We lift up this dear friend before the throne of grace, asking the Lord to move powerfully in every area of his life. Father, we first cry out for deliverance from the chains of alcohol and smoke addictions. Your Word declares in 1 Corinthians 10:13, "No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it." We rebuke these addictions in Jesus' name and ask You to break their hold completely. Fill him with Your Holy Spirit, who gives power to overcome every sinful desire (Galatians 5:16).
Lord, we also pray for complete healing following his surgery. Your Word says in Jeremiah 30:17, "For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds." Touch every cell in his body, remove all pain and complications, and restore him to full strength. Give wisdom to his medical team and surround him with Your peace that surpasses understanding (Philippians 4:7).
For his relationship with his children and grandchildren, we ask You to soften hearts and remove any bitterness or unforgiveness. Your Word commands in Ephesians 4:32, "And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you." We pray for reconciliation and restored bonds of love, that they would see his changed heart and desire to rebuild what was broken.
Regarding his financial situation, we stand on Your promise in Philippians 4:19, "My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus." Close the sales he's been working on and open doors of opportunity that no man can shut (Revelation 3:8). Provide wisdom for financial stewardship and deliver him from any anxiety about provision.
Father, we also pray for this friend's spiritual condition. If he doesn't know You personally as Savior and Lord, we ask that You draw him to Yourself. Your Word says in John 14:6, "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'" May he experience the new birth that comes through faith in Christ (John 3:3) and find true freedom in You.
We declare over him the promise of 2 Corinthians 5:17, "Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new." May he walk in this reality daily, experiencing Your transforming power in every area of his life.
Heavenly Father, we come before You with bold faith, believing that You hear our prayers and will answer according to Your perfect will. Strengthen this man in his inner being, fill him with hope, and let him see Your hand moving in every situation. May he grow closer to You through these trials and become a testimony of Your redeeming love. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
