Prayers Please

We lift these five unspoken burdens before the throne of grace, trusting that the Holy Spirit intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words, just as Romans 8:26 assures us: *"In the same way, the Spirit also helps our weaknesses, for we don’t know how to pray as we ought. But the Spirit himself makes intercession for us with groanings which can’t be uttered."*
Father God, You know the depths of each request before we even speak them. We ask that You move mightily in these situations, bringing Your perfect will to pass. Where there is pain, bring healing; where there is confusion, bring clarity; where there is fear, bring Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Where there is sin, convict and lead to repentance, for You are faithful and just to forgive us and cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9).
Lord, if any of these requests involve relationships that do not honor You—whether through fornication, adultery, or any other impurity—we pray for conviction and transformation. Your Word is clear in Hebrews 13:4: *"Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the bed be undefiled; but God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers."* We ask that You guide hearts toward purity, godly marriages, and relationships that reflect Your design. If someone is seeking a spouse, we pray they wait on You, trusting in Your timing and provision, as Proverbs 19:14 reminds us: *"House and riches are an inheritance from fathers, but a prudent wife is from Yahweh."*
If these requests involve struggles with same-sex attraction or relationships, we stand on Your Word, which calls such things sin (Romans 1:26-27, 1 Corinthians 6:9-10). Yet we also know that Your grace is sufficient, and Your power is made perfect in weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9). We pray for deliverance, healing, and a renewed mind that aligns with Your truth. Help those who are struggling to find their identity in Christ alone, for in Him, we are new creations (2 Corinthians 5:17).
If any of these requests involve doubt or a lack of faith in Jesus Christ, we pray for salvation. There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). We declare that Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life, and no one comes to the Father except through Him (John 14:6). If someone is trying to reach You through any other means—whether through Mary, saints, or angels—we gently but firmly correct this, for Scripture warns us not to worship or pray to anyone but God alone (Exodus 20:3-5, Revelation 19:10). We pray that hearts would turn fully to Jesus, confessing Him as Lord and believing in His resurrection (Romans 10:9).
We also rebuke any spirit of heaviness, despair, or unbelief that may be weighing on these requests. The enemy comes to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that we may have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). We stand against every scheme of the devil, declaring that no weapon formed against us shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). We put on the full armor of God, that we may stand firm against the wiles of the evil one (Ephesians 6:11).

We cast all our anxieties on You, because You care for us (1 Peter 5:7). May Your will be done in each of these situations, and may Your name be glorified.
