Thank you for sharing your heart so openly and for beginning with thanksgiving. It is good to thank God for each day, for Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit, for children and family, for daily bread, for work, and for His mercy. We join you in giving thanks for these gifts and in praying for the peace of Jerusalem, as you asked, asking the Lord to bring His peace and truth there and in every heart that seeks Him.

We hear your pain about this relationship and the hurt of feeling ignored, and about the rings that belonged to your mother and the other personal property you mentioned. It is right to want what is yours to be returned honestly and to want peace instead of anger. Praying for protection, wisdom, and a cleansed mind and body is a good prayer, and God hears those who come to Him through Jesus Christ alone for forgiveness and renewal.

Scripture teaches that we have received great forgiveness through Christ, and that we are then called to have a gentle and forgiving heart toward others. That does not mean allowing yourself to be used or remaining in confusion. It means releasing anger and hatred to God, seeking to do what is good and holy, and asking Him to renew your mind, body, spirit and soul by His Spirit and His Word. True reconciliation with God comes through repentance and faith in Christ, and that same grace teaches us to walk in the light, to honor Him with our bodies and our homes, and to pursue what is pure and decent.

God designed marriage to be a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, and He calls us to keep living together and sexual intimacy within that covenant. Where we have not walked in that way, the path of healing is to turn to Christ honestly, receive His forgiveness, and then by His help choose a new way that honors Him. This is not to shame you but to point you to the better and more peaceful life He offers.

For this situation, we will pray that God gives you clarity and calm instead of anger, that He heals hurt in your family so you can speak kindly, support one another and not be turned against each other, and that He helps you act wisely about the property. Since going to his home may lead to conflict, it is wiser not to go alone or in a way that could provoke anger. Consider asking a trusted pastor or a mature believer from your church to help you communicate clearly and safely, or to help mediate a simple meeting in a safe public place for the return of what is yours. Keep records, speak truthfully and calmly, and trust God to be your defender.

We also join you in praying for your family and children to know joy, laughter, love and decent, respectful conversation, for healing and peace in your home, for your job to remain busy and productive and for wisdom about your work schedule, and for your bills and daily needs to be provided. We ask God to remove from your life what is not of Him and to fill you with His love, mercy, light and truth, so you can be kind, do good, help others as you are able, and remain careful and safe.

Let us pray together. Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we thank You for Your goodness and for the gift of salvation through Him alone. We ask You to cleanse and renew our sister in mind, body, spirit and soul, to give her wisdom, knowledge, protection and peace, and to teach her to forgive as she has been forgiven while also walking in wisdom and holiness. Provide for her daily needs, bless the work of her hands, bring unity and love to her family and children, grant a just and peaceful resolution regarding what belongs to her, and guard her heart from anger and from any relationship that would draw her away from You. Lead her into what is good and pure, and help her to honor You in all her friendships and decisions. We pray for the peace of Jerusalem and for all who call on Your holy name. In Jesus name, Amen.

Your thankfulness is a beautiful place to start, and God delights to hear that kind of grateful heart. Scripture teaches that through faith in Jesus Christ, God has adopted us into His family. Jesus alone is the only begotten Son, but by grace we are born again by the Spirit and brought in as sons and daughters. That means you can come to God not as a stranger trying to keep rules or perform a ritual, but as a child coming to a Father who loves you and wants a close, living relationship with you. Jesus taught us to pray, Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name, because He wants that intimate trust between you and Him.

That relationship with God is primary. When our relationship with Him is right, our other relationships begin to find their proper balance. When it is not right, we can trace many of our struggles with people back to that deeper need. As you seek Him first, to know how much He loves you and to love Him in return, He will bring wisdom and clarity to the other areas you mentioned.

I hear the pain in what you shared about the man who has your rings and about wanting not to be angry while still caring for him. God understands the ache of wanting love and connection, but He also warns us that we cannot satisfy a spiritual thirst with an emotional experience. The idea that a new person or a romantic feeling will finally bring fulfillment is a lie that has broken many homes and left many hearts more empty than before. Only a vital relationship with Christ can satisfy that deeper thirst. His love constrains us and changes what we want, so that we no longer want what would displease Him, not because we are bound by law, but because we love our Father.

God's design for love and intimacy is within the lifelong covenant of marriage between one man and one woman. Any relationship outside of that design will not bring the peace and security you long for. It is right to want to be kind, faithful, and good as a friend, and it is also right to set clear and godly boundaries. Loving someone does not mean continuing in confusion or allowing yourself to be pulled between others. Ask God to help you seek fulfillment in Him first, and to guide your friendships according to His wisdom and purity.

You also asked about forgiveness and about family members being used against each other instead of standing up for one another. The Bible holds up God's forgiveness as our example. We have been forgiven so much through the death of Jesus, who made provision for our sins, and we are called to forgive as we have been forgiven. That does not mean pretending hurt did not happen, but it does mean releasing bitterness and choosing not to hold on to anger, trusting God to deal justly. Often pride keeps us from taking the first step toward peace, and time only makes reconciliation harder. While there is still opportunity, choose kindness, truth, and gentle words, and ask God to heal those family bonds so you can speak to one another with decency, laughter, and love, defending one another rather than dividing.

You prayed for cleansing and renewal of mind, body, spirit and soul, and for protection and healing. That renewal comes only through Jesus. The law could never make us heirs of God, but Christ has. When we acknowledge our sin to Him, as David did after heavy conviction, we find forgiveness and a new standing as children who can cry, Abba, Father. Bring every burden to Him, ask Him to wash your mind and heart, and to fill you with His Spirit, His light, and His truth. He gives wisdom, knowledge, mercy, and peace that guard us.

Concerning the rings your mother bought and the other personal items, it is understandable to want what belongs to you returned. Seek a peaceful and safe way to resolve it. Do not put yourself in a position where you may be harmed or where anger is provoked. If he will not meet or answer, consider seeking wise and calm help from a trusted family member or appropriate authority rather than going alone to a place where you are not welcome. Pray for wisdom and for God to provide what you need, and trust Him to defend you.

You prayed for daily needs, for a place to live, food and drink, bills to be paid, for work to be busy and productive, for protection and safety, and for the peace of Jerusalem. God cares about all of these things. He knows your needs and invites you to bring them to your Father who sees and provides.

Let us pray together. Father in heaven, thank You for Your love shown through Jesus Christ, through whom we have forgiveness and adoption into Your family. Thank You for this dear one who comes to You with gratitude. Draw her into a deeper loving relationship with You, not a ritual, but a daily walk as Your child. Cleanse her mind and body, renew her spirit and soul, and fill her with Your wisdom, truth, and peace. Heal hurts in her family, teach them to speak with kindness and to stand together in love, and help her to forgive as she has been forgiven while walking in wise boundaries. Satisfy her heart with Your love so she does not seek in people what only You can give. Provide for her daily needs, protect her, guide her in the matter of her belongings, and keep her safe. Grant her productive work and provision, comfort those who mourn, and bring Your peace to Jerusalem as You have promised. We ask this in the name of Jesus, our only hope of salvation. Amen.
