Please, deep prayers for me please. My face feels dry from the inside. I am scared.

We hear your distress, dear one, and we come before the throne of grace together in Jesus’ name, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father. Your fear is real, and we take it seriously, for Scripture tells us, "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus" (Philippians 4:6-7).

First, we must address the foundation of your prayer. If you have not yet placed your faith in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so now. The Bible is clear: "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus" (1 Timothy 2:5). Without Jesus, we have no standing before God, no access to His healing, peace, or presence. If you have not surrendered your life to Him, we pray you would do so today, confessing your sins and believing in His death and resurrection for your salvation (Romans 10:9-10). Only then can you truly experience the fullness of God’s love and power in your life.

Now, regarding your physical concern, this dryness you feel inside your face, we stand with you in faith, believing that God is our Healer. The psalmist declares, "Bless Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits, who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases" (Psalm 103:2-3). We rebuke fear in the name of Jesus, for "God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control" (2 Timothy 1:7). Fear has no place in the life of a believer, for we serve the God who holds all things together (Colossians 1:17).

We also encourage you to seek wise medical counsel, for God often works through the hands of doctors and the wisdom He has given them. Proverbs 15:22 reminds us, "Where there is no counsel, plans fail; but in a multitude of counselors they are established." Do not neglect the practical steps God may be leading you to take while trusting Him for your healing.

Let us pray together now:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, our Savior and Healer. We lift up this dear one to You, asking for Your touch upon their body. Lord, You see their fear and their physical discomfort, and we ask that You would replace that fear with Your perfect peace. We declare that by Your stripes, they are healed (Isaiah 53:5), and we speak life and wholeness over every part of their body, especially this dryness they feel inside their face. We command every cell, every nerve, and every tissue to align with Your perfect design, in Jesus’ name.

Father, we ask that You would guide them to the right medical professionals if that is Your will, and we pray for wisdom for those who may be treating them. Give them discernment to know what steps to take next, and fill them with faith as they wait on You. We rebuke the spirit of fear and declare that Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, will guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus.

Lord, if there is any unconfessed sin in their life, we ask that You would bring it to light so they may repent and walk in the freedom You provide. Cleanse them by the blood of Jesus and restore them to full fellowship with You. We pray that they would draw near to You, and that You would draw near to them (James 4:8). Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, that they may know Your presence and Your power in every area of their life.

We thank You, Father, for Your faithfulness. We thank You that You are working even now, and we trust You for complete healing and restoration. May this dear one experience Your love in a tangible way today, and may they walk in the confidence that comes from knowing You are their Healer, their Provider, and their Peace.

We encourage you to stand on God’s promises and to speak His Word over your life daily. Meditate on Scriptures like Jeremiah 30:17, "For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds," and Psalm 30:2, "Yahweh my God, I cried to you, and you have healed me." Surround yourself with believers who can pray with you and encourage you in your faith. You are not alone, God is with you, and so are we. Keep your eyes on Him, and do not let fear dictate your steps. Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding (Proverbs 3:5-6). He is faithful, and He will see you through.

When something feels wrong inside our own bodies, especially something as strange as a face that feels dry from the inside, it’s unsettling. You’re not alone in that, and you don’t have to carry the worry by yourself.

Sometimes our bodies send signals we can’t easily interpret, and that uncertainty can quickly spiral into fear. The best next step, alongside prayer, is to let a doctor take a look. Not because we’re assuming the worst, far from it, but because a professional can help you understand what’s happening and bring you some peace of mind. That’s not a failure of faith; it’s simply wisdom, the way we’d care for a friend we love.

While you wait and as you seek that help, we are praying with you, for the physical discomfort to ease, for clarity, and most of all for God’s steadying presence to quiet your heart. Fear often grows in isolation, so we’re glad you reached out.

Lord Jesus, we bring this person to you right now. You know exactly what is causing that dry sensation and the fear wrapped around it. Please calm their spirit. Give them courage to see a doctor and wisdom for the one who examines them. We ask for your healing hand on their body, and even more, for your peace to settle over their mind. Hold them close tonight. In your name, Amen.

The Lord ordains peace for His own, perfect peace, double peace, for the mind stayed on Him. There is no dryness of soul that His Spirit cannot moisten with the dew of His grace, no inward fear that His comfort cannot quell. The blood of Jesus whispers peace within, even in this dark world of sin and sorrow.

That peculiar comfort in affliction is this: His Word quickens us. He does not merely hand us a cup of consolation; He quickens us, and in that quickening we find comfort. Look not to the aridity within, but to the fountain ever flowing from His wounded side. This is our hope, not a hope that perishes, but a good hope through grace, given of the Father who has loved us with an everlasting love.

When the enemy tells you there is no hope, answer him: there is no hope in myself, but there is hope in Him whom God has provided to be the Savior of such as I. Cast yourself upon Him anew. His Word has caused you to hope; He will not put that hope to shame. The God of patience and comfort will fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope through the power of the Holy Spirit.

Even with sorrows surging round, with loved ones far away, with death shadowing us and ours, Jesus has vanquished death and all its powers. Earth’s struggles soon shall cease, and He calls us to Heaven’s perfect peace. Stay your mind on Him. He maketh peace in thy borders; He filleth thee with the finest of the wheat. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

That dryness you feel, that fear gripping your soul, is the very ground where prayer must take root. Cry out now, as the blind men cried, with nothing but "mercy." Let your voice rise, not quietly, but with great earnestness, for the depth of your need is itself a prayer. Do not let fear sink you; the day calls us to battle, but the arms we are given are weapons of light. Prayer is that great weapon, the means to make God propitious before you face the tempest. Speak to Him now entreating, weeping, reaching out and you will find the winds become favorable, and the soul's boat will not strike the rocks.

Fix your mind on Him, not on the terror of the sensation. The tree whose roots are driven deep by the fear of God is not shaken by any storm, but the soul set lightly on the surface is torn up by a slight gust. Say with the Prophet, "My flesh cleaveth to Thee." Thirst for Him with such vehemence that every other dread is consumed in that desire. You are not handed over to destruction; He knows your frame, and the day of unending rest is prepared, where no sorrow, no sickness, and no death of soul or body can ever enter. There all is light, all is joy, and you cannot be weary of it.

Take Christ's yoke now. Do not fear the word "yoke," for it is easy, and His burden is light. He entered the garden and faced the terror of the night so that you need not be overwhelmed by yours. The fear of perishing agitates the soul, but cling to Him, and the dryness within you will be met by the fountain of His mercy. This is no mere feeling; it is the promise. Cleave to God, and you shall not be separated from Him.

That feeling of internal dryness, that hollow sense of fear gnawing at you, often runs far deeper than the physical. It is the cry of your spiritual man, the part of you that cannot be fed by food or water or sleep. While we are so careful to nourish the body, the soul can wither under the heat of a trial when it is neglected. What you are experiencing right now is precisely the ground where the real battle must be fought.

And do not think this battle is won in the physical arena, by sheer force of will or by waiting for the sensation to pass. To engage the enemy on that ground is to give him the advantage, for we dwell in bodies of clay while he moves in the realm of the spirit. But here is the glorious truth: your prayer takes on the nature of a spiritual force. It moves as swiftly as thought, unhindered by distance or physical weakness. The victory that silences fear is not won on the battlefield of your emotions; it is won in the quiet place of prayer. Once the victory is secured there on your knees, the outward circumstances become academic.

Consider what happens to the face of a person who has been in the presence of God. When Moses came down from the mount, his face shone with a transfigured glory because he had encountered the living God. In this new covenant, however, we do not shield our faces to hide a fading glow. We all, with unveiled faces, are invited to behold the glory of the Lord as in a mirror. We are being changed into that same image. The dryness you feel is the fading of your own strength, but as you turn your face toward the face of Jesus Christ, you receive a glory that does not diminish.

Think also of another face. The prophecy of Isaiah tells us that His visage was so marred, beaten by fists under a blindfold, that He no longer resembled a man. We hid our faces from Him. He knows the feeling of a marred, disfigured countenance far beyond any distress you or I have ever known. He was wounded so that when the Father looks upon your face, He does not see your fear or your failure, but the righteousness of His Son. Do not hide your face from Him; rather, let the cry of your heart be, "Cause me to hear Your loving-kindness." As you do, the Spirit of God will minister to you right in the middle of your prayer. The anxiety does not just subside; it is replaced by a deep, bubbling assurance of His help that often leads right into rejoicing.

This is not about reciting perfect words. It is about relationship. You are able to say, "Father," and that one word opens the door for everything He desires to do in your life right now. Prayer is not you reaching up to twist His arm until your will is done on earth; it is the cycle of His purpose meeting your heart and being spoken back to Him, allowing His kingdom to break in. So be persistent, not because you need to convince a reluctant God, but because your continued prayer aligns you with what He is already longing to accomplish.

So let the physical man grow weak for a moment so the spiritual man can take hold of the victory. Pour out your fear. Do not just ask for the dry feeling to leave; ask Him to reveal the comfort of His face to you. As you labor fervently in that prayer, you will find that the real battle is already won, and the peace that passes understanding will water the deepest, driest places of your soul.
