Prayers Please

We thank you for trusting us with your four unspoken prayer requests and we count it a privilege to bring them before the throne of grace together with you in Jesus' name.

We do not know the details of what weighs on your heart, but our Heavenly Father does. He knows your thoughts before you speak them and He collects every concern you carry. As it is written, Yahweh, you have searched me, and you know me. You know my sitting down and my rising up. You perceive my thoughts from afar Psalm 139:1-2. And even when words fail us, the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. He who searches the hearts knows what is on the Spirit's mind, because he makes intercession for the saints according to God Romans 8:26-27. Jesus also reminded us, your Father knows what things you need before you ask him Matthew 6:8, so we can come with confidence even with unspoken requests.

We did notice your request did not mention the name of Jesus, and we want to lovingly share why that matters so much to us. It is only through Jesus that we have access to God and it is only by His name that we are saved. Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6. There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus 1 Timothy 2:5. To come to God we simply believe that Jesus died for our sins and rose again, we repent and put our trust in Him as Lord, and we call upon His name. If you have not yet done so, we encourage you to place your faith in Jesus today, for whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved Romans 10:13.

We now lift up your four unspoken requests together.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ Your Son. We thank You that You see this dear one, You know each of these four needs intimately, every detail, every fear, every hope. We ask that Your perfect will be done in each situation. We pray that You would answer according to Your wisdom and mercy, not just according to what is asked but according to what is best. We ask for Your peace to guard this heart and mind, for Your provision where there is need, for Your healing where there is hurt, for Your guidance where there is confusion, and for Your strength where there is weakness. We pray that You would be glorified in each answer and that this dear one would feel Your nearness and know that You hear. We pray this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, amen.

We encourage you to continue to bring everything to Him in prayer, spoken and unspoken. In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:6-7. This is the boldness which we have toward him, that, if we ask anything according to his will, he listens to us 1 John 5:14. Trust that He is working for your good, for we know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose Romans 8:28. Keep seeking Him, keep trusting in the name of Jesus, and keep watching for how He will move. We are standing with you in prayer.

Thank you for trusting us with these four requests, even without sharing the details. It takes faith to bring what is unspoken to others and to the Lord, and we don't take that lightly.

We want you to know God hears you fully, even when words are hard to find or too personal to share. He knows each situation, each person involved, and what weighs most heavily on your heart right now. Nothing you carry is hidden from Him, and nothing is too small or too big for His care.

If it helps, you might find it steadying to keep a short private list and bring each one before Him by name in your own quiet time, just as you have here, trusting Him day by day with what you cannot control.

We are standing with you in prayer.

Father, we lift these four unspoken needs to You. You know every detail, every worry and hope behind them. Grant wisdom, peace and provision as You see fit, and draw our friend closer to You through each one. Give comfort where there is burden and clarity where there is uncertainty, and help them sense Your presence and leading. We ask this in Jesus' name, amen.

We have heard your four unspoken requests and we count it a privilege to bear these burdens with you before the throne of grace. It is written, Bear you one another's burdens and so fulfil the law of Christ, and this we do also by much prayer for the other when words are few and the heart keeps its sorrows between itself and God.

We do not know the particulars which you have kept unspoken, but He who hears in secret knows them fully. The Psalmist said, I have declared my ways and You heard me, and the believer who lives near to God finds that God hears him and has communion with him wherever he goes. You may therefore bring each of these four matters and declare them plainly to Him, for worldly men live at a distance from Him, but His children speak with Him and hear His voice in return.

We pray that you will be enabled to trust and not fear. It is a blessed thing when sin burdens us to fly away to Christ and stand in spirit beneath the cross and feel that under that crimson canopy no flash of divine penalty shall ever fall upon us. If you can say, I got it straight from the throne of God by trusting in the blood of Jesus Christ, then you will know that you received it from headquarters and there can be no mistake about it. Do not be always saying, Do I love the Lord or no, Am I His or am I not, but take God at His word, for it is true humility to believe Him when He says He will save you if you trust His Son. Salvation is not by ceremonies and works of the law, for even perfect obedience would only be our duty, but by grace through faith in the great Mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus. We rejoice in hope of the glory of God, having present peace and future perfection in Him.

We pray also that you may rejoice because God has spoken in His holiness. While you wait for God to answer, remember that God has already spoken, and faith finds joy in the very fact that God has spoken. We ask, Will not You, O God, act through Your people so that Your mercy which is great unto the heavens may be seen, and that You may be exalted above the heavens and Your glory above all the earth in the answering of these prayers according to Your wisdom.

Some burdens each man must bear himself, and some the Lord lays upon us that we may learn obedience, but He will bear all your burdens for you if you come unto Him who says, Come unto Me all you that labour and are heavy laden. If any of these unspoken requests concern sin that presses you down, look to the Son of God pouring out His life and trust Him, for then your sins would be gone in a moment. If they concern straits and difficulties, now is the time to exercise faith upon a living God, for your God is not worth having if He cannot help you when you want help. He pleads the cause of His saints, and it is Christ that died, yea rather that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God who also makes intercession for us.

Though you leave these four requests unspoken to us, leave none unspoken to Him. If you think God has forsaken you or delays, do not give up prayer, but like your Lord cry, My God, My God, again and again. The godly in their anguish turn to the hand which smites them, and true sonship makes a double effort to draw near and says with reverence, You are ever God to me and I yield to Your sacred sovereignty. Though clouds may surround you, our God is our light, though storms rage around us, our God is our might.

We will continue to bear you up in prayer, asking the Lord to do as seems good in His sight, to give you light, strength and rest in Christ, and to grant answers that accord with His holy will and for your eternal good through Jesus Christ our Lord.
