Prayers Please

Beloved of All
Please pray that my job interview goes well this week. And please pray for my health & safety. 🙏

We come before the Lord with hearts full of faith, lifting up your job interview this week. Father, we ask that You guide every word spoken, every thought shared, and every decision made. May Your wisdom be evident in the conversation, and may the interviewers see the gifts and talents You have placed within this dear one. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17) and that You will open the doors no man can shut (Revelation 3:8). Lord, grant them peace and confidence, knowing that their steps are ordered by You (Psalm 37:23).

We also bring their health and safety before You. Heavenly Father, we ask for Your healing touch to rest upon their body, mind, and spirit. Protect them from harm, both seen and unseen, and surround them with Your angels for divine protection (Psalm 91:11). Strengthen them in every way, Lord, for You are their refuge and fortress (Psalm 91:2).

We rebuke any fear or anxiety that may try to take hold, for You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). We trust in Your provision and Your perfect timing, knowing that You work all things together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28).

Lord, we pray that this opportunity aligns with Your will for their life. May they seek You above all else, and may their work bring glory to Your name. If this job is not Your best for them, we ask that You close the door gently and open another that leads to Your perfect plan.

In all things, we give You the praise and the glory, for You are faithful to complete the good work You have begun in each of us (Philippians 1:6). We pray all these things in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

We're glad you shared this with us. We're praying specifically for your interview this week, and for your health and safety.

It is a real comfort to know that others are bringing your needs before God, especially when an interview is looming. As the day approaches, try to carve out a few quiet minutes to simply rest in the truth that your value is already settled in Christ; the interview does not define you. That thought can steady the heart when nerves kick in.

We are also asking the Lord to hold you securely in every part of your life, your body, your surroundings, and your whole wellbeing. You are not alone in this.

Please pray with us now:

Father, we lift up this person to you. Be present in that interview room: give clarity of mind, a calm confidence, and honest words. We trust you with the outcome, knowing you see the full picture. And we ask for your care over their health and safety, keep them strong, shield them from harm, and draw them close each day. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

God, all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, and all those I love and care about. God, please forever honor this prayer over each of our lives. God Thank You. Amen, so be it by faith, and by faith, it is so

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

The trial of a job interview and concerns for health and safety are not small things in His sight. He who marks the sparrow’s fall numbers the hairs of your head. Yet remember, the creature’s comfort must not be our chief end. When we approach the throne of grace, let us do so with childlike confidence, even when He seems to frown, knowing that if the case is heard as “Jehovah versus” us, then we must yield the point unreservedly. We are wrong, God must be right. It is never wise to dispute with God over the path He appoints; let a man strive with his fellow, but not with his Maker. Cast this interview and these frail bodies upon Him who orders all things.

Do not allow your heart to be troubled with anxious forebodings that amount to charging God foolishly. Many sin by unbelieving speeches, murmuring inward fears about what might befall them. If your health holds, be not too sure of it; if it falters, be not too despairing. Our longest sorrows have a close, and there is a bottom to the profoundest depths of our misery. Did God uphold Job when all earthly props were removed? Then He can support you. Look to Him for this Divine support, and let your request be made known not with clamorous demands, but with holy worship, even in the midst of your necessity.

I would press upon you the profound lesson found at the turning point of Job’s captivity: it was when he prayed for his friends that the Lord released him from his affliction. Let this trial of a job interview become an occasion for intercession on behalf of others. Pray for the company itself, that it might flourish righteously. Pray for the interviewer, who likely carries unseen burdens, that their soul might prosper. This is no mere transaction of wages, but a field for the exercise of a heart that weeps for the poor in spirit and seeks the good of others. Charity of the heart in our petitions often unlocks the mercies we need ourselves.

As for your health and safety, lay hold of this sure knowledge: He will bring us to death, and to the house appointed for all living. This is not a grim sentence, but the very ground of our peace. When you see from where you came, you will know where you are returning. This bodily feebleness we fear is merely the call of a father and mother to the child of dust. Yet the Christian’s safety is sealed in the grip of the Almighty. Though He slay me, yet will I trust in Him. Go, then, to this interview, and walk these streets, not trusting in the freshness of your own glory or the renewal of a temporal bow, but in Him who alone is the health of our countenance and our God.

Let us be undaunted in all our dangers. There is nothing dreadful to him that fears God, but all that is dreadful is for others. When a man is delivered from his passions and regards all present things as a shadow, from whom shall he suffer anything dreadful? Let us flee to this Rock which cannot be shaken. Even if one were to build for us a city of brass, with lofty walls and abundant provision, we would not live in such safety as Christ gives.

Do not make provision for the flesh to fulfill its lusts, but do take care of the body for health. Use a little wine for the stomach's sake and frequent infirmities, but prune away all excess. Spend your chief industry on the care of spiritual things, and do not be weighed down with desires. The present life is a sleep, and its concerns no better than dreams. He who does anything disgraceful in a dream is rid of both the shame and the punishment when he awakes, but in this life the consequences are lasting.

And in the matter of work, the Apostle urges us. If any man will not work, neither let him eat. He applies this medicine to lead us into diligent employment, yet we must not place our trust in the outcome of such labor. For tell me, was captivity any harm? Was poverty any harm? Did not the Apostles shine all the more in chains and perils? Virtue shines everywhere and is invincible; nothing can put hindrances in its way, neither wealth, nor poverty, nor dominion, nor disease, nor dishonor. Only let the soul be noble, and nought can hinder it from being virtuous. Disease is harder to endure than slavery, yet such affliction did not hinder Lazarus or Job or Timothy. When the worker is in vigor, no outward circumstance can defeat his art. Thus, the virtuous one who is devoted to God manifests his art whether in health or sickness, honor or contempt.

For what reason, then, do you tremble? He is not rich who has large possessions, but he who stands in need of nothing. He is not poor who has nought, but he who desires many things. Despise the world's wealth, think it nought as it is nought; cast out the desire, and you are straightway rich. What profit is it to possess the whole world and yet live in greater despondency than he who has nothing? Their dispositions make men rich and poor, not the abundance or the want of money. The wealthy man in the Gospel, not because he was rich but because he showed no pity, was punished; yet his riches helped him not to avoid hell. Let the healthy man in the church not be confident, for let him that thinks he stands take heed lest he fall, and let not him on the stave despairs, for shall not he that falls arise? Awake, thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light.
