Lord, please help my friend. He is desperate and suffering. Grant him peace and hope. I worry that he will try to end his life. Show me how best to help him. Surround him with your Holy Spirit and let him understand that I am trying by best to help him In the name of Jesus Christ, please Lord. Help him. Amen.

We join you in lifting up your friend to the Lord, knowing that our God is a God of comfort, hope, and deliverance. The despair your friend is experiencing breaks our hearts, but we take great encouragement in knowing that Jesus is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. The Scriptures remind us in Psalm 34:18, *"Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit."* Your friend is not beyond the reach of God’s love, and neither are you as you seek to be a vessel of His grace.

We also remember the words of Jesus in Matthew 11:28, where He says, *"Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest."* Your friend’s burden may feel unbearable, but Jesus is calling him to lay it at His feet. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but Christ came to give life abundantly (John 10:10). Suicide is a lie from the pit of hell, whispering that there is no hope, but we know that Jesus is the Way, the Truth, and the Life (John 14:6). There is always hope in Him.

We commend you for your faithfulness in interceding for your friend and for your desire to be a source of help to him. The Lord will guide you in how to support him. Proverbs 3:5-6 tells us, *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."* As you seek the Lord, He will show you practical ways to be there for your friend—whether through listening, speaking truth, or connecting him with godly counsel or resources. You are not alone in this; the Holy Spirit is your Helper, and He will give you the words to say (Luke 12:12).

We must also address the spiritual battle at hand. The enemy is prowling like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour (1 Peter 5:8), but greater is He who is in us than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4). Put on the full armor of God (Ephesians 6:10-18) as you stand in the gap for your friend. Pray against the spirits of despair, hopelessness, and death that may be tormenting him. Declare the victory of Christ over these forces, for our God is mighty to save!

Let us also encourage your friend to cry out to Jesus, even if he feels distant from God. The Psalmist wrote in Psalm 130:1-2, *"Out of the depths I have cried to you, Yahweh. Lord, hear my voice. Let your ears be attentive to the voice of my supplications."* God hears the cries of His children, and He will not turn away from a sincere heart seeking Him. If your friend does not know Jesus as his Savior, now is the time for him to surrender his life to Christ. There is no hope apart from Him, and no peace that lasts outside of a relationship with Jesus. Remind him that salvation is found in no one else, *"for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men, by which we must be saved!"* (Acts 4:12).

Lastly, we urge you to ensure your friend is not isolated. Encourage him to reach out to his church family, a pastor, or a trusted believer who can walk alongside him. If he is in immediate danger, do not hesitate to seek professional help or contact emergency services. We are called to bear one another’s burdens (Galatians 6:2), and sometimes that means taking bold action to protect life.

Now, let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up this precious soul who is in such deep despair. Lord, You see his pain, his loneliness, and his suffering. You know the thoughts and intentions of his heart, and You alone can bring the comfort and peace he so desperately needs. We ask You to surround him with Your presence, Lord, and let him feel the nearness of Your Holy Spirit. Break through the darkness that envelops him and flood his soul with Your light and hope.

Father, we rebuke the spirit of suicide and every lie of the enemy that tells him there is no way out. We declare that Jesus is his Way, his Truth, and his Life. We speak life over him, Lord, and ask You to renew his mind and heart with Your Word. Let him know that he is loved, valued, and purposed by You. Remind him that his life is precious in Your sight, and You have plans for him—plans for good and not for evil, to give him hope and a future (Jeremiah 29:11).

Lord, give our sister the wisdom and strength to be a source of support and encouragement to her friend. Show her how to love him well, to speak Your truth in love, and to point him to You in every conversation. May she be a light in his darkness, reflecting Your love and compassion. Guide her steps, Lord, and let her actions be led by Your Spirit.

We pray for divine intervention in this situation. If there are strongholds of depression, anxiety, or spiritual oppression, we ask You to break them in the mighty name of Jesus. Set him free from every chain that binds him, and let him experience the freedom that comes from knowing You. If he has not surrendered his life to You, Lord, we pray that today would be the day of his salvation. Draw him to Yourself, and let him find refuge in Your arms.

Father, we also ask for Your protection over his mind and heart. Guard him from the enemy’s attacks, and let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard his heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). Surround him with Your angels, Lord, and place godly people in his path who can speak life and truth into his situation.

We thank You, Lord, that You are a God who hears and answers prayer. We trust You with this situation, knowing that You are able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think (Ephesians 3:20). We commit our friend into Your hands, and we ask for a miracle of healing, restoration, and hope. In the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.

Stand firm in your faith, dear sister. Do not grow weary in praying for your friend, for the effective, fervent prayer of a righteous person avails much (James 5:16). Keep pointing him to Jesus, the Author and Finisher of our faith (Hebrews 12:2). The Lord is with you both, and He will see you through this storm. Trust in Him, and do not be afraid. He is faithful.

We're here with you, praying for your friend. It's heartbreaking to see someone we care about in such despair, but we find comfort knowing that our God is a God of hope and healing. Let's remember that even in the darkest times, Jesus is always near, ready to offer rest and comfort (Matthew 11:28-29).

We're praying for your friend to feel God's presence, to know that he's loved and valued. We're asking God to break through the darkness and fill him with His light and hope. We're also praying for wisdom for you, dear friend, as you support him. May God guide your steps and give you the right words to say (Luke 12:12).

Let's keep encouraging your friend to turn to Jesus, even if he feels distant from God. God hears the cries of His children, and He won't turn away from a sincere heart seeking Him (Psalm 130:1-2). If your friend doesn't know Jesus, now is the time for him to surrender his life to Christ. There's no hope apart from Him.

Lastly, let's ensure your friend isn't isolated. Encourage him to reach out to his church family, a pastor, or a trusted believer. If he's in immediate danger, don't hesitate to seek professional help or contact emergency services.

Let's pray together:

"Dear Lord, we come to You with heavy hearts, lifting up our friend. Lord, You see his pain, his loneliness, and his suffering. Surround him with Your presence, let him feel Your Holy Spirit. Break through the darkness, flood his soul with Your light and hope. Rebuke the spirit of suicide, declare that Jesus is his Way, Truth, and Life. Renew his mind and heart with Your Word, remind him that he's loved, valued, and purposed by You. Give us wisdom and strength to support him, guide our steps, and let our actions be led by Your Spirit. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

I prayed that God in Jesus' name will answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God Loves You. Thank You Jesus!!!

Be a Prayer Warrior: “Praying for others”

We want to thank you for allowing us the sacred opportunity to lift up your friend before the Lord these past few days. Our hearts have been burdened alongside yours as we’ve prayed for his desperate situation, crying out for God’s peace to guard his heart and mind in Christ Jesus. We’ve asked the Father to surround him with His Holy Spirit, to break through the darkness with hope, and to give you wisdom as you seek to be a light in his life.

We know the weight of watching someone you care about suffer so deeply, and we’ve been praying for your strength as well—that God would show you how to love him well while trusting the outcome to the Lord. The enemy would love to see this dear one isolated in despair, but we stand firm in the truth that our God is a God of miracles, redemption, and relentless love. He hears every prayer, and He is at work even when we cannot see it.

If your friend has experienced even the smallest glimmer of hope or relief, we would love to rejoice with you in praise. Sometimes answers come in ways we don’t expect—a moment of clarity, an unexpected word of encouragement, or a new openness to help. Please share with us how God has moved, so we can give Him glory together.

If the battle still rages and the burden feels just as heavy, we urge you to post an update so we can continue to storm the gates of heaven on his behalf. We will not grow weary in praying for his life, his soul, and his restoration. The Lord is close to the brokenhearted, and we believe He is drawing near to your friend even now.

May you feel the Father’s presence as you walk this difficult road, and may He give you supernatural peace as you trust Him. We are here with you, standing in the gap, believing for breakthrough. Our prayers do not stop here—we will keep lifting him up, asking God to replace despair with hope, confusion with clarity, and loneliness with the knowledge that he is deeply loved by the Savior.

In Jesus Name.
