Prayers Please and Thank You

Please pray in the name of Jesus for me. I am seeking employment, consulting and building my business on the side after leaving toxic and ungodly employment situation a ~couple months ago. I have applied and applied. No interviews or new employment yet. Staying in the Word of God, trying to be still and seeking God’s direction and guidance. God may be giving me a season to restore presently and draw closer to him. His time is always the right time and he has plans for us all that we don’t understand. I know that God in Jesus’s name is going before me as it is written in the bible: “The LORD himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. We join with you in prayer in the name of Jesus and we thank you for sharing your heart with us. We praise God that you chose to leave a toxic and ungodly employment situation, for we are called to walk in holiness and not to be yoked with what dishonors Him, and we rejoice that you are staying in the Word of God and seeking to be still before Him in this season.

We hear your diligence in applying and seeking both employment and consulting work while building your business, and the discouragement that can come when no interviews or doors have opened yet. We want to encourage you that God sees your faithfulness and your labor, and His timing is perfect even when we do not understand His plans. You quoted a precious promise and we cling to it with you, Yahweh, he it is who does go before you. He will be with you. He will not fail you nor forsake you. Don’t be afraid. Don’t be discouraged. Deuteronomy 31:8. We believe He is indeed going before you now, preparing the right opportunity, the right clients, and the right path for your business.

We also hear wisdom in your discernment that God may be giving you a season to restore and draw closer to Him. Scripture tells us to Be still, and know that I am God. Psalm 46:10 and that we should Commit your deeds to Yahweh, and your plans shall succeed. Proverbs 16:3. This waiting season is not wasted, for the Lord is shaping you, renewing your strength, and aligning your steps. The steps of a man are established by Yahweh. He delights in his way. Psalm 37:23. And we know that all things work together for good for those who love God, for those who are called according to his purpose. Romans 8:28.

We also remember the Lord’s call to seek Him first in all our work, But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Matthew 6:33, and Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men. Colossians 3:23. As you consult and build your business, we encourage you to continue to commit each application, each proposal, and each business decision to the Lord in prayer, trusting that He will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:19. For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future. Jeremiah 29:11.

We pray together now for you.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, and we lift up our dear sibling to Your throne of grace. We thank You that You have not abandoned them, that You go before them and You are with them in this season of seeking and waiting. Lord, we ask for Your clear direction and guidance for employment, for consulting opportunities, and for the business they are building. Open the doors that no man can shut and close the doors that are not of You. Grant favor with employers and clients, grant interviews and divine connections, and provide for every financial need according to Your riches in glory. Grant peace that surpasses all understanding as they wait on Your perfect timing, and use this season of restoration to draw them even closer to You, to renew their strength and to deepen their trust in Your Word. Help them to be still and know that You are God, to commit their deeds to You, and to work heartily as unto You. We rebuke any spirit of fear, discouragement, or doubt, and we speak Your hope and future over them. May Your will be done in their life and may You receive all the glory for the provision and placement You will provide. In the name of Jesus Christ we pray, amen.

Thank you for sharing so honestly with us. Walking away from a toxic work situation takes courage, and then to keep applying without interviews can feel discouraging and wear you down. We hear both your steady trust in the Lord and the real strain of this waiting.

We are encouraged that you are staying in the Word and trying to be still and listen for His direction. Recognizing this may be a season to restore and draw closer to Him is a wise way to frame it, even while the need for provision is pressing.

We know a stretch without work can shake more than finances, it can shake how we see ourselves. Your worth before God is not measured by a job title or how quickly an application is answered, even as you faithfully steward the skills He has given you through consulting and building your business on the side.

A couple of steady next steps that have helped others in this kind of transition are to set a simple weekly rhythm so the search does not consume every day, and to name the most immediate financial pressure point and talk it through with one trusted, wise person who knows your situation. It can also help to reach out personally to one contact a week in your field, not just online applications, to let people know you are available.

We pray for you now. Father, in Jesus' name we lift our friend to You. Provide for every need, give clear guidance for the next right step, and grant peace as You go before him. Open the doors You have for him in Your perfect timing and keep him close to You in this season. Amen.

We have received your request with thankfulness and we join you in prayer before the throne of grace. Your resolve to leave what was toxic and ungodly, to stay in the Word of God, to be still and seek His direction while you wait, is itself a testimony that the Lord is working in you and drawing you closer to Himself.

You have set your heart upon a sure promise, that the Lord Himself goes before you and will be with you, He will never leave you nor forsake you, therefore do not be afraid and do not be discouraged. How sweet to remember that our God is a waiting God, waiting to be gracious, and that He makes us a waiting people. As it is written, My soul, wait thou only upon God, be thou silent before Him and rest calm and undisturbed. They that wait upon the Lord shall not want any good thing. And again, Wait on the Lord, be of good courage, and He shall strengthen thine heart, wait, I say, on the Lord. Waiting upon God sustains courage, for He gives a mysterious strength by His Spirit to the soul that looks to Him alone, and He guides His people by His Word and Spirit, giving balance, humility, contentment and acquiescence to His will, so that we are not left to our own haste or counsel.

We pray for you now in the name of Jesus Christ, our only Saviour and mediator, through whom alone we have access to the Father.

Our Father in heaven, we thank You that You see this one who seeks You, who has applied and labored and found no open door as yet. You know the desire for honest employment and for consulting work, and the care to build this business upon faithful foundations. We ask You to go before Your child as You have promised, to give clear guidance in temporal affairs, to grant wisdom for each application and each step, and to open doors according to Your perfect time and will. Strengthen the heart in this season of waiting, renew courage, banish fear, and use this time of restoring to teach Your statutes and to deepen communion with Yourself. Provide what is needed for daily bread, keep from discouragement, and let all be done to Your glory. We ask this in the saving name of Jesus, Amen.

Continue to meditate on His statutes and to wait only upon Him. He who waits to be gracious has not forgotten you, and He who goes before you will not fail you nor abandon you. May He keep you waiting courageously till His good purpose is fulfilled.

God, bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, Your righteousness, and to always respect and obey You. Bless me to know You, the way You want me to know You. So that I will trust You with my life and anyway that You move in my life. Bless me to trust You with all my heart, lean not to my own understanding, acknowledge You in all my ways, and allow You to direct my footsteps and actions. Bless me with knowledge, wisdom, and understanding in all You have called me to do.

God heal me in every area of my life. Deliver and cleanse me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God-conscious-solution-focused-heart-mind-spirit-and-attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God, all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, and all those I love and care about.
