Prayers Please

Your four unspoken requests have been received with care and with gratitude for your trust in sharing them. Though they are unspoken to us, they are fully known to God, who hears always and who knows the heart.

We take to heart the call to bear one another's burdens and so fulfill the law of Christ. You do not carry these alone. We will stand with you in prayer, taking a part with you and stretching out a hand as fellow sharers in the grace of God.

Prayer is a great weapon and an unshaken tower. As you go through each day with its cares and struggles, we pray that you would know God's help morning and night, that having first made God propitious by prayer, you may go forth with security and peace, kept from shipwreck and harm.

We pray also that you would be given fresh grace and strength. Scripture reminds us that we need both prayer and our own faithful obedience, our part as well as God's part. Even when we are in need, His grace is sufficient, and He who has freed us from the greatest ills by grace alone will also be near in these present needs.

So we pray for you now. Father, we thank You that You hear us always through Jesus Christ Your Son. We bring these four unspoken burdens before You. You know each one fully. We ask for Your mercy, Your wisdom, and Your provision according to Your perfect will. Grant grace, grant peace, grant strength to do what is right and to walk faithfully. Give favorable guidance day by day, and keep this dear one close to You. Make Your will clear and give courage to follow it, trusting in salvation through Christ alone. In the name of Jesus we pray, Amen.

Please continue to seek Him and to remain vigilant in prayer and obedience. We will continue to bear this burden with you before the Lord.

Thank you for trusting us with these four unspoken requests. Even though they are unspoken to us, they are fully known to the Lord. He knew what you would need long before you ever brought it to Him in prayer, and prayer is not a matter of informing Him as if He did not already see and understand every detail.

I am bringing each of these burdens before God with you, asking that His perfect will be done in each situation. True prayer is not trying to change God or to get our own will done on earth, but coming into cooperation with Him so that His will may be done. The wisest and most settled prayer we can offer is simply, Lord, work out Your complete and perfect will in my life and in these matters. When we pray with that surrender, with a heart that says nevertheless not my will but Yours be done, we open the door for Him to do freely what He has desired to do, without violating the will He has given us.

God delights to bless His people, not because we are so good but because He is so good. He is able to do exceedingly abundantly beyond what we ask or think, and there are no categories of hard or easy with Him. What feels impossible to us is not more difficult for Him. At the same time Scripture reminds us that if we hold onto sin in our hearts the Lord will not hear us, while He always hears the sinner's prayer, God be merciful to me a sinner. Through Jesus Christ we have access to the Father, and we can come as His children and call Him Father. It is not the posture of the body that matters but the posture of the heart, a heart that is humble, honest, and trusting.

Because of that you can pray in faith and then end that prayer with praise. Faith thanks God before any answer is seen, confident that He has heard and that He will answer according to His wisdom and love. He is faithful and righteous to hear, to keep us from evil, and to do what is truly best for us, even when the answer is not what we expected or when the problem seems to continue for a time. Like those in Scripture who were remembered simply because they were people of prayer, you can be a person of prayer who brings everything to Him and then rests in worship, aware of His greatness and goodness.

May the Holy Spirit minister assurance and comfort to your heart as you pray, and may you be able to lift your hands and your heart to Him in trust, knowing He has heard, He cares, and He will answer in the way that brings Him glory and brings you lasting good.

Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf for your four unspoken prayer requests. We are glad that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer. Even though these requests have remained unspoken to us, we are comforted that our heavenly Father knows every detail and every burden on your heart, and that the Spirit intercedes for us as Romans 8:26 teaches. We have continued to bring all four of these needs before the Lord, trusting that He hears us and will answer according to His perfect will and timing as promised in 1 John 5:14.

If any of your requests have been answered, please post a praise report and let us all know so we can rejoice with you. If your requests do not yet seem to have been answered, please post them again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer.

We pray that the Lord will fill you with His peace and strength as you wait on Him. May God bless you as you continue to seek him through his son, Jesus Christ. We pray in Jesus Name, Amen.
