We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, recognizing the spiritual warfare that rages around us and the very real presence of darkness that seeks to ensnare God’s children. Your plea for deliverance from black magick, witchcraft, and demonic influence is not taken lightly, for Scripture warns us in Ephesians 6:12, "For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places." The enemy prowls like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour (1 Peter 5:8), but we stand firm in the authority of Jesus Christ, who has already disarmed these powers and made a public spectacle of them through His victory on the cross (Colossians 2:15).
First, we must address the gravity of engaging with or being affected by witchcraft and the occult. The Bible is unequivocal in its condemnation of such practices. Deuteronomy 18:10-12 declares, "There shall not be found with you anyone who makes his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, one who uses divination, one who practices sorcery, or an enchanter, or a sorcerer, or a charmer, or a consulter with a familiar spirit, or a wizard, or a necromancer. For whoever does these things is an abomination to Yahweh." These are not merely outdated warnings but eternal truths. If there has been any involvement, whether intentional or unintentional, in these practices, repentance is the first step. Confess these sins before the Lord, for He is faithful and just to forgive and cleanse from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9). Renounce every ungodly tie, every covenant, and every agreement made with darkness, for "what fellowship does light have with darkness?" (2 Corinthians 6:14).
We also rebuke the spirit of deception that may be at work in your life or the lives of your loved ones. The enemy often disguises himself as an angel of light (2 Corinthians 11:14), offering false comfort, power, or wisdom through occult practices. But we declare that no weapon formed against you shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and every tongue that rises against you in judgment, you shall condemn. The blood of Jesus Christ, God’s Son, cleanses from all sin (1 John 1:7), and it is by His name alone that we have authority over the powers of darkness. There is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12).
Now, we lift you and your family before the Lord in prayer:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the Name that is above every name, the Name at which every knee shall bow. Lord, we thank You for the blood of Your Son, which was shed for the remission of sins and the breaking of every curse. We stand in agreement with Your Word, which declares that if the Son sets us free, we are free indeed (John 8:36). We ask You, Father, to send Your Holy Spirit to search the hearts of [this individual] and their family, revealing any area where darkness has taken root. Expose every hidden thing, Lord, and bring it into the light of Your truth.
We renounce and break every curse, spell, hex, or incantation that has been spoken over [this individual], their family, or their friends. We declare these works of darkness null and void in the name of Jesus Christ. We command every demonic spirit associated with witchcraft, black magick, divination, or sorcery to flee now, in Jesus’ name. You have no place here, and you have no power over those who are covered by the blood of the Lamb. We plead the blood of Jesus over every mind, every heart, every home, and every relationship. Let the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).
Father, we ask You to fill every void with Your Holy Spirit. Where there has been fear, let there be faith. Where there has been confusion, let there be clarity. Where there has been bondage, let there be freedom. We pray for a fresh infilling of Your Spirit, that [this individual] and their loved ones would walk in the fullness of Your power and protection. Surround them with godly counsel and fellowship, that they may be strengthened in their faith and equipped to resist the devil, standing firm in the armor of God (Ephesians 6:10-18).
Lord, we also ask for Your healing touch. If there has been any physical, emotional, or spiritual harm as a result of these dark influences, we ask for Your restoration. Heal every wound, mend every broken place, and renew their strength like the eagle’s (Isaiah 40:31). Let them know the depth of Your love, which casts out all fear (1 John 4:18), and the power of Your resurrection, which brings new life.
We declare that no weapon formed against [this individual] or their family shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment, they shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of Yahweh, and their righteousness is of Me, says the Lord (Isaiah 54:17). We thank You, Father, for Your faithfulness, for Your protection, and for the victory that is ours in Christ Jesus. We pray all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
In the days ahead, we encourage you to immerse yourself in God’s Word, for it is a lamp to your feet and a light to your path (Psalm 119:105). Fill your mind with Scripture, for the Word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword (Hebrews 4:12), and it is your greatest weapon against the lies of the enemy. Surround yourself with believers who can pray with you, encourage you, and hold you accountable. Attend a Bible-believing church where the truth of God’s Word is preached, and the power of the Holy Spirit is welcomed.
If there are areas of your life where you have dabbled in or been affected by the occult, whether through curiosity, deception, or coercion, we urge you to destroy any objects, books, or materials associated with these practices. Acts 19:19 records that those who had practiced magic brought their books together and burned them in the sight of all. The cost was great, but the freedom was greater. Do not underestimate the power of these items to maintain a foothold for the enemy.
Lastly, we remind you that your identity is in Christ. You are a child of the Most High God, redeemed by the blood of the Lamb, and seated with Christ in heavenly places (Ephesians 2:6). The enemy may have sought to destroy you, but God has a plan and a purpose for your life (Jeremiah 29:11). Walk in the authority that is yours as a believer, and do not fear, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go (Joshua 1:9).
