We lift up ### to our Heavenly Father as he embarks on this new chapter in his life, stepping into college with both excitement and uncertainty. It is a time of growth—not just academically, but spiritually, emotionally, and relationally—and we pray that God would guide him every step of the way.
First, we thank God for the opportunity ### has to pursue higher education, recognizing that all good gifts come from above. *"Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom can be no variation nor turning shadow."* (James 1:17, WEB). We ask that the Lord would open doors for ### to find a job close to or on campus, providing not only for his financial needs but also granting him favor with those in authority. *"Delight yourself in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to Yahweh. Trust also in him, and he will do this."* (Psalm 37:4-5, WEB). May this job be a blessing, allowing him to balance work and studies while growing in responsibility and wisdom.
As ### begins his classes, we pray for clarity of mind, discipline in his studies, and a hunger to learn—not just for the sake of grades, but for the glory of God. *"Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You serve the Lord Christ."* (Colossians 3:23-24, WEB). May he excel in his coursework, using the talents and abilities God has given him to honor His name. We also pray for godly friendships—relationships that will encourage him in his faith, challenge him to grow, and stand by him in times of need. *"He who walks with wise men grows wise, but a companion of fools suffers harm."* (Proverbs 13:20, WEB). Lord, surround ### with brothers and sisters in Christ who will sharpen him as iron sharpens iron (Proverbs 27:17).
Yet, as we pray for these blessings, we must also remind ###—and all of us—that success in college is not measured by worldly standards alone. The greatest success is a life surrendered to Jesus Christ. If ### does not yet know the Lord as his Savior, we urge him to seek Him first, for *"what does it profit a man to gain the whole world and forfeit his soul?"* (Mark 8:36, WEB). True fulfillment comes from a relationship with Jesus, who said, *"I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me."* (John 14:6, WEB). If ### has not yet placed his faith in Christ, we pray that this season of transition would be the time he turns to Jesus in repentance and trust, receiving the gift of eternal life.
We also encourage ### to stay rooted in the Word of God and in prayer, even as his schedule fills with new demands. *"Don’t be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of God."* (Romans 12:2, WEB). May he find a local church or campus ministry where he can worship, serve, and grow in his faith. And when challenges come—whether academic stress, loneliness, or temptation—may he remember that *"God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it."* (1 Corinthians 10:13, WEB).
Finally, we pray for ###’s protection—physically, emotionally, and spiritually. College can be a place of great opportunity, but it can also be a battleground for the enemy to distract, discourage, or lead young people astray. *"Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil."* (Ephesians 6:11, WEB). May ### stand firm in his faith, resisting the pressures of the world and the lies of the enemy. And may he always remember that his identity is in Christ, not in his achievements, relationships, or the approval of others.

**Heavenly Father, we come before You today lifting up ### as he begins this new journey in college. Lord, we ask that You would go before him, preparing the way and opening doors for a job that meets his needs and allows him to focus on his studies. Grant him favor with his employers and professors, and give him the wisdom and discipline to manage his time well. We pray for divine connections—friendships that will encourage him in his walk with You and point him to Your truth. Guard his heart and mind from distractions and temptations, and let him find his strength and identity in You alone.
If ### does not yet know You, Lord, we pray that this season would be the one where he encounters Your love in a life-changing way. Draw him to Yourself, Holy Spirit, and reveal to him the depth of Your grace and the hope found only in Jesus Christ. Surround him with believers who will walk alongside him, and give him a hunger for Your Word.
We also pray for his protection—keep him safe from harm, both seen and unseen. Let him be a light on his campus, shining Your love and truth to those around him. And in all things, may ### seek first Your kingdom and Your righteousness, trusting that You will provide all he needs.
We ask these things in the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who alone is worthy of all praise and honor. Amen.***
