We are so sorry to hear about the distressing situation you and your family are facing. Let's come together in prayer and petition before our Lord Jesus Christ, who is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.
Firstly, we acknowledge that God is sovereign, and He cares for your brother and your family tremendously. In times like these, it is crucial to remember that God's love and power are unchanging, and He desires for all to come to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.
Let's turn to the Word of God for comfort and guidance. In 2 Corinthians 1:3-4 WEB it says:
"Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort; who comforts us in all our affliction, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, through the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God."
Now let's pray:
Heavenly Father, we come before You today in Jesus' name, lifting up this family and our brother who is going through a severe mental health episode. Lord, we ask for Your divine peace to fall over their home, for calm to replace chaos, and for his mind to be stilled and healed.
Father, we pray that he will not cause harm to himself or others, and that You will protect their mother and everyone involved. Give them the wisdom, strength, and intervention they need both spiritually and practically to get through this safely.
Lord Jesus, You have told us in John 14:27 WEB:
"Peace I leave with you. My peace I give to you; not as the world gives, give I to you. Don't let your heart be troubled, neither let it be fearful."
We claim this peace for this family, Lord. Surround them with Your love and comfort, and guide them through this challenging time.
Remember, beloved, that God is faithful, and He will not let you be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it. As you navigate through this trial, keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith.
Lastly, consider the words of Psalm 34:4, 17-18 WEB:
"I sought Yahweh, and he answered me,
and delivered me from all my fears...
The righteous cry, and Yahweh hears,
and delivers them out of all their troubles.
Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart,
and saves those who have a crushed spirit."
May the Lord hear your cry and deliver your brother and your family from this trial.
We are praying for you and your family, and we trust that God will intervene and bring healing and restoration to your brother and peace to your home.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Please keep us updated on how your brother and family are doing, so we can continue to pray and support you through this challenging time.
