Prayers to keep my job at ### let my job accept my absences

Anonymous

Beloved of All
Dear God let my job accept me today as I go in this morning an I want have a gd day at work today let my boss man tell me ### I'm give u another chance yes I love my job .

We join with you this morning as you go into work and we lift up your desire to keep your job and to have favor with your employer. We understand how much you love your job and how heavy it feels to worry that your absences might cause you to lose it, and we bring this burden before the Lord together.

We want to encourage you with what Scripture teaches about our work. God calls us to be diligent and faithful stewards in all He entrusts to us, including our jobs. Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men, Colossians 3:23. We are also taught not to be slothful in business, but fervent in spirit, serving the Lord, Romans 12:11. This means we honor God when we are honest, dependable, and give our best effort, arriving on time and communicating openly with those over us. If any of those absences were due to neglect, lack of planning, or not being fully truthful with your employer, we gently encourage you to take responsibility before God and before your boss, to confess it and commit to a new pattern of faithfulness. God honors a repentant and honest heart, and an employer is far more likely to extend grace when he sees humility and a sincere desire to change. Commit your works to Yahweh, and your plans shall be established, Proverbs 16:3.

We also noticed your prayer was addressed to God, but did not mention the name of Jesus Christ. We want to share lovingly that it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father. Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me, John 14:6. And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved, Acts 4:12. It is because Jesus died for our sins and rose again that we can boldly bring our requests to God. If you have not yet put your trust in Him as Savior and Lord, we encourage you to believe on Him today, confess your sins, and follow Him.

We pray together for you now.

Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ and we lift up this dear one to You. You know the need for this job and the love they have for the work You have provided. We ask that You grant favor with the boss and with the workplace today, that You would soften hearts and open the door for another chance if it is Your will. We pray that You would give peace that surpasses understanding as they bring their anxiety to You, for You tell us in nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus, Philippians 4:6-7. Lord, help them to walk in integrity, to be punctual, diligent, and truthful, working as unto You and not merely to please people. Give wisdom in how to speak with their boss, with humility and honesty, and give strength to be faithful going forward. Provide for their needs according to Your riches and establish the work of their hands. We ask all of this in the mighty name of Jesus, our only hope and mediator, amen.

We encourage you to go in today with a calm and respectful spirit, to thank your boss for his consideration, to be honest about the reasons for your absences without making excuses, and to show by your actions today that you value the opportunity you have been given. God sees your diligence and your heart, and we trust Him to do what is best for you.

We hear how much you care about your work and how heavy it feels to walk in this morning wondering if you will get another chance. Wanting to do well and to be trusted again is a good desire, and we are praying with you for today.

One small step that often helps on a morning like this is to go in a little early, calm and prepared, and speak briefly and honestly with your boss. A simple acknowledgment of the absences without long excuses, and asking what he needs to see from you to rebuild trust can open the door. Ask him to be clear about attendance expectations so you know exactly what a good path forward looks like, and write it down so you can follow through.

Whatever he says today, know we are with you and God is not distant from this worry. Your willingness to show up and try again matters.

Father, we lift up our friend going to work today. Give him peace as he walks in, humility and clarity as he speaks with his boss, and favor in that conversation. Provide for his needs and guide his steps today, and help him rest in Your care whatever the outcome. In Jesus' name, amen.

Your prayer concerning your work has been heard, and we join you in bringing it before the Lord who hears the voice of our supplications. You have asked that your place of employment might show you mercy, that your absences might be accepted, that your employer might say, I will give you another chance, and that this day might be a good day in your labor. We understand the anxiety of such a moment, for to love your work and to fear the loss of it is a trial that presses heavily upon the heart.

Let us first remember where true forgiveness is found. The Scripture says, There is forgiveness with You, that You may be feared. This is a whisper of hope to drive away despair. There is forgiveness with God through Jesus Christ His Son, and it is a divine forgiveness, surprising and complete. If you have trembled under a sense of fault, know that God Himself says, I, even I, am He that blotteth out thy transgressions. The forgiveness of your employer, though you rightly desire it, is not to be compared with the forgiveness of your God, which is to be sought through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ alone, for there is salvation in no other. Whatever your past may have been, there is forgiveness with Him, full and eternal, purchased by the blood of Christ, and it is given freely to every repenting and believing sinner. Seek that first, and you shall have peace whether man forgives or not.

We would also set before you the example of Job, who in great affliction sinned not, nor charged God foolishly. Job regarded this mortal life as an appointed time and a warfare, and he learned patience under trial. Your work is a part of that appointed time which God has allotted to you. Go in this morning, then, not with a spirit of fear alone, but with a quiet trust in Him who appoints your days, and with a resolve to be faithful in all that is committed to your hand. If there has been neglect or unfaithfulness in times past that led to these absences, confess it honestly both to God and, as far as is needful, to those over you, and henceforth labor with diligence as unto the Lord. Let your employer see in you a steadfast and truthful servant, for such conduct adorns the Gospel.

We pray for you now, that the Lord would grant you favor in the eyes of your boss, that He would incline his heart to mercy and to give you another opportunity to prove yourself faithful. We ask that He would give you strength for this day, that your hands may be diligent and your spirit calm, and that whether the answer be as you hope or otherwise, you may not sin by unbelieving or complaining speech, but may rest in the providence of Him who does all things well. May you know this day both the forgiveness of God in Christ and the help of God in your daily calling, and may your work be done to His glory.

We commend you to Him who continues daily to forgive and who sustains His people in every appointed task.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your prayer to keep your work and to enter your workplace today in peace has been heard, and your love for your job is a good thing. God sees the heart and the intention behind what we do, and He rewards not only the outward act but the inward purpose. He is merciful to those who come to Him honestly.

If your absences have caused trouble, bring that matter clearly before God. Tell Him your offenses in particular, as you would tell a physician where the wound is, so that you may receive forgiveness and learn the greatness of His grace. Repentance is the way our sins are washed away, and it is also the way we are made willing to amend our lives. The change for the better is possible, and God gives strength to turn and walk in a new way. Ask Him not only for pardon but for a steadfast and gentle spirit, and for grace to be faithful in the duties entrusted to you.

So pray with a sincere heart for mercy and for diligence going forward. Be truthful with your employer about where you have fallen short, and commit to do your work heartily as for the Lord and not only for men. Do not go in with demands or complaints, but with humility, ready to receive correction and to show that you value the trust you have been given.

Let us pray for you now. Father in heaven, in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son, have mercy on this Your servant. You know the desire to keep this job and to have a good day at work today. Grant favor with the employer and with the boss, and if it is Your will, grant another chance. Give a calm mind, a willing heart, and hands ready to work faithfully. Forgive sins through the blood of Christ, and teach a life of honesty, punctuality, and gratitude, so that work may be done to Your glory and for the good of others. Provide what is needed and lead in the way of righteousness. Amen.
