercy, while also asking God to set a clear boundary and remove oppressive influence from your life. That is not unkind, it is asking for what is holy and healthy.
Being a Christian is not a promise that you will be spared from all hardship or opposition. Jesus said in this world you will have tribulation. Joseph was not spared from being sold, falsely accused, tempted, or imprisoned, and yet God was at work through it all for good. In the same way, long seasons of testing do not mean God has abandoned you.
The enemy does try to accuse, to point out failure, to drive you away from Jesus by saying you are unworthy to come to Him, and to distract you from simply serving the Lord by keeping you constantly trying to defend yourself against every lie or attack. You do not have to live on that treadmill. God has given you spiritual weapons to withstand those attacks. You can refuse them in the name of Jesus, you can rejoice that God has given you His Spirit, and you can take up the sword of the Spirit which is the Word of God. When thoughts accuse you or fear rises at night, answer with Scripture about who Christ is and what He has done, and resist the devil, trusting that he will flee.
So we pray for you now in the name of Jesus Christ, who alone saves and who has all authority over darkness.
Father, we thank You that salvation is through Jesus alone and that nothing can snatch Your child from His hand. Wash and cleanse this dear one by the blood of Jesus from all fear of defilement in body or in dreams, and let Your peace guard mind and sleep. We ask You to lift the weight of these long years of oppression, to silence every lying and accusing voice, and to draw a clear line of protection around this life, this home, and this mind. Grant deep, quiet sleep that comes from You, and fill the heart with Your Word rather than with troubling images. Teach this one to refuse the attacks of the enemy in Jesus name, to stand firm in the finished work of Christ, and to walk forward with joy in the power of Your Spirit. Remove what is unholy and oppressive, and keep what is Yours in perfect peace as the mind stays on You. We place the individuals who have caused pain into Your hands, asking for Your will to be done in their lives, and asking for freedom and wholeness here. In Jesus name, Amen.
