Prayers

We lift up this request for safety with heavy hearts, knowing that the world can be a dangerous and uncertain place. But we also know that our God is a refuge and a fortress, a very present help in times of trouble (Psalm 46:1). We come before Him now, seeking His divine protection over all who are in harm's way, whether they are traveling, facing natural disasters, enduring persecution, or simply walking through the challenges of daily life.

Father, we ask that You would surround those in need with Your angels, as it is written, "For He will put His angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways" (Psalm 91:11). Shield them from physical harm, emotional distress, and spiritual attacks. Cover them with Your feathers, and under Your wings may they find refuge (Psalm 91:4). We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and that You will deliver them from the snare of the fowler and from the deadly pestilence (Psalm 91:3).

We also pray for wisdom and discernment for those who are in positions of authority, leaders, law enforcement, military personnel, and first responders. Grant them the ability to act with justice, courage, and compassion as they work to protect others. May Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).

If there are those among us who are living in fear, we rebuke that spirit of fear in the name of Jesus. For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). We encourage anyone struggling with anxiety to cast their cares upon the Lord, for He cares for them (1 Peter 5:7). Trust in Him at all times, pour out your heart before Him, for God is a refuge for us (Psalm 62:8).

For those who may not yet know Jesus as their Lord and Savior, we pray that they would come to understand the safety and security that can only be found in Him. There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me" (John 14:6). If you have not yet surrendered your life to Christ, we urge you to do so today. Confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and you will be saved (Romans 10:9).

Let us now pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of faith, trusting in Your promises of protection and deliverance. We ask that You would watch over every person who is in need of safety, whether they are near or far, known to us or unknown. Surround them with Your presence, Lord, and let them feel Your peace that transcends all understanding.

We pray for those who are in physical danger, that You would intervene and shield them from harm. For those facing spiritual battles, we declare victory in the name of Jesus, for He has already overcome the world (John 16:33). For those who are afraid, we ask that You would replace their fear with Your perfect love, which casts out all fear (1 John 4:18).

Lord, we also lift up those who are responsible for the safety of others. Give them strength, wisdom, and discernment to act in ways that honor You. May Your hand of protection be upon them as they serve and protect.

For anyone who does not yet know You, we pray that today would be the day of salvation. Open their eyes to see their need for a Savior, and draw them to Yourself. May they experience the safety and security that can only be found in a relationship with Jesus Christ.

We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. Amen.

We've been thinking of you since we read your request for safety. Feeling afraid, especially when you don't know what might happen next, is exhausting and lonely. Thank you for letting us pray with you instead of carrying this alone.

Fear can affect every part of us at once, our thoughts, our sleep, our bodies. It makes sense that you would long for steadiness and protection right now. You don't have to figure out every next step tonight.

One gentle step that often helps when fear feels close is to make sure one trusted person nearby knows how you are doing. Could you reach out today to a pastor, family member or friend you trust, let them know you are feeling unsafe and ask them to check in with you regularly. If there is a specific place or situation that feels unsafe, it can help to think ahead with that person about where you could go and who you could call quickly if you need help. If you ever feel in immediate danger, please reach out to your local emergency services or a helpline at findahelpline.com right away. And if the fear stays intense or affects your sleep and daily life, talking with a counselor or medical professional alongside prayer can be a steady support.

Father, we bring our friend to You now. You see where fear has settled and what feels uncertain. Please surround them with Your presence, give them wisdom for each next decision, and place safe, caring people close by. Keep them safe tonight and guide them in Your peace. In Jesus' name, amen.

Your request for safety has been heard and we take it before the Lord with you in prayer.

There is a word which grows plentifully in God's garden, and it is this, Fear not. The Lord Himself speaks it to His people, Fear not, for I am with thee, be not dismayed for I am thy God. I will help thee, saith the Lord. When the heart trembles at the thought of danger, this promise is our refuge. Our safety does not lie in our own watchfulness or strength, for we are blind and halt and lame and have no stronghold but His name, but our safety lies in our Saviour, in God our Saviour who is able to keep you from falling and to present you faultless before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy.

We pray that you may know that perfect peace of which the prophet speaks, Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on Thee, because he trusteth in Thee. This peace is not the false peace of those who have no changes and therefore fear not God, but it is a peace which God the Father gives, which Jesus Christ bought with His blood, and which the Holy Spirit works in the soul. It is peace through the blood which has made a full atonement, and it may be enjoyed even when sorrows surge around and when duties press and when loved ones are far away, for in Jesus keeping we are safe.

Therefore labour to be rid of fear, not by hardening your heart, but by trusting more fully in Christ. Fear dishonours God, for it doubts the arm which piled the heavens. Perfect love casteth out fear, and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, who is the First and the Last, who was dead and is alive for evermore, will cause fear to decline. Always be afraid of not being afraid, and when you feel your danger and fly to the Lord to guard you, then you are safe.

Let us pray for you. O Lord our God, we ask Thee to keep this one who seeks Thy protection. Spread Thy wings over them and let them trust under the shadow thereof. Keep them from falling, keep them from evil, and keep them in that perfect peace which comes from a mind stayed upon Thee. Show them that salvation is through Jesus Christ alone, and that to be at peace with Thee through His blood is the only true safety for soul and body. Help them to serve Thee with holy reverence and to rejoice with trembling, kissing the Son and putting their trust in Him. Let Thy presence go with them, for if Thou art with them they need not fear. Guard their going out and their coming in, and at last present them faultless before Thy glory with exceeding joy. We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, who is our peace. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

We have received your request for prayers for safety and we are bringing you before the Lord.

We pray that God will guard you and keep you in His care, granting you physical protection and peace in your daily life. We also pray that He will give you the deeper safety that comes only from remaining with Christ. As Scripture teaches, the one who stays with Him and does not separate himself from Him is truly in safety and security, under His nurturing and Lordship.

True safety is not found in simply speaking of peace and safety while living without regard for God, but in walking with Him in faith and righteousness. We pray that you will entrust all your ways to His providence, which can turn even what is meant for harm into good, as He did for Joseph, and that you will find confidence not in uncertain circumstances but in diligent trust and obedience to Him.

We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ alone, through whom alone we have salvation and access to the Father, praying that you will know His presence, His protection, and His power to keep you now and always. May the Lord watch over your going out and your coming in, and keep you in His perfect peace as you trust in Him.

Your request for prayers for safety is heard, and I am praying with you for the Lord's protection over you.

I want to remind you that God Himself is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Because He is your refuge, you do not have to be overcome by fear, even when the world around you feels unstable and uncertain, even if everything around you were shaken. The psalm says we will not fear though the earth is moved and the mountains fall into the sea, because the Lord is with us. He knows your situation, He knows your limitations, and He loves you. It is better to put your trust in the Lord than to put your confidence in people or in your own strength.

Scripture makes a distinction that is important for you right now. First, there is peace with God, which only comes through the blood of Jesus Christ who made peace for us on the cross. If you have trusted in Jesus, you have that peace. Then there is the peace of God, that deep inner steadiness that guards your heart and mind. Jesus said, Peace I leave with you, my peace I give to you. The world cannot understand it, because it does not depend on circumstances.

That peace of God is promised to those whose minds are stayed on Him because they trust in Him. The promise is that He will keep in perfect peace the one whose mind is fixed on Him. When your thoughts turn toward Him and you choose to trust Him, even when you do not understand what He is doing, His peace begins to fill your heart. When your mind stays on the problems, there are sleepless nights and turmoil, but when you keep your eyes on Him and commit your way to Him, He keeps you in that complete peace. Rest in the Lord, commit your way to Him, and wait on Him. That kind of trust brings peace.

In the Old Testament God provided cities of refuge placed so that no one was far from safety. If someone was in danger from the avenger, they could run to that city and be safe as long as they remained inside its borders. It is a picture of what Jesus is for us. He is our refuge. In Him you have protection, a fair hearing before God, and deliverance. As long as you abide in Him, you are safe in His care. He has not promised that there will never be trouble, but He has promised that He Himself will be your shelter and that He will never leave you.

So I pray for you now that you would know both safety and peace. May the Lord be your refuge and your strength today. May He guard you from harm and deliver you from fear. May He help you to keep your mind stayed on Him and to trust Him fully, whether things are easy or hard, and may His peace which passes all understanding guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus. May you experience not only peace with God through Jesus, but the daily peace of God filling your life as you trust Him moment by moment.

Put your trust in the Lord, for in the Lord is everlasting strength, and He will take care of you.
