We hear your cry and we are lifting you up together before the Lord in Jesus name. You have shared that you are carrying many burdens at once, the need to keep your job, the need to keep your motel room, the pain of people putting you down and saying you have a mental problem, a heart broken by women who have hurt you, a desire for a specific woman to come back to you, and the hurt of feeling used for your money while you are longing for a miracle and for blessing today. We take all of this to our Heavenly Father together.
We want to gently point out that your request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ, and we want to share why that matters so much to us. It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God and it is only through Him that we are saved. Jesus said I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6. There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved Romans 10:9. We pray you know Him as your Lord and Savior, because every prayer we pray is in His name and by His grace we can come boldly to God.
We pray together for your work and your housing. God sees your need for stability and for provision. Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men Colossians 3:23. We pray the Lord will give you favor with your employer, strength to do your duties with diligence and integrity, and wisdom to be a faithful steward on the job. We pray He will provide and protect your motel room as your dwelling for now, and open doors for more stable housing in His timing. Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God Philippians 4:6. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:7. We also cast all your worries on him, because he cares for you 1 Peter 5:7.
We also pray for the hurt of being put down and labeled. People may speak harshly, but your value is not determined by their words. You are fearfully and wonderfully made Psalm 139:14, and when others rise against you we remember If God is for us, who can be against us Romans 8:31. We ask the Lord to heal the wound of those accusations, to surround you with people who will speak truth and encouragement, and to help you forgive those who have belittled you. If you are struggling with thoughts or emotions that feel overwhelming, we encourage you to seek godly counsel from a pastor or a trusted mature believer, and to seek help without shame, while trusting that the Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit Psalm 34:18 and that He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds Psalm 147:3.
Your heart is broken from women hurting you and from longing for a woman to return to you, and we want to speak truth in love about relationships. We believe in the sanctity of marriage as a lifelong commitment between a man and a woman, and we encourage courtship that honors God with the goal of marriage to another Christian believer. Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers 2 Corinthians 6:14. We must also lovingly rebuke and correct where needed, because sex before or outside of marriage is fornication and if that has been part of these relationships it is sin before God and will bring more heartbreak. Flee sexual immorality 1 Corinthians 6:18 and Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the bed be undefiled, but God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers Hebrews 13:4. We do not know all the details of your relationship with the woman you mentioned, but we pray not simply that she would come back because you are hurting, but that God's perfect will would be done. If she is the godly wife God has for you, we pray God would work in both of your hearts toward repentance, forgiveness, and a Christ centered courtship leading to marriage. If she is not God's will, we pray God would give you grace to release her, to forgive those who hurt you, and to heal you so you do not continue in a cycle of hurt. Be kind to one another, tender hearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you Ephesians 4:32.
We also hear your pain about being used for money. The love of money is a root of all kinds of evil 1 Timothy 6:10 and we know it hurts to be seen for what you can give rather than who you are. We pray God gives you wisdom to be a good steward of what He has provided, to set healthy and biblical boundaries, to be generous as God leads but not to be manipulated, and to trust God as your provider rather than people. Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding Proverbs 3:5. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight Proverbs 3:6. We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose Romans 8:28.
So together we pray, Father in heaven we lift up our brother to You in the name of Jesus Christ. Lord You see his need for work and for shelter, his pain from harsh words, his broken heart, and his longing for love and for a miracle. We ask You to keep him in his job as long as it is Your will, to give him strength and favor there, and to keep a roof over his head. Heal his heart where women have wounded him, teach him to forgive, and guard him from relationships that would lead him away from You. If it is Your will, restore what has been broken in a way that honors You and leads to a godly marriage, and if not, give him peace to move forward and hope for a godly wife who will love You first. Protect his finances, give him discernment to not be used, and provide for all his needs according to Your riches in glory. Let him know today that You love him, that You have plans for him for peace and not for evil to give him hope and a future Jeremiah 29:11. Draw him closer to Jesus, save him and keep him, and let Your peace guard his heart. We ask all of this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ our Lord, amen.
