Beloved Servant
God, Thank you for this day. I am sorry, please forgive me and heal me, please help me to do good in your way and in your sight once again, please help me with Jesus, and my children, and all that was stolen from me, help me save my marriage so I can keep my home and all I have made here in my home, help keep me and all of my people safe, please. I go Sunday to church again, and I going to get baptized and saved as soon as they start to baptize again, I am nervous and scared. God, I pray you keep me safe tonight, I need to go pick something up, and I pray I come home safe too. God, I pray for those on here. God, Thank you. God, I pray in the name of Jesus. Amen

We join with you in thanking God for this day and for your tender and repentant heart before Him. We hear your desire to be forgiven, healed, and to walk in a way that is good in His sight, and we praise God that you have come in the name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and it is only by His name that we are saved. As it is written, there is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12 and Jesus said I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6.

We rejoice that you are seeking His forgiveness and healing. The Scripture assures us If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness 1 John 1:9. He is the One who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases Psalm 103:3 and who heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds Psalm 147:3. We also hear your heart to do good in His way and in His sight. God has shown you what is good, to do justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God Micah 6:8 and we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared before that we would walk in them Ephesians 2:10. We pray that He will daily guide your steps as you trust in Him with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding Proverbs 3:5-6.

We lift up your marriage, your children, your home, and all that you feel has been stolen from you. We believe with you that marriage is a sacred covenant ordained by God between a man and a woman for life, and what therefore God has joined together, let no man separate Mark 10:9. We pray for restoration and reconciliation where it honors God, and for His grace to strengthen you and your spouse to love one another as Christ loved the church Ephesians 5:25. For what has been lost or stolen, we cling to His promise I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten Joel 2:25, trusting that He is able to redeem and rebuild what has been broken.

We are so encouraged that you are going to church again on Sunday and that you desire to be baptized. We understand feeling nervous and scared, but remember God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control 2 Timothy 1:7. We want to gently encourage you that salvation comes the moment you place your faith and trust in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, believing in your heart that God raised Him from the dead and confessing Him with your mouth Romans 10:9, for by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God, not of works, that no one would boast Ephesians 2:8-9. Baptism is a beautiful and important step of obedience after you have believed, an outward testimony of the inward change that has already taken place, and we rejoice with you as you take that step soon. Do not be afraid, for He says Fear not, for I am with you. Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness Isaiah 41:10.

We also join you in praying for your safety tonight as you go to pick something up and return home, and for the safety of all your people. We ask the Lord to watch over your going out and your coming in Psalm 121:7-8 and to guard you in all your ways. When anxiety rises, we remember In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:6-7.

We thank you for praying for all of us here as well.

We pray together now, Father, we thank You for this dear one who humbly comes before You in the name of Jesus. We thank You for Your mercy and forgiveness that cleanses from all unrighteousness. Lord, heal this heart, body, and spirit, and lead by Your Holy Spirit to walk in goodness and righteousness before You. We ask for Your hand upon this marriage, that You would bring healing, forgiveness, and restoration according to Your will, and protect this home and family. Watch over the children and all loved ones and keep them safe from harm. Restore, Lord, what the enemy has stolen. Give peace to this nervous and fearful heart as the day of baptism approaches, and let there be full assurance of salvation through faith in Jesus Christ alone. Keep this dear one safe tonight as they go out and as they return, let no harm come near, and let Your angels encamp around them. Draw them ever closer to You through Your Word and through fellowship in the church. We ask all this in the precious and powerful name of Jesus, our Savior and hope. Amen.

Thank you for sharing your heart so honestly with us. We hear how much you want to be forgiven and healed, to do what is right before God, and to care well for your children and your home. Wanting to walk in His way again is a good and humble place to be, and we are thankful with you that you are planning to be in church Sunday.

Feeling nervous and scared about baptism is very understandable. It is a meaningful step, and many people feel both joy and jitters before it. It may help to let your pastor or someone you trust at church know on Sunday that you are nervous, so they can walk you through what to expect and answer any questions ahead of time. You do not have to have everything figured out to come to Jesus just as you are.

We also heard your prayer for safety tonight as you go out and for your family and home. If you can, let a trusted family member or friend know your plans for tonight, when you are leaving and when you expect to be home, so someone is looking out for you.

Father, we thank You for this dear one who is seeking You. We ask for Your forgiveness, healing and peace over them tonight. Keep them safe as they go out and bring them home safely. Calm their heart as they look toward baptism, and guide them as they seek to follow You, care for their children, and trust You with their marriage and home. Lead them step by step and keep them and their loved ones in Your care. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Your prayer comes before the Lord with a humble and honest heart, and He delights to hear such cries. You have asked for forgiveness and healing, and you have done well to ask in the name of Jesus, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved.

Hear this blessed whisper which God Himself has given, There is forgiveness with Him. It is a divine forgiveness, for He says, I, even I, am He that blotteth out thy transgressions. It is a surprising forgiveness, so free and so full that it seems too good to be true, yet it is true. It is a complete forgiveness, as when a creditor forgives the whole debt to one who has nothing to pay, and it is an eternal forgiveness, for the gifts and calling of God are without repentance. You need not wait to feel worthy. If you tremble and shake for fear, and with a penitent heart desire forgiveness, come and lay yourself at the feet of Jesus even now. Him that cometh to Me, He says, I will in no wise cast out. Do as Luther did when he was in dark distress, believe in the forgiveness of sins for yourself, through the blood of Jesus who died, the Just for the unjust, to bring us to God.

You speak of being nervous and scared about being saved and baptized. Be assured that salvation is through faith in Jesus Christ alone, and it is to be received at once. Baptism does not save the soul, but it is the outward and visible sign of the inward grace already received. It is the baptism of believers, the answer of a good conscience toward God through faith in the resurrection of Christ, and the public putting on of the oath of allegiance to Him. Therefore do not put off trusting Christ until the water is ready. Trust Him now, and then follow Him in baptism with joy when the opportunity comes, as one who is already His.

You also ask for healing, for your children, for your marriage and your home, and for safety as you go out and return. First forgiveness, then healing, is the order of the Gospel. The leaves of the tree of life are for the healing of the nations, and even the least thing about Christ has healing virtue to change the heart and quiet the spirit. The Lord honors marriage as a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, and it is right and good to pray that He would preserve and restore it, and keep your home in peace. Bring your children, your home, and all that has been stolen or broken before Him, and ask Him to make whole what you cannot mend yourself.

You say you are anxious about tonight and about going to pick something up. Our Saviour says, do not be anxious about your temporal affairs. Anxiety has never comforted any heart, nor brought any meal to the barrel, and the very worry that comes from a difficulty unfits you to meet it. Be prudent and watchful, but cast your care upon Him, for He careth for you. He who keeps Israel neither slumbers nor sleeps, and He is able to keep you in your going out and your coming in.

Let us pray together.

O gracious Father, we thank Thee that this soul seeks Thee and desires to do good in Thy sight. Grant forgiveness through the blood of Thy Son, and speak peace to a trembling heart. Give faith now to rest in Jesus Christ alone for salvation, and afterward joy in following Him in baptism. Heal what is wounded, provide for these children, preserve this marriage according to Thy holy ordinance, and keep this home. Watch over Thy servant tonight, keep all Thy people safe, and lead this dear one to Thy house on the Lord's day to hear Thy Word. We ask all in the name of Jesus our only hope. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!
