Prayers needed.

I lost my job a month ago, and finding another job has been so difficult. Not out of incompetency but because the job market is so rough, along with trying to pass an exam for a month out (in order to get another job). It’s been tough to say the least. Just when I thought it was going really well with my ex, I find out he’s planning trips with this big girl from ###, who in fact he’s been talking to for a while. I’ve held this man down, when he couldn’t pay rent - I gave him rent money. When he couldn’t take care of his son, I did. I really thought this man was my love. For him to betray me is really hurtful. Then he just treating me like I was just the help. Ridiculous. Energy is off. When I go to talk to him about it, it ends up being us arguing and fighting. And it ends up being WW3. I’m so exhausted and confused. I just need some guidance and for God to really show me and hold my hands through all this. My God is mighty and he’s put me through the hardest battles, but because I know I’m one of his favorites and strongest soldiers, I know I’m going to be okay. But in these times, I really start to wither at the thought of all that’s happening. Please father, help me. I can’t lose my spark and faith right now. I need it more than ever.

We hear your cry, dear sister in Christ, and we stand with you in this season of trial, lifting your burdens before the throne of grace. The weight of unemployment, betrayal, and emotional exhaustion is heavy, but we serve a God who is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). Let us first address the pain of betrayal, for it cuts deep when love is met with unfaithfulness. You poured out your heart, your resources, and your care for this man, only to be treated as "just the help." This is not the way of Christ, nor is it the way of godly love. The Bible warns us, "Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what partnership has righteousness with lawlessness? Or what fellowship has light with darkness?" (2 Corinthians 6:14). It grieves us to see the way this relationship has unfolded, for it does not reflect the covenant love God designed for His children.

We must also address the sin of fornication, for any sexual relationship outside the covenant of marriage is a violation of God’s holy design (1 Corinthians 6:18-20). This is not to shame you, but to call you back to the purity and protection of God’s ways. The enemy would love nothing more than to keep you entangled in this toxic cycle of emotional turmoil and ungodly attachment. We rebuke the spirit of confusion, bitterness, and strife that has entered this situation in the mighty name of Jesus. The arguing and fighting you describe are not of God, He calls us to peace, even in the face of betrayal (Romans 12:18).

Now, let us lift your job search and exam before the Lord. The struggle to find work and the pressure of passing this test are real, but we serve a God who supplies all our needs according to His riches in glory (Philippians 4:19). We declare that doors of opportunity will open for you, doors no man can shut (Revelation 3:8). The Lord sees your diligence and your faithfulness, and He will not abandon you in this season. We pray for favor with employers, clarity in your studies, and supernatural peace as you wait on Him.

You are right to declare that God is mighty and that He has brought you through battles before. But let us gently remind you that our strength does not come from being one of God’s "favorites" or "strongest soldiers", it comes from Christ alone. The Bible says, "For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast" (Ephesians 2:8-9). Your identity is not in your strength or your suffering, but in the finished work of Jesus on the cross. When you feel yourself withering, run to Him, not to your own resilience or even your past victories. He is the vine, and you are the branch; apart from Him, you can do nothing (John 15:5).

Let us pray for you now:

Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of our sister, lifting her heart, her mind, and her circumstances to You. Lord, You see the pain of betrayal, the weight of financial strain, and the exhaustion of this season. We ask that You would heal her heart and replace every lie of the enemy with Your truth. Remind her that she is deeply loved, not because of what she has done, but because of what Christ has done for her. We break the chains of emotional attachment to this man who has not honored You or her, and we declare freedom over her in Jesus’ name.

Father, we ask for provision in her job search. Open doors that no one can close, and grant her favor with those who can offer her employment. Give her peace as she studies for this exam, and let Your wisdom fill her mind. We rebuke the spirit of fear and anxiety, and we declare that You have not given her a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7).

Lord, we ask that You would restore her spark and her faith. When she feels weak, remind her that Your power is made perfect in weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9). Hold her hand through this storm, and let her feel Your presence in tangible ways. Surround her with godly community who can speak life into her and encourage her in You.

We thank You, Father, that You are working all things together for her good (Romans 8:28). Strengthen her to walk in purity, wisdom, and trust in You. In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

Sister, we encourage you to draw near to God in this season. Spend time in His Word, even if it’s just a few verses each day. Let Psalm 23 be your declaration: "The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside still waters. He restores my soul" (Psalm 23:1-3). You are not alone in this. Lean on Him, and let His peace guard your heart and mind (Philippians 4:7). If you have not already, consider seeking out a biblical counselor or a trusted pastor who can walk with you through this season. You are loved, you are seen, and you are held by the One who will never leave you nor forsake you (Hebrews 13:5).

Oh, sister, we’re right here with you in this heavy heart. We can feel the weight of the betrayal pressing down, how painful it must be to realize someone you trusted so deeply saw you as just "the help" after all you gave. That kind of wound stings like nothing else, especially when it comes from someone who claimed love. But let’s hold tight to the truth: God sees every tear you’ve shed, every act of kindness you extended, and He will not let those go to waste. This man’s choices were his own, not yours. You were never just a helper; you were a woman who loved with a heart full of grace, something the world so rarely sees and the enemy so desperately wants to twist against you.

Now, we know the job hunt and exam stress are adding fuel to this fire. It’s exhausting to feel like you’re running in circles while life feels out of sync. But we’re declaring over you: Your season of waiting is not a season of waste. The Lord has a way of turning what feels like dead ends into pathways you never saw coming. Maybe this delay is preparing you for something better, something that aligns more perfectly with His plans for your life. And that exam? It’s not just a test of your knowledge, it’s a test of your trust in Him. He’s already written the answers in your heart; now it’s about releasing your grip on fear and letting His peace take over.

We also hear the confusion in your voice, the way this man’s actions have left you reeling, the arguing, the emotional whiplash. It’s okay to feel lost right now, but let’s not let confusion become a prison. You don’t have to have all the answers. You just need to keep your eyes on Jesus, who is the same yesterday, today, and forever. When you feel like you’re being pulled in a million directions, we’re praying for a stillness to come over you, a quiet assurance that no matter what happens next, you are held. The Lord isn’t just watching over you; He’s actively weaving this season into something that will strengthen your faith, deepen your reliance on Him, and prepare you for what’s ahead.

And to the exhaustion, to the moments when you feel like you’re barely holding on, we’re right there with you. It’s okay to admit it’s hard. But we’re declaring freedom over the spirit of weariness that wants to steal your joy. You’re not just surviving; you’re being shaped. And one day, you’ll look back and see how every step, every prayer, every tear, was part of His perfect plan.

So sister, let’s stand together and say aloud: I choose to trust You, Jesus. Even when it hurts. Even when the path isn’t clear. You are my Shepherd, my Provider, my Strength. I surrender this season to You. And we’re right here, cheering you on, praying for clarity, for peace, for the breakthrough you’re longing for. You’re not alone in this.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!
