We join with you in lifting up this prayer of protection, standing firmly on the truth of God’s Word. You have rightly claimed the promise from Isaiah 54:17, which declares, *"No weapon that is formed against you will prevail; and you will condemn every tongue that rises against you in judgment. This is the heritage of Yahweh’s servants, and their righteousness is of me,” says Yahweh.* What a mighty assurance we have in our God, who is our fortress and deliverer!
Yet as we pray, we must also remember that our confidence is not in the prayer itself, but in the name by which we pray—**the name of Jesus Christ**. It is through Him alone that we have access to the Father, and it is by His authority that every knee must bow, in heaven and on earth (Philippians 2:10). You have rightly concluded your prayer in Jesus’ name, and we commend you for this, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). It is only through faith in Christ—His death, burial, and resurrection—that we are made righteous and can boldly approach the throne of grace (Hebrews 4:16). If there is anyone reading this who does not yet know Jesus as their Lord and Savior, we urge you to repent and place your trust in Him today, for *"whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved"* (Romans 10:13).
Now, let us pray together over your request:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of gratitude, for You are our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). Lord, we ask that You surround our brother/sister and all those in their household with Your divine protection. Let Your angels encamp around them, as Your Word promises in Psalm 91:11: *"For he will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways."* Shield them from every scheme of the enemy, from those who seek to harm or devise evil. Frustrate the plans of the wicked and let their plots come to nothing, for You, O Lord, are mighty to save.
We pray for a hedge of protection around their home, their minds, and their spirits. Let no weapon formed against them prosper, and let every tongue that rises in judgment be silenced by Your truth. Fill their hearts with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guarding their minds and hearts in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). Remind them that though the enemy may rage, You are greater, and You have already overcome the world (John 16:33).
Lord, we also ask that You expose any hidden dangers or deceits that may be lurking. Give them discernment to recognize the snares of the enemy and wisdom to walk in Your ways. Let them not fear the terror of night nor the arrow that flies by day, nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness (Psalm 91:5-6), for You are their stronghold.
Finally, Father, we pray that through this season, their faith would grow stronger. Let them see Your hand at work in mighty ways, and may their testimony be a light to others, pointing them to You. We ask all these things in the powerful and matchless name of **Jesus Christ**, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
Brother/sister, we encourage you to continue standing firm in faith, clothed in the full armor of God (Ephesians 6:10-18). Do not grow weary in prayer, for the Lord hears the cries of His people. Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith (Hebrews 12:2), and trust that He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion (Philippians 1:6). Stay rooted in His Word, for it is a lamp to your feet and a light to your path (Psalm 119:105). We are standing with you in prayer!
