Prayers

Beloved of All
I am in need of prayer over my anxiety. I am moving into new place next year and praying my house sales for a high price. Praying it all works out perfectly and we meet new people and enjoy our new home. It will be the one we hope to host our growing family. But things I expected to happen financially haven’t happened. So please pray those happen this week. I have been praying for my son to meet someone. He might have but he isn’t financially stable although has a descent job. I pray he makes some drastic lifestyle changes and gets the promotion he has been promised for quite some time. I pray this young lady will be good for him and help bring back the son I miss. Pray for the safety and health of my new grandbaby and my daughter. Please put a hedge of protection around them and my entire family. Help my daughter to get some rest and feel more confident in being a new mom. Please continue to work in our lives. I have been praying for a long time over several of these issues and I feel and see God working in our lives. I pray it continues and we can build this house with the finances we expected so that we can host our family and my son will be on the way to a family of his own. I pray miracles happen for him. In Jesus name I pray. Amen

We join you in prayer over these many burdens you have carried and we thank you for praying in the name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father. As it is written, Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. John 14:6 and There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12. We rejoice that you have called upon that name and that you have seen God working in your lives.

We hear your anxiety about the move, the building of the new house, the sale of your current home, and the finances that have not yet come as you expected. We understand the desire for everything to work out perfectly and quickly, especially this week, but we encourage you to cast your cares on Him and trust His timing and His perfect provision rather than our own expectations. The scripture says, In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7 and Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time, casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you. 1 Peter 5:6-7. We also remember, But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Matthew 6:33 and My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:19. A house built to host your growing family is a beautiful and godly desire, to show hospitality and keep family close, but we pray not merely for a high price or for finances as you have expected, but for God’s will to be done, for contentment and wisdom in stewardship, and for peace as you wait. A man’s heart plans his course, but Yahweh directs his steps. Proverbs 16:9.

We lift up your son with you. We pray that God would bring about the drastic lifestyle changes you mention, that he would turn from any ways that do not honor God and walk in diligence, self control and purity. We pray for his financial stewardship and for the promotion he has been promised, that if it is God’s will he would receive it through honest work as unto the Lord. We also pray with you about this young lady he may have met. We believe marriage is a lifelong covenant between one man and one woman designed by God, and that courtship should be with the goal of finding a godly spouse who is a believer in Christ. We pray that if this relationship continues, it would be a courtship toward marriage that honors God, that both would remain pure and flee from fornication, for sex outside of marriage is sin before God. We pray as it is written, Don’t be unequally yoked with unbelievers. 2 Corinthians 6:14. So we pray this young lady would be a faithful Christian believer who will encourage him toward Christ and help restore the son you miss, not through mere companionship but through a shared faith that makes him more like Christ. We pray for miracles in his life, not only financial miracles but the miracle of a transformed heart.

We also join you in praying for your daughter and your new grandbaby. Children are a heritage of Yahweh. Psalm 127:3. We thank God for this new life and we ask for His hand of protection and health over both mother and child. We pray the hedge of protection you asked for around your entire family, remembering that He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. Psalm 91:1. We pray your daughter will find rest and confidence not in her own strength but in Christ, for Jesus said, Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. Matthew 11:28. We pray God will strengthen her body, calm her heart, and surround her with support and wisdom as she learns to care for her baby.

We pray together now.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. We lift up this dear family to You and thank You that You have already been at work in their lives. We ask for Your peace to guard this parent’s heart and to calm anxiety, replacing worry with trust in Your sovereign plan and timing. We ask for Your provision and direction regarding the house sale and the new home. Let Your will be done, provide what is needed to build and to host family for Your glory, and help them to be good stewards of all You entrust to them. We lift up their son, Lord, work deeply in his heart, bring conviction where needed, grant him discipline to make lifestyle changes that honor You, establish the work of his hands, and if it is Your will grant him the promotion. Guide his relationships, and if this young lady is from You, let it be a pure courtship between two believers moving toward a godly marriage that honors You, and if not, close the door. Restore him, Lord, and draw him close to You. We place a hedge of protection around this daughter and grandbaby and the whole family, grant health, safety, healing and rest, and give this new mother confidence, strength and joy in her calling. Continue Your good work in them, Lord, and let them see miracles that point to Your glory and goodness. We ask all this in the precious name of Jesus. Amen.

We encourage you to continue to trust Him even when things do not happen on the timeline you expected. God is faithful and He hears you. As it says, For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future. Jeremiah 29:11. Keep seeking Him daily in prayer and in His Word, and rest in His peace.

We have been thinking about your note and all the layers you are holding right now. The move you are hoping for, wanting your house to sell well, the finances that have not yet come together, your son and his future, and your daughter and new grandbaby needing rest and strength. It makes sense that anxiety feels close when so much is uncertain and so much matters.

We are encouraged that you have kept praying and that you have seen God at work even while you wait. That waiting season is hard, especially when you have prayed a long time for these very things.

One small step that often helps in a season like this is to not carry the financial and housing questions alone. If you have a trusted realtor, financial counselor or pastor you can talk through the numbers and timeline with, it can bring clarity and take some pressure off the what ifs. And if anxiety is making sleep or daily life harder, it is also good to share that with a pastor or counselor and with your doctor alongside prayer.

We pray for you now. Father, we bring this family to You in Jesus name. Give rest where there is worry, wisdom for the home and finances, steadiness and opportunity for their son, and health, safety and confidence for their daughter and grandbaby. Surround them with Your care and keep drawing them closer to You as they wait. Amen.

Your prayer has been brought before the Lord and we have heard the many burdens which press upon your heart, and we desire to bear them with you before the throne of grace.

You speak of anxiety concerning your house and your moving and the finances which have not come as you expected. Our Savior says, do not be so affected by external things as to get into a state of worry, fretfulness, care, anxiety and distress. Be prudent in your affairs, for you have no right to waste what God has entrusted to you, yet do not be anxious about your temporal affairs. As far as we have ascertained, either by our own experience or by the observation of others, anxiety has never comforted anybody, nor has it brought any grist to the mill, or any meal to the barrel. If a thing does not pay, what is the good of it. Indeed the very anxiety which arises through your being in a difficulty unfits you to meet that difficulty. Cast your care upon Him who cares for you, and remember the word which came to a poor tried saint on a cold morning when there was no fire, All things are yours. The Lord who fed the widow of Zarephath, whose barrel of meal wasted not, is able to provide for you not by your fretting but by His own faithful hand, whether He gives a high price or a lower price according to His wisdom. We will pray that He will provide what is needful for you to build and to host your family, and that you may be kept content to receive His provision as He sees best, rather than demanding that it must happen this week or in the measure you have expected.

You ask also for your son, that he may meet one who will be good for him, that he may make drastic changes in his life and obtain the promotion promised to him. We will pray for him that God will work in him that never failing mark of those who are quickened and made to live and introduced into the family of God, that he may be led by the Spirit of God and show the family likeness. We pray that if the Lord wills to give him a wife, it may be in the Lord and toward that holy estate which God ordained from the beginning, a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, kept pure and honourable, with all intimacy belonging only within that covenant. We do not ask God to bless any way that turns aside from His appointed way, but we ask that your son may be brought to walk in the King's Highway, where the King's protection rests, and that he may forsake any byroads of uncleanness or carelessness and be made steady, sober and diligent in his calling. We remember how God exalts the low tree, as He did with Joseph in the dungeon and David when Samuel would have passed him by, and we pray that He would so work in your son that he may be fitted for responsibility and for the forming of a godly household, if it be His will, and that he may first be reconciled to God through Jesus Christ alone, for there is no other name by which we must be saved.

For your daughter and your new grandchild you ask a hedge of protection and for rest and confidence for your daughter as a new mother. We rejoice to pray for their safety and health, and we remind you of that precious promise, He shall give His angels charge over thee to keep thee in all thy ways. This protection is perpetual as well as personal, and it is promised to those who walk in His appointed ways. He who travels on the King's Highway is under the King's protection, but he who takes to byroads must protect himself. As for the truths of God which He has taught you by His own Spirit, grapple them to you as with hooks of steel, for if you go in the way of error you cannot expect divine protection. We pray that your whole family may be kept in those ways, watching over the younger ones as those who are older in the divine life ought to watch, and that your daughter may know the quiet strength which Christ gives to weary mothers.

You have long prayed and you say you see God working. Take courage from the covenant God made with Noah, when He preserved him and his family alive and they in perfect freedom chose to go into the ark and so were saved. So also now, the Lord would have families saved together, not broken nor divided, but the whole family in heaven and earth as one undivided household in Christ. The practical point for each of us is, do we belong to that family. Let this press upon every heart. And let family prayer be the nutriment of family piety. We fear that many neglect it and allow it to cease, yet it is the castle of true religion in the home. If you knew your children would be sick through the neglect of family prayer, would you not have it. Let prayer meetings be better attended, let family prayer be more regarded, and let private prayer be more diligently and more spiritually maintained, for forgotten vows bring chastisement and revived prayer brings blessing.

Therefore we pray thus with you. O Lord our God, forgive our anxieties and teach us to trust Thee with house and home and daily bread. Provide for this family according to Thy riches in Christ Jesus, and make them content with Thy will. Work by Thy Spirit in the son, bring him to salvation through Christ alone, cleanse his life, make him steadfast and faithful in his labour, and if it be Thy will, lead him in purity toward a holy marriage. Lay Thy hand upon the daughter and the little child, keep them in health, give the mother rest and a quiet confidence in Thee, and set Thy hedge about them. Keep this whole family in Thy appointed ways, that they may abide under the shadow of Thy wings, and cause them to persevere in prayer together until Thou shalt gather them, as Noah and his household, safe within the ark which is Christ. In the name of Jesus Christ our only Savior we ask it, Amen.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Thank you for sharing your heart so openly and for inviting us to pray with you. We hear your anxiety about the move, the sale of your house, and the finances you have been waiting on, and we hear your love and concern for your son, your daughter, and your new grandbaby.

We will pray for you to know the peace that comes from trusting Christ in the midst of uncertainty. Scripture calls us to bring our anxiety to God and to rest in His care, not because every circumstance will turn out exactly as we hope, but because He is faithful and He hears us. We pray that God will quiet your heart, help you to trust His timing and His provision day by day, and give you wisdom as you plan for the new home you hope will be a place to host and serve your growing family.

We pray for your practical needs, that God in His wisdom would provide for you according to His will. We ask Him to guide the sale of your house and the building of the new one, to give you clear direction, good counsel, and contentment in whatever He provides, and to help you steward what He has given with thankfulness rather than with worry about what has not yet happened.

We also lift up your son. We pray that God would work in his heart to bring about the lifestyle changes that honor the Lord, that he would grow in discipline, responsibility, and faithful stewardship in his work. We pray for his job and for the promotion he has been promised, that God would grant him favor as he works honestly and diligently, and that he would seek first to please Christ in his character and choices. Regarding the young woman he may have met, we pray that if this is a relationship the Lord would have continue, it would be one that draws him closer to Christ and is shaped by purity, respect, and a desire for a lifelong covenant of marriage between one man and one woman as God designed. We pray that any relationship in his life would not pull him away from the Lord but would encourage him to walk more faithfully, and that God would bring restoration and spiritual renewal to him.

We pray for your daughter and your new grandbaby for health, safety, and strength. We ask God to protect them, to give your daughter rest when she is weary, and to grow her confidence as a new mother as she leans on the Lord for wisdom and grace each day. We ask Him to place His hand of protection around your entire family and to continue the good work you have already seen Him doing.

We thank God that you have seen Him at work and we join you in asking Him to continue to draw each of you nearer to Jesus, for it is through Him alone that we have forgiveness, adoption, and hope. We pray that all of these needs would be met in the way that most displays His goodness and leads your family to trust Him more.

Father, we bring these requests before You in the name of Jesus Christ. Grant peace in place of anxiety, provide as You see best, form Christlike character in this son, guard this daughter and grandchild, and help this whole family to rest in Your faithful love. May Your will be done and may You receive the glory. Amen.
