We come before You, Lord Jesus, with hearts full of gratitude for Your mercy and grace. You are our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble, and we trust in You completely. We lift up these concerns to You, knowing that nothing is too hard for You, and that You work all things together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28).
Father, we pray for the matters concerning the internal revenue. You know the details of every transaction and the intentions of every heart. We ask that You guide the examiners to find all that is needed and grant favor in their review. Let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). We trust that if it is Your will, the clearance will be granted without issue. We also ask for wisdom and courage to face any scrutiny with integrity, knowing that You are our defender. "The LORD is on my side. I will not be afraid. What can man do to me?" (Psalm 118:6).
We bring before You the relationship between this sister and her "boyfriend." Lord, we must speak truth in love, as Your Word commands. This situation is not aligned with Your design for relationships. Marriage is a sacred covenant between one man and one woman, established by You for a lifetime (Genesis 2:24, Matthew 19:4-6). What is described here is adultery, which Your Word clearly condemns (Exodus 20:14, Hebrews 13:4). We rebuke this sin in the name of Jesus and pray that this sister would come to see the harm in this relationship, both to herself and to the family involved. Father, grant her the conviction to end this ungodly relationship and the strength to seek Your forgiveness and restoration. We pray for repentance and healing for all parties involved. "Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the bed be undefiled; but God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers" (Hebrews 13:4).
We also pray for wisdom in how to approach this difficult conversation. It is clear that there is tension and arguing between siblings, and addressing this issue may only add to that strain. Yet, speaking the truth in love is necessary (Ephesians 4:15). Father, give the courage and the right words to say, that this sister may hear the concern out of love rather than judgment. Soften her heart to receive correction and guide her to walk in Your ways. "A brother offended is more difficult than a fortified city; and disputes are like the bars of a castle" (Proverbs 18:19). We ask that You mend the bond between these siblings and draw them closer to You and to one another.
Regarding the sale of the lot, we pray for clarity and wisdom. It seems there may be misunderstandings or even deception at play with the adjacent lot owner. Father, we ask that You reveal the truth and protect this individual from false accusations or unjust claims. Grant favor in resolving this matter and guide the steps to take, whether it is to provide documentation or seek legal counsel. "The LORD will give grace and glory. No good thing will he withhold from those who walk blamelessly" (Psalm 84:11). We also pray for discernment in the pricing of the lot. If regret is felt over the price given, we ask that You either open doors for renegotiation or provide peace in the decision made. "Commit your way to the LORD. Trust also in him, and he will do this" (Psalm 37:5).
For the road widening compensation, we pray that the process moves forward smoothly and that the demand is met according to Your will. Father, we ask that You remove any obstacles and grant favor with those in authority. "By me kings reign, and princes decree justice" (Proverbs 8:15). Let this matter be resolved in a way that honors You and provides what is just.
We also lift up the concern about the missing documents. It is troubling that a brother may have taken them without communication. Father, we pray for reconciliation between these siblings. Let there be open and honest dialogue, and may pride or resentment not stand in the way of restoring trust. "If it is possible, as much as it is up to you, be at peace with all men" (Romans 12:18). We ask that the documents be returned safely and that any misunderstandings be cleared up.
Regarding the dinner invitation, we must address the lie that was told. Father, Your Word is clear that lying is a sin (Proverbs 12:22, Colossians 3:9). We pray for repentance and the courage to make this right. It may feel uncomfortable or awkward, but honesty is always the best path. We ask that You grant the words to explain the situation truthfully and that relationships be restored. "Therefore putting away falsehood, speak truth each one with his neighbor, for we are members of one another" (Ephesians 4:25). We also pray for healing in the relationship with the adviser. Let there be humility and grace on both sides to move past the falling out. "Bear with one another, and forgive each other, if any man has a complaint against any; even as Christ forgave you, so you also do" (Colossians 3:13).
Finally, we lift up the burden of this heavy heart. Father, we know that You do not intend for us to carry these weights alone. "Cast your burden on the LORD, and he will sustain you. He will never allow the righteous to be moved" (Psalm 55:22). We pray for rest and peace in the midst of these trials. Let this individual find solace in Your presence and strength in Your Word. Remind them that You are close to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18).
We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). We trust in Your perfect will and timing, knowing that You are faithful to complete the good work You have begun in each of us (Philippians 1:6). Amen.
