We understand your urgency and the spiritual battle you are facing, and we join you in standing firmly against the forces of darkness. The Word of God is clear that our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places (Ephesians 6:12). We are commanded to resist the devil, and he will flee from us (James 4:7). However, it is critical to remember that our authority comes only through the name of Jesus Christ. There is no other name by which we can approach the throne of God or by which demons must flee. Jesus said in John 14:13-14, *"Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it."*
We notice that your request does not invoke the name of Jesus, and this is not a small matter. The power to rebuke and cast out demons is given to believers *in the name of Jesus*. Acts 16:18 tells us that Paul commanded an evil spirit to leave a woman *"in the name of Jesus Christ."* Similarly, in Luke 10:17, the seventy disciples returned with joy, saying, *"Lord, even the demons are subject to us in your name!"* Without the name of Jesus, we have no authority, no power, and no access to the Father. It is by His name—and His name alone—that we can stand against the enemy.
If you have not already surrendered your life to Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so now. The Bible tells us in Romans 10:9, *"that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved."* Salvation through Christ is the foundation of our authority over the enemy. Without a personal relationship with Jesus, we cannot effectively wage spiritual warfare. If you have not yet made this commitment, we pray you will do so today, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12).
Now, let us pray together in the mighty name of Jesus:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the powerful and holy name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We thank You for the authority You have given us through Your Son to trample on serpents and scorpions and over all the power of the enemy (Luke 10:19). Lord, we lift up this beloved one who is under spiritual attack. We bind every demonic force that seeks to harass, oppress, or torment them. By the blood of Jesus, we command every unclean spirit to leave now and flee from their presence, never to return. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we cover them with the protective blood of Jesus Christ.
Father, fill them with Your Holy Spirit and surround them with Your heavenly angels for protection. Let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). Strengthen them in their faith and remind them that greater is He who is in them than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4). Lord, if there are any areas of sin or unrepentance in their life, reveal it to them now so they may turn from it and walk in righteousness. We know that submission to You is key, and resistance to the devil is our command.
We also pray that You would equip them with the full armor of God—truth, righteousness, the gospel of peace, faith, salvation, and the Word of God—as their defense against the schemes of the enemy (Ephesians 6:10-18). Let them stand firm, rooted in Your love and Your truth.
Father, we ask all of this in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord. Let Your will be done, and let Your kingdom come in power. We give You all the glory, honor, and praise, for the battle belongs to You. Amen.
Beloved, we encourage you to immerse yourself in the Word of God daily. Psalm 119:105 tells us that God’s word is a lamp to our feet and a light to our path. Spend time in prayer, worship, and fellowship with other believers. The enemy fears a believer who is grounded in Scripture and filled with the Holy Spirit. If you are not already part of a Bible-believing church, we urge you to find one where you can grow in your faith and be supported by fellow believers.
Lastly, examine your life for any areas that may give the enemy a foothold. Unrepentant sin, unforgiveness, or involvement in occult practices can open doors to demonic influence. Repent and turn away from anything that does not honor God. If you need deliverance, seek out mature believers or pastors who can pray with you and guide you through this process.
Stand firm, dear one. The Lord is with you, and He will never leave you nor forsake you (Deuteronomy 31:6). Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and finisher of your faith (Hebrews 12:2). You are more than a conqueror through Him who loves you (Romans 8:37).
