prayers please

We thank you for reaching out and for trusting us to bring your four unspoken requests before the Lord. We do not need to know the details because our Father knows them fully, and we count it a privilege to stand with you in prayer and seek His will together in Jesus name.

We are reminded that God searches the heart and knows every need even when it is not spoken aloud. Psalm 139:1-4 says Yahweh, you have searched me, and you know me. You know my sitting down and my rising up. You perceive my thoughts from afar. You search out my path and my lying down, and are acquainted with all my ways. For there is not a word on my tongue, but behold, Yahweh, you know it altogether. And Romans 8:26 tells us In the same way, the Spirit also helps our weaknesses, for we don’t know how to pray as we ought. But the Spirit himself makes intercession for us with groanings which can’t be uttered. We take comfort that the Holy Spirit is interceding for you right now according to the will of God, and that He will work all things for good for those who love Him and are called according to His purpose.

We also want to gently encourage you about something we noticed, your request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ. We want to share why His name is so essential, because it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and it is only through Him that we are saved. John 14:6 says Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And Acts 4:12 says There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. If you have not already done so, we encourage you to confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, for Romans 10:9 says that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. It is in His name that we can come boldly to the throne of grace, and 1 John 5:14 assures us This is the boldness which we have toward him, that if we ask anything according to his will, he listens to us.

We want to encourage you to continue to bring everything to Him with thanksgiving, trusting that His peace will guard your heart. Philippians 4:6-7 says In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus.

We now join together in prayer for you.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, Your Son. We lift up this dear one to You and we bring these four unspoken requests before Your throne. You know each one intimately, every burden, every hope, every fear and every need. We ask that You would answer each request according to Your perfect will and Your perfect wisdom. Grant provision where there is need, healing where there is hurt, direction where there is confusion, and peace where there is anxiety. Help our friend to trust You more deeply and to feel Your presence and Your love in a tangible way. Draw them closer to Jesus, strengthen their faith, and let them know that You hear and that You care. We ask that Your will be done in each of these situations and that You would be glorified through the answers. We pray all of this in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, amen.

We're thankful you let us know about these four burdens, even while keeping them between you and the Lord. It takes trust to ask others to pray when you can't or don't want to explain everything, and we honor that.

We want you to know you don't have to carry the weight of explaining to be fully prayed for. God already knows each situation by name, what is urgent, what has lingered, and what feels too tender to put into words. And there is real comfort in not walking alone while you wait, knowing others are standing with you before Him.

If it helps in the coming days, you might simply bring each request before God as it comes to mind, even with a few quiet words, and let us continue to carry them with you as well. You don't need perfect words, just honest moments with Him.

Father, we lift up our friend and these four unspoken needs to You. You see what we cannot see and You care deeply for each one. Bring Your peace where there is worry, Your wisdom where decisions weigh heavy, and Your help where there is need. Help our friend to sense Your nearness and to rest in Your care day by day. We trust these matters into Your hands in Jesus' name, amen.

We have heard your request and we count it a privilege to bear these four unspoken burdens with you before the throne of grace.

There is much comfort in knowing that calling upon God in the day of trouble brings honor to Him in the very act. It is a truthful recognition that He is, and that He hears. Prayer in the day of trouble is not mere form or solemn mockery, but honest speech with God, and He has joined to it the blessed assurance, I will deliver you. You have done well to bring what is upon your heart to Him who sees what is unspoken and knows what you need before you ask.

And while you wait for God to answer, remember that God has already spoken. What a mighty power the soul has in prayer when it can go to God and say, Do as You have said. It is written is a sword to flash in the face of the foe. Our hope in prayer is not in the fervency of our words, but in the faithfulness of Him who has promised. Therefore we do not pray beyond the tether of the promise, but we believingly remember that God has promised blessing to those who trust in Christ, and we remind Him that He has promised it. We plead, Remember the Word unto Your servant.

Intercessory prayer is among the sweetest prayers God ever hears, for it is the very character of the prayer of Christ our Great High Priest, who ever lives to make intercession for us. So we take your four requests, though unknown to us, and we place them in His hands who knows them fully.

Let us pray together. O God of our fathers, God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, we come through the blood of Jesus Christ alone, for there is no other name under heaven whereby we must be saved. We thank You that if any soul trusts in Your Son pouring out His life, his sins are gone in a moment, and You cannot cast away the soul that trusts in Christ. We ask that You would search each of these four matters and do according to Your holiness and Your Word. If any part of these requests would lead away from Your way, turn the heart to love what You love and to desire what is holy. If there is sin to be confessed, grant repentance. If there is sorrow, grant comfort. If there is need, grant deliverance. Be exalted, O God, above the heavens, and let Your glory be above all the earth. Give present peace and future hope to this soul, and teach a simple trust that takes You at Your Word, believing that what You have spoken You will perform. We ask that You would be honored both in the asking and in the answer, that the one who calls upon You may afterwards praise You.

We encourage you to continue to trust Him and not to fear, to deal with God as a child deals with a faithful father, taking Him at His Word. He who has spoken in His holiness will not forget His own. May the Lord quicken you in His way and keep you looking unto Jesus, in whose name we pray. Amen.
