Prayers Please

Thank you for trusting us with these four unspoken requests. We will bring them before the Lord and stand with you in prayer, even though you have not shared the details.

God knows each need fully. True prayer begins with Him, and He already understands what weighs on your heart before you put it into words. There are times when a prayer is not even spoken out loud but is lifted silently from the heart, and He hears that as well. You do not need many words or a long prayer for Him to listen. What matters is a sincere, earnest heart that comes to Him in faith.

Scripture teaches that the heartfelt, earnest prayer of a person made right with God has great power and is effective. It is not casual or careless, but prayer that comes from deep need and trust. We see this in the example of Elijah, who prayed earnestly and God answered in a powerful way. In the same way, when we bring your needs to God, we trust that He hears and will act according to His wisdom and love.

Prayer is more than asking for our own needs. It is worship, recognizing who God is in His greatness and glory, and it is also petition, bringing our own needs to Him, and intercession, bringing the needs of others before Him. No prayer is complete without that reaching beyond ourselves to intercede for others, and that is what we want to do for you now. Jesus Himself lives to intercede for us, and we have the privilege of joining in that work through prayer, which is not limited by distance or circumstance.

The most important part of prayer is knowing whom we address. Through Jesus Christ we can come to God as Father, and that relationship opens the way for real and effective prayer. If you belong to Him, you can come with confidence. If you have not yet come to Him for forgiveness, the first prayer He longs to hear is for mercy through Christ, and that restores the relationship that makes all other prayer possible.

The purpose of prayer is not to get our own wishes granted, but to see His will done. So we pray that His kingdom and His will would be accomplished in each of these four matters, and that He would give you guidance, strength, comfort and assurance as you wait on Him. Often while we pray the Spirit brings peace and comfort to the heart, even before we see the answer.

We will agree together for these requests, trusting the promise of Jesus that when two or three agree on earth about anything they ask, it will be done by our Father in heaven. We ask Him to work in each situation for His glory and for your good, to provide what you need, to bring healing and help where needed, and to draw you closer to Him through it all.
