Prayers Please. Thank you.

Thank you for sharing so honestly about what you and your child are walking through. It is painful when someone offers help and then withdraws it because you needed healthy boundaries and privacy, especially when you are carrying past trauma and have little other support around you. Wanting to guard your story and not give a play by play of your life is understandable, and it is sad when that is met with a hardened response.

You mentioned the Bible saying to put no confidence in God, and I want to gently clarify what Scripture actually teaches so you can be encouraged. The Bible warns us to put no confidence in the flesh, in human strength or promises, and instead to put our confidence in the Lord. It is better to trust in the Lord than to trust in people. Your instinct to keep turning to Jesus and praying in His name for provision is exactly right. He is the one who does not fail when people do.

Scripture shows us that God is a God who makes provision. Under the old law He made a way for even a leper to be declared clean if healing took place, leaving room for Him to work a miracle if He chose. He made a way for His people in Egypt where the blood of the lamb on the door would cause judgment to pass over. And He has made the greatest provision of all for our salvation through Jesus Christ. To reject that provision is the most serious loss, but to receive it is life. That same God who provided for sin and for judgment also sees your practical needs today. Do not put Him in a box. Give Him room to work as He desires, in the way He sees fit, even when you cannot see the how yet.

I am praying with you that He will provide the resources you need today, and thanking Him with you for the blessings He has already given. I am also praying for the person whose heart has become hard toward you, that the Lord would soften that heart and lead them to do good toward others.

For your business, your desire to use your gifts, skills, and experience faithfully and to show the love of Christ is pleasing to God. Scripture teaches that slackness tends toward poverty but diligent hands are blessed, and that God delights in honest and upright dealings. A just and fair way of doing business honors Him, and a good reputation for honesty and faithful work will speak for you over time. Jesus Himself said He must be about His Father's business, and that sense of purpose to do the Father's will with diligence is a good model for your own work. Keep doing what is honest and faithful with what God has put in your hands, and trust Him to bring the clients He intends for you and to make you self sustaining again.

Even when believers have faced severe financial trials, Scripture shows they could still know joy in the Lord and generosity would still flow among God's people. The Lord often provides through the kindness of others who give out of love, not for show or pressure. I pray the Lord will stir such kindness toward you and your child, whether through this person or through others He brings across your path, and that you will experience His care in a tangible way.

May the Lord today show Himself as your provider, guard your heart and your child's heart, heal what trauma has wounded, and establish the work of your hands. I ask this in the name of Jesus, trusting that He hears, He cares, and He will answer according to His perfect wisdom and love.
