Humble Prayer Partner
Hello there everyone, I finished my NKJV Bible , very good read , their was two prayers I found in that book , that I wrote down to keep repeating ,

On my own individual research I also discovered st. Joseph prayer as well that claims to be protective towards the things I feel I experience.

I’m feeling real good things about my projects lately ,

my mother as usual had 1 critical thing to say , I personally don’t drive and she was bothering me again about learning ,
my great mother who my mom obsesses with was the same way as me but apparently it’s not okay for me I guess .

Please pray to keep her mind off things .. thanks

In Jesus Christ name AMEN…

We rejoice with you in the completion of your reading through the NKJV Bible, what a blessed accomplishment! The Word of God is indeed living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, and we pray it continues to transform your heart and mind daily. It is good that you have found prayers within Scripture to guide your own prayers, for the Bible tells us, "Pray without ceasing" (1 Thessalonians 5:17 WEB), and the prayers of the righteous are powerful and effective (James 5:16 WEB).

However, we must lovingly and firmly address your mention of the "St. Joseph prayer." The Bible is clear that we are to pray only to God the Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, through the power of the Holy Spirit. There is no biblical basis for praying to saints, angels, or any other created being. Jesus Himself taught us to pray, "Our Father in heaven, may your name be kept holy" (Matthew 6:9 WEB). He is our only mediator before God (1 Timothy 2:5 WEB), and there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12 WEB). To pray to anyone else is to turn away from the sufficiency of Christ and the clear teaching of Scripture. We urge you to discard this practice and direct all your prayers to God alone, trusting in His protection and provision.

We also lift up your relationship with your mother. It is understandable that her words may weigh on you, especially when they feel critical or unfair. The Bible instructs us to honor our parents (Exodus 20:12 WEB), but it also reminds us that our ultimate peace and identity come from Christ, not the opinions of others. We pray that God would grant you wisdom in how to respond to her with grace and patience, even as you seek your own path. It is not wrong to be like your great mother in this way, God has uniquely designed you, and your life’s journey may look different from others’, and that is okay. The Lord says, "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future" (Jeremiah 29:11 WEB).

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We thank You for Your Word, which is a lamp to our feet and a light to our path. We ask that You would continue to draw [] closer to You as he meditates on Your truth. Lord, we renounce any practice of praying to saints or any other being besides You, and we ask that You would cleanse []’s heart from anything that does not align with Your Word. Strengthen his faith in You alone as his Protector, Provider, and Guide.

Father, we lift up his relationship with his mother. We ask that You would soften her heart and help her to speak words of encouragement rather than criticism. Give [] the grace to honor her while also resting in Your approval above all else. Lord, we pray for his projects, that You would bless the work of his hands and bring them to fruition for Your glory. Help him to find his identity and purpose in You, not in the expectations of others.

We also ask that You would guard his mind and heart from discouragement. Fill him with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, and remind him that You are working all things together for his good (Romans 8:28 WEB). May he walk in the confidence of Your love and the calling You have placed on his life.

In Jesus’ precious name we pray, Amen.

We encourage you to continue seeking the Lord in His Word and in prayer, trusting Him to lead you in every area of your life. If your mother’s words continue to weigh on you, consider speaking with her in love, sharing how her words affect you, and asking for her support in your God-given path. Above all, remember that your worth is found in Christ alone, and He delights in you just as you are. Keep pressing forward in faith!

We’re genuinely glad you shared this, and we’re thankful with you for finishing your Bible and for the good feelings stirring around your projects. That kind of quiet momentum deserves room to breathe.

What we notice in your request is the weight of that one critical remark. It can land so heavily, especially when it echoes an old family pattern. You already spotted something important: your great‑mother walked a similar path, yet you’re being nudged onto a different one. That contrast has to sting. It makes sense to want her mind off the subject.

One thing that can help internally is a simple but sturdy boundary, reminding ourselves that her anxiety about your driving belongs to her, not to you. You don’t have to absorb it, argue it, or fix it. You can quietly hold your own course, the way your great‑mother apparently did, and let her discomfort rest where it belongs. That mental line isn’t cold; it actually protects both of you over time, because it frees you to stay patient rather than reactive.

You asked specifically for prayer about keeping her mind off things, and we want to honor that.

Lord, in Jesus’ name we lift up this person and their mother. Steady this son, quiet the sting of criticism and anchor his confidence in the good work you are doing in him. For his mother, we don’t ask for control or force, but for a gentle redirect. Quiet her worries, fill the spaces of her attention with more life‑giving things, and grant peace between them that isn’t dependent on agreement. Guard their bond and protect what you’re growing. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God, all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, and all those I love and care about. God, please forever honor this prayer over each of our lives. God Thank You. Amen, so be it by faith, and by faith, it is so

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Faith is here compared to a shield; it envelops the entire man and protects him from all missiles wherever they may be aimed. You have felt the sting of a critical word, though it came from your own mother’s lips. But uplift the shield of faith, bearing the blood-red emblem of the Cross, and you will see the swords of your enemies shiver upon it. “Peace! Perfect peace!” is the portion of the soul whose mind is stayed on God, trusting in Him. The blood of Jesus whispers peace within, even when earthly voices speak otherwise.

Look not within to find worth or strength, for you say, “I cannot see anything that is good.” Look to Christ! It is Christ that died, this is your shield, your confidence, your quietude. He was in your place, that you might stand in His. Do not let a sense of unworthiness drive you from prayer; that would be to cast away your shield. Instead, pray twice as much, and let your prayer be humble. Imitate Jacob, spread your case before the Lord, but beware of self-conceit, for it tears the chariot wheels from prayer and makes it drag heavily.

Pray for your mother, but do it without resentment. Remember, unanswered prayer is often a chastisement for sin harbored, or because we bring our own fancy instead of God’s promise. Get the promise and then plead it. And though the answer may not come as you expect, the shield of faith will hold, and perfect peace will be yours, even with sorrows surging round. Hold fast your shield; cast it not away. In Jesus’ keeping we are safe, and they also.
