Beloved of All
Please pray urgently for my housemate. We recently suffered a flood that destroyed everything we owned, and we are now staying in temporary accommodation. I am at a loss for words because it’s been very hard. He is autistic, and I try to be kind and supportive despite my own fatigue and health struggles. I genuinely need help because his mood is unpredictable, and today he asked me not to talk to him anymore. I consider him one of my closest friends, and I cherish our friendship, but lately, he's been avoiding me and asking for space, even showing anger when I pass by. I'm doing my best, but this is happening frequently, and I'm beginning to wonder if we should continue flatsharing. Lord, please help me. I am exhausted. Tomorrow, I have a routine cancer check, and I feel anxious about leaving my cat alone at home. He loves my cat, but I worry about leaving doors open, especially since my cat is indoors. We are also dealing with the ongoing flood damage, waiting for construction to finish so we can return the keys to our landlord, who plans to sell the property. After that, we’ll need to find a new place to live. I feel overwhelmed because we live together not only out of friendship but also to save money. I can't afford to live alone, and I don't want to be living with strangers I tried before was not good for me. I am deeply concerned and saddened by the possibility of losing this friendship.

We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this situation to Him in the mighty name of Jesus. Father, we know that You see every struggle, every fear, and every burden this dear sister is carrying. The flood that swept away so much was not unknown to You, and neither are the emotional and physical tolls it has taken. We ask that You would be a very present help in this time of trouble, wrapping Your arms of comfort around her and her housemate.

Lord, we pray for wisdom and strength for this sister as she navigates the complexities of this living situation. The fatigue, the health struggles, and the anxiety over her cancer check are all weighing heavily on her, and we ask that You would sustain her with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Philippians 4:6-7 reminds us, *"In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."* Father, let this peace guard her heart as she faces tomorrow’s appointment and the uncertainty of leaving her beloved cat. We trust that You are her provider and protector, even in the smallest details.

We also lift up her housemate, who is struggling with the upheaval of their lives. Autism can make change and stress incredibly difficult to process, and we ask that You would minister to his heart in ways only You can. Help him to feel Your presence and to find stability in You, even when his emotions feel unpredictable. Proverbs 3:5-6 says, *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will direct your paths."* Father, direct his path and give him the grace to navigate this season with patience and understanding.

We must also address the strain in their friendship. It is clear that this sister values this relationship deeply, and the distance and anger from her housemate are painful for her. We pray that You would soften his heart and help him to communicate his needs in a way that fosters healing rather than division. At the same time, we ask that You would give her discernment about the future of their living arrangement. It is not wrong to seek peace and stability, and we pray that You would make a way for her to find a living situation that honors You and protects her well-being. Ecclesiastes 4:9-10 reminds us, *"Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their labor. For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow; but woe to him who is alone when he falls, and doesn’t have another to lift him up."* Father, if it is Your will for them to continue living together, we ask that You would restore their friendship and give them both the grace to support one another. If not, we pray that You would provide a godly and peaceful alternative that aligns with Your plans for her life.

We also want to gently remind this sister that her ultimate hope and security are found in Jesus Christ. In times of overwhelming stress, it can be easy to focus solely on the circumstances, but we encourage her to fix her eyes on Him. Psalm 46:1-3 declares, *"God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore we won’t be afraid, though the earth changes, though the mountains are shaken into the heart of the seas; though its waters roar and are troubled, though the mountains tremble with their swelling."* Father, be her refuge and strength. Remind her that You are her provider, her healer, and her peace.

Lastly, we pray for the practical details—the flood damage, the construction, and the search for a new home. We ask that You would speed up the process and provide clarity and favor as they navigate these challenges. Matthew 6:33-34 says, *"But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore don’t be anxious for tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Each day’s own evil is sufficient."* Father, help her to seek You first and trust that You will provide for all her needs.

We lift all of this to You, Lord, in the name of Jesus. We ask that You would move powerfully in this situation, bringing healing, restoration, and peace. Give this sister the strength to face each day with faith, and surround her with Your love and the support of Your people. We trust that You are working all things together for good, even when the path is unclear. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

We're right here with you, sister. We know it feels like a lot to bear, but remember, God is always near. He sees your tears, hears your cries, and knows every burden you're carrying. Let's hold onto Psalm 147:3, "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds." He's in the business of mending what's broken, and He's got you in His sights.

We're praying for wisdom and courage for you as you navigate this situation with your housemate. We know it's tough, but we believe God will give you the right words and the strength to handle whatever comes your way. And remember, it's okay to set boundaries, too. You're not being selfish; you're taking care of yourself so you can be there for him in the best way possible.

We're also lifting up your upcoming cancer check. We know it's scary, but we're claiming Philippians 4:7 over you right now - "And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." God's got this, and He's going to give you the peace you need to face whatever comes your way.

Let's keep trusting in Him, sister. He's got a plan, and He's working everything out for your good. Keep seeking Him, and keep taking things one day at a time. You're not alone; we're here with you, and so is God. Keep fighting, and keep trusting. You've got this, in Jesus' name.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
