Disciple of Prayer
Please pray for my sons brain to heal. He is special needs and getting more aggressive. We love him so much , please pray that he is slow to anger, and that God will one day give him a voice.

We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up your precious son to the Lord, who knits together every fiber of our being in our mother’s womb. Father, we know that You see every struggle, every tear, and every silent prayer offered on his behalf. Your Word tells us in Psalm 139:13-14, "For you formed my inmost being. You knit me together in my mother’s womb. I will give thanks to you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made." Lord, we declare that this child is fearfully and wonderfully made by Your hands, and we ask for Your healing touch to rest upon his mind and spirit.

We pray for healing in his brain, Lord. You are the Great Physician, and nothing is too difficult for You. In Jeremiah 32:27, You declare, "Behold, I am Yahweh, the God of all flesh. Is there anything too hard for me?" We stand on this promise and ask that You would bring restoration, peace, and clarity to his mind. Calm the storms within him, Father, and replace his aggression with gentleness. Your Word says in Proverbs 15:1, "A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger." We ask that You would fill him with Your Spirit of peace, that he may be slow to anger and quick to respond with kindness.

Lord, we also lift up his voice to You. We know that You hear the cries of the mute and the unspoken longings of the heart. In Exodus 4:11, You ask, "Who makes one mute, or deaf, or seeing, or blind? Isn’t it I, Yahweh?" You are sovereign over all things, and we trust that if it is Your will, You can open his mouth to speak. Until that day, Father, give him other ways to communicate, through love, through gestures, through the patience and understanding of those around him. Let him know that he is seen, heard, and deeply loved, not just by his family, but by You.

We rebuke any spirit of frustration, confusion, or despair that may be affecting him or your family, in the mighty name of Jesus. We declare that the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard his heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). We also pray for wisdom and strength for you and your family as you care for him. Parenting a special needs child is a sacred calling, and we ask that You would fill you with supernatural patience, endurance, and joy. Remind you daily that Your strength is made perfect in weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9), and that You are carrying this burden alongside you.

Father, we ask that You would surround this family with a community of believers who will uplift them, pray for them, and offer practical help when needed. Let them never feel alone in this journey. We also pray for breakthroughs in medical understanding, therapies, or interventions that could bring relief and progress for your son. You are the God who does miracles, and we trust You to move on his behalf.

Above all, Lord, we pray that this child would come to know You personally. That even if his voice is never heard in words, his heart would cry out to You, and You would draw near to him. In Romans 8:26, we are reminded, "In the same way, the Spirit also helps our weaknesses, for we don’t know how to pray as we ought. But the Spirit himself makes intercession for us with groanings which can’t be uttered." We trust that the Holy Spirit is interceding for him in ways we cannot see or understand.

We commit this precious child into Your hands, Lord, and we trust You to complete the good work You have begun in him. May Your name be glorified in his life, and may he grow in wisdom, stature, and favor with God and man (Luke 2:52). We ask all these things in the powerful, matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

We hear the deep love you have for your son in every word, and we are honored to join you in carrying this request to the Lord. The daily weight of watching your child struggle, and then facing increased aggression on top of that, can feel so heavy. Please know you are not carrying it alone, we are praying right alongside you.

It’s completely understandable to long for healing for his brain, for gentleness in his spirit, and for the day when he can use his own voice. God knows those desires and He sees every tender moment of care you pour into him. Even when progress seems hidden, your faithful love is planting seeds that matter.

If the aggression is worsening, it might be worth checking in with his doctors or therapists, just to rule out any physical discomfort or changes that could be contributing. Sometimes that kind of practical step can be a quiet answer to prayer. You might also find comfort in connecting with other parents who truly get it, local special needs support groups can be a lifeline, a place where you don’t have to explain yourself.

We’re asking God to give you steadiness on the hard days, to calm your son’s heart, and to open pathways you haven’t yet imagined.

Father, we bring this boy before You now. Bring peace to his mind and body, soften his anger, and protect him and his family. Grant wisdom to the doctors and gentle helpers around him. In Your time, Lord, unlock his voice and let healing flow, whether in an instant or step by step. Wrap this mom in Your comfort and renew her strength. In Jesus’ name, amen.

The prayer that has come before us this day touches upon a trial deep and piercing to a parent's heart. You have cried out for the healing of your son's brain, for a calming of the aggression that afflicts him, and for God to one day give him a voice. This sickness is of a sort that wears down the spirit with many sorrows, a long privation bidding adieu to joy. Yet it is precisely here, in the depths of your need, that the balm of the Gospel may be applied. Calvary is the place for the healing balm. The tree which is for the healing of the nations grows in Heaven, but its leaves come down to us in our sickness below. Jesus is that Tree of Life. Look not to mere earthly remedies alone, but to Him, the great conduit Head from which abundant streams of healing flow. A leaf from this Tree, a word of His recognized as His and coming home to the heart, brings healing to head and heart, conscience and imagination, desire and affection.

Consider this: what is needed is not an external voice of thunder to confirm, but the touch and the voice of Christ to make us conscious within ourselves of His power. The voice out of the cloud would but dismay and distract, the voice of Christ cheers and comforts. You crave a voice for your beloved son, and well you might, for the voice is a glorious instrument. Yet know that God's own majestic voice is a powerful voice; He has only to speak, and things are done. Christ's voice had such almighty power about it that He needed not to utter many words. When He pardoned the palsied man, saying, "Son, be of good cheer; your sins are forgiven you," pardon and healing were one. The healing power of the Gospel is power to forgive sin. Since sin is the root of all disorder, apply first to the Physician of souls, that in His gracious pardon, a spiritual quieting may begin its work deep within, even where the mind is clouded.

Do not think it a small thing to pray that your son be slow to anger. An agitated spirit is a sickness needing the remedy that no human hand can apply. Only He who binds up the broken-hearted can do it. I have often labored to bind up a broken heart and could never effect it. This is the work of God alone. And so, sow this seed of prayer for him, sow it beside all waters, but especially sow to yourselves. There should be a special sowing whenever we desire a special harvest. Our Lord Jesus, before He did some special action, retired to pray; there were peculiar seasons of it that more power might go out from Him. There are special periods when the power to heal is most manifestly displayed. Be earnest, therefore, in your sowing, pleading the leaves of that Tree which are for healing, and asking not merely for a calm exterior, but for the inward reign of the Prince of Peace.

The day may appear tarrying, but be patient. The Sun of Righteousness has risen with healing in His wings. Even now, as you bring him before the throne, believe that the great Father who knows our frame is at work. When Jesus comes and dwells with a soul, a voice may yet be formed, but even before that day, His touch can be an equally powerful assurance. If the voice is long in coming, remember the inner witness: he to whom Christ speaks needs no further proof than the power of that voice in his own conscience. Pray that Christ's voice would speak peace to your son's troubled heart, even if his lips cannot form the words. Pray that you would hear Christ's voice for yourselves, for to preach Christ we must hear Christ. Waste no time in applying to Him, hastening with words like these: "Jesus! Master! Hear my cry! Save me, heal me with a word." Cast yourselves and your son upon that mighty hand, believing that though the healing be gradual, the final issue stands sure in the covenant of grace.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

The affliction of your son has not escaped the notice of God. As He once said to Moses, "I have seen the affliction of My people and have heard their groaning," so now He sees your tears and hears your cries. Do not think that His delay is neglect; Moses himself waited forty years in the wilderness before the angel appeared in the flame. God's timing is perfect, and His compassion is stirred by your love for your child.

You ask that your son be slow to anger and that God would give him a voice. These are holy desires. Anger is a fire that consumes both the one who burns and those nearby, but God can quench it at the source. When the Lord permitted "eye for eye," it was not to unleash retaliation but to restrain evil through the fear of consequences. How much more will He heal the injured brain and calm the raging heart by His grace! Pray boldly for this healing, and do not lose heart. The same voice that thundered from heaven proclaiming Christ as the beloved Son is the voice that speaks peace to the stormy soul. If He can command the winds and waves, can He not still the turmoil within your son?

As for a voice, do not limit what God may do. The Bridegroom’s voice brings joy, and the Spirit intercedes for us with groanings that words cannot express. Even now, though your son cannot speak, the Spirit prays within him, bearing witness that he is a child of God and an heir of eternal life. One day, whether in this age or in the Resurrection, he will join the chorus of the redeemed, praising the One who gives speech to the mute. For consider: Christ willingly became the Son of David so that we, who are but slaves, might be made sons of God. Your son’s worth is not measured by his abilities but by the image of God in him and the price paid for his soul.

Therefore, do not give in to despair. Persevere in prayer, and let the words of the Gospel sink deep into your heart. We will join our prayers with yours, asking that the God of all comfort will visit your son with healing, grant him a gentle spirit, and in due time open his lips to declare the praises of God. Stand firm, for the place where you suffer with Christ is holy ground.
